Oh Come on Obama, why you have to do the swearing in Twice??

It was not the Declaration of Independence…

But only a few simple lines…

Yet Obama stumbled while swearing in the oath of office as the 44th President of the US, at Washington DC on the 20th January 2009, in front of a million people and billions more watching live on TV…

Why???

Some said Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, John Roberts did it on purpose (out of vengeance???)

(In 2005, Obama was one of 22 senators who voted against putting Chief Justice John Roberts on the Supreme Court.)

The oath is supposed to be very short, and even you and me can do it with our eyes closed!!!

“ I Barack Husein Obama, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God."

What Obama said was -

"I Barak Husein Obama do solemnly swear that I will [ . . .] execute the Office of President of the United States faithfully, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God."

In the oath, as set out in the US Constitution, the new President is supposed to swear to "faithfully execute the office of president of the United States".

But as Chief Justice Roberts read out the oath for Mr Obama to repeat, he moved the word "faithfully" to the end of the phrase.

Mr Obama, apparently noticing the error, hesitated. Mr Roberts repeated the phrase incorrectly, and Mr Obama followed suit, using the erroneous formula.

In the end, Barack Obama has to be sworn in as US president for the second time in 2 days, because of the word ‘faithfully” was given out of order during Tuesday's ceremony.

Chief Justice Roberts, administered the oath again at the White House today 7.35 pm Washington time.

In contrast to the first oath-taking, Mr Obama did not swear on a Bible and his wife Michelle was not at his side.

And instead of an audience of millions, only a few close aides saw the second attempt, with even journalists excluded from the Map Room of the White House.

But Mr Obama joked: "We decided it was so much fun...." before adding: "We're going to do it very slowly."

However, Obama’s inauguration was well received in the world.

Even newspaper headlines in Indonesia praised the new President, with one headline read “ANAK MENTENG, PENGUASA DUNIA”, which means Obama who used to live in Menteng, Jakarta for 4 years after his mom married an Indonesian, is now a world leader!!

And apart from the outgoing President, George W. Bush, another man looked relaxed and composed during the entire ceremony, for he very nearly become the 44th US President, 4 years ago, instead of Obama.

That person is Senator John Kerry, a former Vietnam veteran.

Kerry was the Presidential nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2004 US Presidential election against the Republican incumbent – President George W. Bush.

On November 3, 2004, Kerry conceded the race.

Kerry won 59.03 million votes or about 48 percent of the popular vote;

However Bush won 62.04 million votes, or about 51 percent of the popular vote.

In the final tally Kerry had 251 electoral votes to Bush's 286. It was close.

In January 2007, Kerry announced he would not run for President in 2008, instead choosing to run for another Senate term which he succeed.

Poor baby, may God bless you...

I cannot understand this... may God bless the baby girl, she is 3 months old but was put in a car boot and thrown into a garbage bin by a man (supposedly the father.)

Luckily, the baby was rescued by a security guard who witnessed the whole incident which happens near the Jelatek LRT station in Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.

Earlier, the guard witnessed an argument between a man and woman in a car.

The man then took an object from the boot and threw it into the bin.

Police are tracking down the couple, based on the car’s registration.

The baby is now under the care of a local hospital.

Whoever did this, deserved to be punished severly... a baby could not understand anything.

Even if you are in the height of anger, please leave the baby alone...

Tips to survive recession - From a Professor of Economics

Recently i received an email from a friend - a Professor in the School of Economics of a local institution of higher learning..

He said this is something to ponder and followup where appropriate.

Now that Recession is coming .... make your own judgment, don't panic !! Do what is wise.

The recession looks very eminent.

It is really time to take pro activesteps to avoid a painful time in the next two years which is how long the recession is expected to last.

Suggestions:

1. Don't take any loans, buy homes, properties with loans, or even cash. Keep as much cash as possible. (my say - and don't go to casinos.... hehehe)

2. Pay off as much of personal loans, private loans, as debt collection will be hastened.
(my say - yeaah right.... i hate repayment)

3. Sell any stocks you can even at lower prices.
(my say - can i sell off my girlfriend????)

4. Take money off from Trust Funds.
(my say - I dont trust Trust Funds!!!)

5. Don't believe in huge sales forecast from customers, be extremely prudent, lowest inventories, reduce liabilities.
(my say - especially those hypermarket that offers 90% discount all days, all months, they think we are gullible)

6. Don't invest in new capital.
(my say - except your girlfriend of course!!)

7. If you are selling homes/ properties/ cars , do it now, when you can get good prices, they are going to fall.
(my say - if they refuse to buy what you are selling, then throw them off a cliff!!! just kidding)

8. Don't invest in new business proposals.
(especially get rich quick scheme!!)

9. Cancel holiday plans using credit cards.
(Oh.... the Banks will hate this)

10. Don't change jobs, as companies will retrench based on 'last in first out'.
(Yeaa... be loyal to your boss, your company, if possible treat your boss for a kinky night outing)

11. Keep blogging (this is an additional point from me though!!!)

The Professor said if you took all of the above actions and more, you probably will be better off than many.

Bear Stearns is the first of many banking andfinancial institutions that will start falling in the not too future.

If Bear Stearns can fall, so can JP Morgan, Citibank, HSBC, and thewhole world.

US economy falls, the rest will crumble.

India and all those self-economies will be the most protected, but not gullible.

why men gets aroused when they see women's breasts??

Not a long time ago, a female friend of mine asked me this question – why do men become aroused when they see women’s nipples??

She was curious and naive…..

Well, I gave her 2 sets of answers.

The standard answer :-

Men have what is referred to as libido…or sexual drive that is due to the natural presence of male hormone or testosterone in their bodies.

Enough or stronger dose of Testosterone makes men easily aroused or stimulated visually..as opposed to women who are stimulated in more subtle and more complex ways.

So, nature designed males to become stimulated and ready for sex with any visual queue that a female was ready for fertilization.

One of the adaptations that human females made was to develop fatty tissue in their breasts so that they look like they are lactating all the time, a sign of fertility.

So it's not so much that men see a woman's nipples that turns them on, but that they see the shape of the female breast with the nipple that gives them the instinct to become aroused.


Females are the only ones that have developed this ability to mimic their capacity for fertility visually.

So, males have just been following along and changing with them in order to keep our species alive.

Then I gave my 2nd answer to that same question:
