“MASS RESIGNATION FROM PKR KINABATANGAN TO JOIN UBF’S BORNEO ALLIANCE” - 30 January 2011

Kinabatangan, Sabah, 30th January 2011.

At the largest ‘Borneo Tea Party’ event held so far for the leaders of United Borneo Front (UBF), villagers from various areas of the Kinabatangan region thronged a community centre in Kampung Entilibon 1 Tongod, a 5 hour drive into Borneo’s heartland from Kota Kinabalu, to receive a 4WD convoy of UBF supporters, preceded by 50 or more bikers clad in yellow t-shirts emblazoned with ‘United Borneo Front-Kinabatangan’.

The tea party, organised by UBF die-hards, Jalibin Paidi and James Aik, included a seminar presented by UBF leader Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan together with his advisers and co-founders, lawyer and activist Nilakrisna James and economist Zainal Ajamain.

The seminar focused upon the economic and land issues affecting the Kinabatangan region as well as the 5% oil share from PETRONAS recently raised by Dr. Jeffrey.

“We have no choice but to address the unfair economic policies and the laws which have silenced our voices of resentment and hindered our ability to be self-reliant. People are sick and tired of their poverty. There are smallholder farmers in the interior who have ventured into Palm Oil but feel cheated in the amounts they receive for their investment."

" The average price smallholders of Palm Oil receive for their Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) from privately owned Mills (some of which are listed companies and some of which are owned by local businessmen) is between RM700-RM800 per tonne. Smallholders would sell these FFB without realising that the biomass from FFB such as kernel, kernel cakes and empty fruit bunch are more profitable, selling in the international market for RM1,200—RM1,500 per tonne."

" The Mills extract crude palm oil from FFB and sell off the biomass as their own products. These by-products are important for fuel, especially for brick factories and animal feed. People are angry they are being short-changed by the Mills. The UBF therefore suggests that smallholders form their own cooperative to determine a better price from Mills or collect the biomass back from the Mills to sell internationally,” said Dr. Jeffrey in his statement.

Guests at the tea party also highlighted issues of compulsory land acquisitions and the necessity to find common ground to amalgamate Sabah and Sarawak people, regardless of race and religion, to push for equal representation in parliament which, in its current demographic, puts West Malaysian politicians in control of 75% of the seats so as to deny any voice of veto from Sabah and Sarawak.

“If they wish to continue to amend our Federal Constitution and erode our rights or pass unfair laws to our disadvantage, they have their 2/3 majority leaving us powerless in Sabah and Sarawak. This is a breach of our human rights and a breach of Article 8 of the 1963 Malaysia Agreement,” Dr. Jeffrey added.

At the conclusion of the seminar, supporters of UBF and Dr. Jeffrey’Kitingan's political followers tendered in a mass resignation from various Kinabatangan branches of the opposition party, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), pledging their support to UBF and a political vehicle they hope to see arising out of the first popular civil rights movement in Sabah.

A total of 16 heads of PKR branches in the Entilibon zone resigned which includes Kampung Linayukan, Kampung Sanan, Kampung Semundoh, Kampung Entilibon Asal, Kampung Simpang and Kampung Singgahmata.

11 members of the PKR committee for the Kinabatangan region also resigned including the Secretary, Jalibin Paidi, and the Information Chief, Cyril Parantis.

Around 875 members have apparently tendered their resignation to follow their leaders to pursue UBF’s Borneo Agenda, with more members expected to follow in the next few days. The exodus from the Kinabatangan region is seen as the clearest pledge of support for Dr. Jeffrey and his United Borneo Front.

Trans-sexual model stirs Brazil fashion show

Brazilian transsexual model Lea T. is as famous as his father - 1980s Brazilian footballer - Toninho Cerezo.



Toninho Cerezo won 57 caps playing for Brazil in international matches, between March 1977 and June 1985, scoring seven goals.

Cerezo was part of the Brazilian national side in 2 World Cups.

The 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina (won by Argentina defeating Holland 3-1 in the final) and the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain (won by Italy defeating West Germany 3-1 in the final).

However Toninho Cerezo's son (or rather daughter now!!), Lea T., stole the show on Sunday, 30th January 2011 at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week as critics applauded her presentation and paparazzi mobbed her entourage.

Lea T, received roaring applause as she took to the catwalk modeling a new collection by Alexandre Herchcovitch.

He or She ( i am confused) wore pale makeup and was accompanied by somber music as she helped present a collection of black, gray, beige and green gowns with long sleeves.


The paparazzi swarmed her entourage as she left the venue accompanied by friends, agents and bodyguards, with one photographer kicking one of her managers before she was spirited away.

The runway star (pictures below), who has also modeled for the French brand Givenchy, has become a fashion sensation following high-profile appearances on the European market in recent months, including a magazine cover in which she appears kissing British supermodel Kate Moss.

Malaysian restaurant owner mistaken for puppy abuser!!!

This guy, Tan Leong Seng, 40 (right) from Malaca, was mistaken as the puppy basher.

Tan Leong Seng, only knows how to cook and prepare mouth watering dishes for his customers.

Little did he know that he was being sought by angry Malaysians for bashing up a hapless little puppy and that video became an internet hit.

It was a case of mistaken identity but it has turned profitable for Tan Leong Seng.

He has been mistaken as the unidentified man abusing a poodle which caused an uproar among pet lovers after it was posted on the social networking site Facebook.

Tan, the owner of a restaurant in Melaka Raya, said that while he had been inconvenienced by calls from people asking whether he was behind the alleged abuse, his business experienced a sudden increase as curious people thronged his shop to catch a glimpse of him.

“At first, I was surprised by the surge of customers, but I was alerted by calls from my friends and relatives,” he said at his shop

“I am Internet illiterate and I don’t even have a Facebook account.

“So, I didn’t know about this issue until I read about it in the newspapers.”

He said he did not have any tattoo like the man in the video.

Meanwhile, Malacca Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals chairman Vincent Low said the society had lodged reports with local authorities including the local Veterinary Services Department and the Malacca City Council.

“We hope the authorities will be able to apprehend the culprit as soon as possible,” he told reporters at a press conference yesterday.

Meanwhile more Malaysian groups and animal lovers society have lodged reports urging police to track down and arrest the two people implicated in the dog abuse video.

They also want the police to immediately rescue the dog if it is still alive.

The report was lodged by Malaysian Animal Rights Society president N. Surendran, who also represented the Malaysian Animal Welfare Society, Independent Living & Training Centre and Lawyers for Liberty at the Dang Wangi police headquarters here yesterday.

Surendran said Bukit Aman should set up a task force jointly with the Veterinary Services Department to investigate and prosecute the two.

“The duo should be penalised because if they could do this to an animal, they could do it to anybody.

“The fact that they posed with the puppy showed they were confident no action would be taken against them,” he added.

Surendran also said the Veterinary Services Department was not doing enough to protect animals.

“If no action is taken after lodging the report, we will look for the two people involved, arrest them and hand them over to the police,” he added.

He described the acts caught on the video as one of the worst cases of animal abuse he had ever seen.

The groups also called on the Government to amend the law to provide better protection for pets from being abused.

In the video, a man is seen using brute force on a poodle in an attempt to force the dog to stand on its hind legs.

Coal Plant issue : Sabah Government Must Decide : Green SURF

The war has been on going for the past years.

It is between the Sabah state government and a coalition of non-governmental organisations calling themselves Green Surf.

The topic : Should we or shouldn't we build a coal-powered electrical plant in Tungku, Lahad Datu, east coast of Sabah to improve the electricity supply in Sabah.

The plan to build the more than 1 billion ringgit 300 Megawatt coal-plant in Tungku, has received tremendous and strong objections by Green Surf who fires salvo after salvo of artilleries, to stop that project.

KOTA KINABALU (25th October 2010): A coalition of non-governmental organisations here wants the Government to take a stand on the status of a proposed coal-fired power plant in Lahad Datu.

The request from Green SURF (Sabah Unite to Re-Power the Future) comes two months after the federal Department of Environment (DOE) rejected the Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment report for the 300 megawatt project.

Green SURF’s Mr Wong Tack said the coalition was still waiting for a decision on whether the project will continue.

“We would like to know the stand of the authorities, in particular the Sabah Government. Green SURF wrote to the Sabah Government over three weeks ago, but we have yet to get feedback.

“We hope the State Government will take a stand based on the importance of the east coast of Sabah as a marine habitat. A huge amount is now being invested for activities in these areas, including through the national Budget for 2011,” he said in a statement issued by Green SURF.

Wong said there was too much anxiety at present over the proposed plant, especially among members of the public who have been in touch with the coalition.

“The public is asking for the State to focus on developing energy from renewable and green sources,” Wong said.

He said the power shortage problem in Sabah was still serious, and that too much time has been wasted on plans for a controversial coal plant, which has seen proposed sites shifting three times.

Wong said a recent speech made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on the need to make a transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy as a way to create a firm foundation for a greener economy was in line with calls made by Green SURF.

Wong said the Renewable Energy Policy and Action Plan, and a dedicated statutory body called the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA Malaysia), must swing into work quickly.

He said the construction of a 300 megawatt Combined-Cycle Gas Power Plant in Kimanis as announced in the recent Budget must be expedited to increase electricity generation to meet rising demand.

The Budget also listed pioneer status and investment tax allowance for the generation of electricity from renewable sources and energy efficiency activities to be extended until Dec 31, 2015 and the implementation of a feed in tariff mechanism under the Renewable Energy Act to allow electricity generated by individuals and independent providers to be sold to electricity utility companies.

“This is not the time to just talk, but to do something. We are glad that better feed in tariffs are being considered for implementation. Such initiatives are needed for investors to take up renewable energy projects.

“The Government has to make it attractive for the private sector to play a role in developing green energy,” Wong said.

Green SURF comprises the Sabah Environmental Protection Association (SEPA) of which Wong is president, Land Empowerment Animals People (LEAP), WWF-Malaysia, Partners of Community Organisations (PACOS) and the Malaysian Nature Society (Sabah branch).

Google announces opening of new Malaysia office, but this news came along!!!

ON Wednesday 26th January 2011, Search engine Google said in Kuala Lumpur that it will open a Malaysian office, its second in Southeast Asia, following significant growth in Internet usage in the country.

The Google function was officiated by Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Datuk Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, at around 10 am.

At around the same time and on the same date, some 2,000 kilometres away across the South China Sea, Google was instead sued for defamation by a popular Indian cuisine restaurant in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

The Indian restaurant is also suing a blogger.

Jothy's Fish Head Curry restaurant director Tharumaraj Sivaperumal filed a 6 million Ringgit Malaysia (which is peanuts compared to Google's USD30 billion annual profits) civil suit at the Kota Kinabalu High Court on Monday, 26th January 2011.

The civil suit names blogger Poh Huai Bin as first defendant and California-based Google Inc as second defendant.

The suit is arising from some allegedly defamatory statements about Jothy's Fish Head Curry restaurant posted in May last year by Poh, originally from Sibu in Sarawak and now residing in Kuala Lumpur.

Jothy's, represented by counsel Marcel Jude Joseph, is seeking exemplary or punitive damages to deter them from making similar statements in future and an order to restrain Poh from defaming the restaurant on the Internet.

Jothy's is also seeking an order from the court to remove the offending articles from Google and other popular search engines used on the Internet.




The company claimed that the alleged defamatory statements published by both the defendants tended to prejudice against the plaintiff in the conduct of its business and deter others from dealing with it and were injurious to the business.

As a result of the defendants' action, the plaintiff claimed it had suffered loss and damage, and its reputation had been affected both locally and internationally.

The plaintiff claimed that the good reputation of the restaurant, in operation since 1987, was known globally and reported as a well-known destination in Kota Kinabalu and Sabah, in the global television and book series Lonely Planet, referred to as an authority for tourists throughout the world.

The plaintiff also claimed that the posting and articles of the first defendant were available and read by Internet users throughout Sabah and Malaysia, adding that the second defendant conducted business within the jurisdiction of Malaysian courts because its search engine was used regularly by Internet users in the country.

Google opens Malaysia office, 26th January, 2011

This is good news for Malaysian internet geeks and avid online users.

Search engine Google said on Wednesday, 26th January, 2011 that it will open a Malaysian office, its second in Southeast Asia, following significant growth in Internet usage in the country.

Google Southeast Asia chief Julian Persaud said Malaysia has one of the "highest percentages of usage of Google's Web browser, Chrome, in Asia Pacific" together with 17 million Internet users from a population of 27 million.

"The online environment in Malaysia is growing rapidly, with significant developments in both broadband Internet access and e-commerce activities," he told reporters.

"We are pleased to establish our newest operations in Kuala Lumpur, where we can draw from the highest quality local talent to further help users find the information they're looking for," he added.

Persaud said Google was targeting small and medium enterprises in Malaysia with its "search and display" services, aimed at helping them reach new markets.

He said the Malaysian operations, set up four years after the creation of Google's first Southeast Asian office in Singapore, would customise products such as Google Maps, Google News and Google Translate for the local market.

Google said it will hire a record number of people this year, taking on more than 6,000 workers worldwide.

Persaud also said the return of co-founder Larry Page to the company's helm in April would not affect operations in the region.

"I don't see it as much of a change as the current CEO will still be in the company... It's business as usual," he said.

Last week, in a surprise shakeup of its top management, the California-based company announced that Eric Schmidt, its chief executive over the past decade, would step aside in April and be replaced by Page.

Despite revenues of nearly USD$30 billion last year, Google is under pressure from new rivals such as Facebook and Twitter for the attention of Web surfers, advertising dollars and engineering talent.

Phillipinnes - the most dangerous country for Journalists

The Philippines is by far the most dangerous country for journalists, apart from Iraq.

The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines said 142 journalists in Philippines were killed since the restoration of democracy in 1986 after then President Ferdinand Marcos was ousted by the people power led by former Philippines President, Corazon Aquino.

The world's worst mass killing of journalists happened in the Philippines on the morning of November 23, 2009 in the town of Ampatuan in Maguindanao province, on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines in the infamous Maguindanao massacre.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has called the Maguindanao massacre on as the single deadliest event for journalists in the history of the world.

At least 34 journalists are known to have died on that fateful morning, abducted and killed by 100 armed men, contracted to kill by the super-evil family of Andal Ampatuan who maybe is a devil worshipper.

This figure is worse than during Pol Pot Khmer Rouge regime, Adolf Hitler's reign of terror, and worse than what the Mexican and Colombian drug cartels can do.

Those poor journalists were among 58 people killed, on their way to file a certificate of candidacy for Esmael Mangudadatu, vice mayor of Buluan town, for the gubernatorial election.

For some unknown reasons, the Phillippines Police and Armed Forces, refused to escort and protect the convoy, despite being requested - a stupid decision that led to the worst atrocities commited against media practitioners and mankind in the 21st Century.

Esmael Mangudadatu, the guy whose very own political ambition led to this mass murders, also did not take part in the convoy for he knew that death will greet him on arrival at the gate of hell, instead of a nomination form.

The stupid Esmael stupidly let other innocent people including journalists, to die for his own stupid political greed and clamouring!!!!!




A video tribute to the UNTV journalists who were among the 57 murdered in the worst election-related massacre in the Philippines in the Ampatuan town of Maguindanao province on .

Now, another journalist was killed in Puerto Princessa in Palawan, Southern Phillippines on Monday 24th January 2011 by hitmen or contract killers who are willing to kill anyone for a mere 150,000 pesos, considering that a 3rd of Philippines population lives on less than 45 pesos a day.

For those cold blodded murderers, lives mean nothing to them. Just pay them 150,000 pesos and they will blow up anyone head and kill anyone you wish, including those who stole your girl friend.

Gerardo Ortega, 47, a radio journalist was shot in the head while shopping in a clothing store in Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan island, on Monday morning, 24th January 2011, shortly after he finished his daily broadcast.

The gunman, Marlon de Camata, was detained while trying to escape the scene, police said.

The identities of the men who approached De Camata as well as their supposed "boss" were still being verified and could not be publicly released due to the sensitivity of the investigation, Amurao said.

However, he said police suspected Ortega's efforts to expose illegal mining led to his death.

"We are looking at that as a possible motive. Ortega's hard-hitting commentaries were targeted against mining companies he had accused of destroying Palawan's environment," Amurao said.

He described Ortega as a staunch environmentalist who regularly went to church and was well-liked on the island.

Puerto Princesa mayor Edward Hagedorn said that the murder weapon was positively traced to a lawyer formerly employed by an ex-governor who Ortega had repeatedly criticised as corrupt.

Hagedorn said Ortega was clearly killed because of his anti-corruption and pro-environment crusade.

Malaysian politician's 'no handshake' stirs row

For politicians, shaking hands and mingling with people is very normal.

However in Malaysia, a female politician has caused a stir by declining to shake hands with her male supporters.



Normala Sudirman, 38, the politician in question is shown above in this promotional video of her candidacy.

She did this while campaigning in a tight by-election in Johor, triggering debate across Malaysia's racial and religious divide.



Normala Sudirman (second left pic above) , a rising star within the conservative Islamic party (PAS) which belongs to the opposition alliance, said her faith prohibits close contact between unrelated men and women.

Normala, a former teacher and the Labis PAS women's chief, faces Mohd Azahar Ibrahim, 39 of the Barisan Nasional, BN coalition in the January 30th, 2011 by-election.

The battle in Tenang between BN and PAS was brought about by the death of the BN assemblyman Datuk Sulaiman Taha on Dec 17, 2010.

This is the 14th by-elections in Malaysia sinc the March 2008 General Elections and the first this year in 2011.

After the Tenang by-election, Malaysia is expected to see 2 more by-elections following the death of the Merlimau Assemblyman in Malacca state and possibly another byelection in the state of Selangor constituency of Pelabuhan Klang.

Now back to the Normala non-shaking hands issue.

She said "We (Muslim women) do not even shake hands with Muslim men,", defending her stance against allegations that it was a sign of the rising 'Islamisation' of the multicultural state.

Malaysia, a predominantly Muslim country, is ruled by a coalition of race-based parties including the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), whose leader Chua Soi Lek stoked the controversy by criticising Normala.

"We respect her choice, and likewise she should also understand why the people are baffled by her actions," Chua was quoted as saying by the Star newspaper.

Malaysia's ethnic Chinese and Indian minorities, who follow Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism among other religions, complain their rights are being trampled by the imposition of Muslim values on their way of life.

Chua, an outspoken figure who was forced to resign as health minister in 2007 after being caught in a videotape sex scandal, said that as a non-Muslim he would be seen as arrogant if he refused to shake hands with certain people.

As the furore unfolded on news portals and across the blogosphere, Normala -- who wears a traditional "tudung" headscarf and flowing outfit -- softened her position by donning gloves to shake hands on the campaign trail.

But the controversy raged on, prompting Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, from the UMNO party which leads the coalition and represents majority Malays, to rebuke Chua.

"We leave it to the voters to decide. We will not exploit her personal stand as it is her choice," he was quoted as saying by the Star newspaper.

The debate has dominated the lead-up to Sunday's by-election for a seat in the assembly of southern Johor state.

Observant Muslims in Malaysia, both men and woman, sometimes prefer not to shake hands with an unrelated person of the opposite gender, but working politicians generally take a more relaxed view.

James Chin, a political scientist at Monash University's Malaysian campus, said the Johor constituency has a large number of elderly ethnic Chinese and Indian voters who would consider Normala's policy extreme.

The controversy "will reinforce their fear of growing Islamisation in Malaysia," he said, tipping a win for the ruling coalition in the poll.

Malahan selepas episod wanita itu naik pentas, aktres genit bertubuh kecil, Sharifah Amani turut memperagakan aset tubuh badannya dengan memakai baju seksi ketika naik pentas untuk menerima hadiah pelakon wanita terbaik filem "Muallaf" di malam Anugerah Skrin 2010 itu.
