Michael Jackson - the dramatic call to 911
THE desperate battle to revive Michael Jackson after his heart attack
revealed in a dramatic transcript of the 911 call.
But judging from the call, the person, in this case Dr Murray who administered CPR to Michael Jackson, apparently did it the wrong way!!
He did it while MJ was still on bed.
He should have done it on a hard surface (on the floor).
In the emergency call, a man is heard telling the operator that a 50-year-old man is not breathing and "needs help".
The caller becomes ever more frantic as the conversation continues and
says Jacko is "not responding to anything" - even as a doctor attempts
to resuscitate him.
This is the full transcript of the call - and you
can listen to it:
Caller: Yes sir I need to, I need an ambulance as soon as possible sir.
Operator: OK sir, what is your address?
Caller: Los Angeles, California. 90077.
Operator: Is it Carolwood?
Caller: Carolwood Drive, yes.
Caller: Yes, he's not breathing sir.
Operator: Ok. And he's not conscious either?
Caller: He's not conscious sir.
Operator: OK, all right. Do you have him, is he on the floor? Where is he at right now?
Caller: He's on the bed sir, he's on the bed.
Operator: OK, let's get him on the floor.
Caller: OK.
Well, that indicates that MJ was on bed when the CPR was done on him.
Operator: OK, let's get him down to the floor. May I help you with CPR right now, OK?
Caller: We need, to get, we need...
Operator: OK, we're already on our way there. We're on our way. I'm going to do as much as I can to help you over the phone. We're already on our way. Did anybody see him?
Caller: Yes, we have a personal doctor here with him, sir.
Operator: Oh, you have a doctor there?
Caller: Yeah, but he's not responding to anything, to no, no, he's not responding to the CPR or anything.
Operator: Oh, OK. We're on our way there. If your guys are doing CPR as instructed by a doctor, he has a higher authority than me, and he's there on the scene. Did anybody witness what happened?
Caller: No, just the doctor sir. The doctor's been the only one here.
Operator: OK, so did the doctor see what happened?
Caller: (Speaking to doctor) Doctor, did you see what happened sir? (Speaking to operator) Sorry, you just, if you can please...
Operator: We're on our way, we're on our way. I was, I'm just passing these questions on to our paramedics, but they're on their way there, sir.
Caller: Thank you sir. He's pumping, he's pumping the chest, he's not responding to anything sir. Please...
Operator: OK, OK, we're on our way. We're, we're less than a mile away, we'll be there shortly.
Caller: Thank you sir, thank you.
Operator: OK sir. Call us back if you need any help. Thank you. Goodbye.
Caller: Yes sir.
This is what supersonic looks like..
The breaking of the sound barrier is not just an audible phenomenon. As a new picture from the U.S. military shows, Mach 1 can be quite visual.
This widely circulated new photo shows a Air Force F-22 Raptor aircraft participating in an exercise in the Gulf of Alaska June 22, 2009 as it executes a supersonic flyby over the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis.
The visual phenomenon, which sometimes but not always accompanies the breaking of the sound barrier, has also been seen with nuclear blasts and just after space shuttles launches, too. A vapor cone was photographed as the Apollo 11 moon-landing mission rocketed skyward in 1969.
Mach 1 refers to a speed of 1,225 kilometres per hour!!! or 761 miles per hour!!!
The phenomenon is not well studied. Scientists refer to it as a vapor cone, shock collar, or shock egg, and it's thought to be created by what's called a Prandtl-Glauert singularity.
Here's what scientists think happens:
A layer of water droplets gets trapped between two high-pressure surfaces of air. In humid conditions, condensation can gather in the trough between two crests of the sound waves produced by the jet. This effect does not necessarily coincide with the breaking of the sound barrier, although it can. To learn more, click here.
The aircraft carrier was participating in Northern Edge 2009, an exercise focused on detecting and tracking things at sea, in the air and on land.

Well, it was not the first time, such scientific supersonic phenomenon was captured on film.
Here an F/A-18 Hornet jetfighter was captured travelling at transonic speed and displaying the Prandtl–Glauert singularity just before reaching the speed of sound.
Can Superman fly faster than that??? Yes. In one Superman movie, Superman was seen travelling the whole orbit of earth in less than one second!!!
AP Exclusive: Insomniac Michael Jackson begged for drug
What really killed Michael Jackson??
The international media is racing against each other to find the answers.
The first media organisation to report exclusively on this aspect will get the "Scoop", thus higher readership and viewers.
The Associated Press, AP is ahead of other giant press agencies such as AFP (agencee French Presee), Reuters, CNN, BBC, ABC, NBC etc when they reported today about the possible cause of MJ's death.
AP reported that prior to his death, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson was suffering from acute insomnia (sleep deprivation)that he wanted to get rid of with whatever means, which ultimately led to his death.
Based on an EXCLUSIVE interview with Cherilyn Lee, a nurse who specialises in nutritional counseling, AP reported that she repeatedly rejected MJ request for Diprivan, a drug functioning as a powerful sedative, to make people sleep.
Here is the exclusive story by AP :
Michael Jackson was so distraught over persistent insomnia in recent months that he pleaded for a powerful sedative despite warnings it could be harmful, says a nutritionist who was working with the singer as he prepared his comeback bid.
Cherilyn Lee, a registered nurse whose specialty includes nutritional counseling, said Tuesday that she repeatedly rejected his demands for the drug, Diprivan, which is given intravenously..
But a frantic phone call she received from Jackson four days before his death made her fear that he somehow obtained Diprivan or another drug to induce sleep, Lee said..
While in Florida on June 21, Lee was contacted by a member of Jackson's staff..
"He called and was very frantic and said, `Michael needs to see you right away.' I said, 'What's wrong?' And I could hear Michael in the background ..., 'One side of my body is hot, it's hot, and one side of my body is cold. It's very cold,'" Lee said..
"I said, `Tell him he needs to go the hospital. I don't know what's going on, but he needs to go to the hospital ... right away.".
"At that point, I knew that somebody had given him something that hit the central nervous system," she said, adding, "He was in trouble Sunday and he was crying out.".
Jackson did not go to the hospital. He died June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest, his family said. Autopsies have been conducted, but an official cause of death is not expected for several weeks..
"I don't know what happened there. The only thing I can say is he was adamant about this drug," Lee said..
Following Jackson's death, allegations emerged that the 50-year-old King of Pop had been consuming painkillers, sedatives and antidepressants. But Lee said she encountered a man tortured by sleep deprivation and one who expressed opposition to recreational drug use..
"He wasn't looking to get high or feel good and sedated from drugs," she said. "This was a person who was not on drugs. This was a person who was seeking help, desperately, to get some sleep, to get some rest.".
Jackson was rehearsing hard for what would have been his big comeback — his "This Is It" tour, a series of performances that would have strained his aging dancer's body. Also, pain had been a part of his life since 1984, when his scalp was severely burned during a Pepsi commercial shoot.
Several months ago, Jackson had begun badgering Lee about Diprivan, also known as Propofol, Lee said. It is an intravenous anesthetic drug widely used in operating rooms to induce unconsciousness. It is generally given through an IV needle in the hand..
Patients given Propofol take less time to regain consciousness than those administered certain other drugs, and they report waking up more clear-headed and refreshed, said University of Chicago psychopharmacologist James Zacny..
It has also been implicated in drug abuse, with people using it to "chill out" or to commit suicide, Zacny said. Accidental deaths linked to abuse have been reported. The powerful drug has a very narrow therapeutic window, meaning it doesn't take doses much larger than the medically recommended amount to stop a person's breathing..
An overdose that stops breathing can result in a buildup of carbon dioxide, causing the heart to beat erratically and leading to cardiac arrest, said Dr. John Dombrowski, a member of the board of directors of the American Society of Anesthesiologists..
Because it is given intravenously and is not the kind of prescription drug typically available from pharmacists, abuse cases have involved anesthesiologists, nurses and other hospital staffers with easy access to the drug, Zacny said..
In recent months, Lee said, Jackson waved away her warnings about it..
"I had an IV and when it hit my vein, I was sleeping. That's what I want," Lee said Jackson told her..
"I said, 'Michael, the only problem with you taking this medication' — and I had a chill in my body and tears in my eyes three months ago — 'the only problem is you're going to take it and you're not going to wake up," she recalled..
According to Lee, Jackson said it had been given to him before but he didn't want to discuss the circumstances or identify the doctor involved..
Londell McMillan, attorney for Katherine and Joe Jackson, talked about Lee's disclosures Tuesday on CNN..
"It's a hearsay comment. It would be inadmissible anywhere in a court of law," he said. "I also wonder why anyone would make a comment about something that they don't have much knowledge about. They didn't see the drug administered. It's again because of the Michael Jackson factor
Lee said he singer drew his own distinctions when it came to drugs versus prescription medicine..
"He said, `I don't like drugs. I don't want any drugs. My doctor told me this is a safe medicine,'" Lee said. The next day, she said she brought a copy of the Physician's Desk Reference to show him the section on Diprivan..
"He said, 'No, my doctor said it's safe. It works quick and it's safe as long as somebody's here to monitor me and wake me up. It's going be OK,'" Lee said. She said he did not give the doctor's name..
Lee said at one point, she spent the night with Jackson to monitor him while he slept. She said she gave him herbal remedies and stayed in a corner chair in his vast bedroom..
After he settled in bed, Lee told Jackson to turn down the lights and music — he had classical music playing in the house. "He also had a computer on the bed because he loved Walt Disney," she said. "He was watching Donald Duck and it was ongoing. I said, `Maybe if we put on softer music,' and he said, `No, this is how I go to sleep.'".
Three and a half hours later, Jackson jumped up and looked at Lee, eyes wide open, according to Lee. "This is what happens to me," she quoted him as saying. "All I want is to be able to sleep. I want to be able to sleep eight hours. I know I'll feel better the next day.".
Lee, 56, is licensed as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner in California, according to the state Board of Registered Nursing's Web site. She attended Los Angeles Southwest College and the Charles Drew University of Medicine and Sciences in Los Angeles.

Bernard Madoff gets maximum 150 years jail sentence!!!
Bernard Madoff will only be released from prison when he is 221 years old!!!
A federal judge in New York, today rejected Bernard Madoff's plea for leniency, sentencing the 71-year-old swindler to spend the rest of his life in prison for an "extraordinarily evil" fraud that took a staggering toll on thousands of victims.
U.S. District Judge Denny Chin cited the unprecedented nature of the multibillion-dollar fraud as he sentenced Madoff to the maximum of 150 years in prison, a term comparable only to those given in the past to terrorists, traitors and the most violent criminals.
There is no parole in federal prison so Madoff will most likely die there.
However, Madoff's sentence was not the longest for a white-collar criminal. New York businessman Sholam Weiss, 55, was sentenced in February 2000 to 845 years in prison for his role in a plot that skimmed $400 million from an insurance company, costing many of its 25,000 customers their life savings. The government lists his release date as Nov. 23, 2754... at the age of 809 years!!!!
And Norman Schmidt, 73, was sentenced in Denver last year to 330 years in prison for his role in a multimillion-dollar investment scam. He's scheduled for release in September 2291... by then Schimdt will be 355 years old!!!!
"Here, the message must be sent that Mr. Madoff's crimes were extraordinarily evil and that this kind of irresponsible manipulation of the system is not merely a bloodless financial crime that takes place just on paper, but it is instead ... one that takes a staggering human toll," US District Judge, Denny Chin said in sentencing Madoff.
Prosecutor Lisa Baroni said Madoff deserved a life sentence because he "stole ruthlessly and without remorse."
"He stole from the rich. He stole from the poor. He stole from the in between. He had no values," said Tom Fitzmaurice. "He cheated his victims out of their money so he and his wife, Ruth, could live a life of luxury beyond belief."
Dominic Ambrosino called it an "indescribably heinous crime" and urged a long prison sentence so he "will know he is imprisoned in much the same way he imprisoned us and others."
The massive Ponzi scheme run by Madoff since at least the early 1990s demolished the life savings of thousands of people, wrecked charities and shook confidence in the U.S. financial system.
The actual loss so far has been put at $13.2 billion. But the judge said that was a conservative estimate and noted that even Madoff told his sons in December it was a $50 billion fraud.
The sentence reflected a growing tendency over the last decade to give white-collar criminals lengthy prison terms — although a handful of cases have received even longer terms. The outcome prompted scattered applause and whoops from a group of burned former clients in a packed Manhattan courtroom.
The judge noted that not one of the more than 100 letters he received supported Madoff or described any good deeds he had done.
"The absence of such support is telling," Chin said.
Chin announced the sentence with Madoff standing at the defense table, wearing a dark suit, a white shirt and a tie and looking thinner than he did at his last court appearance in March. He gave no noticeable reaction when the sentence was announced.
When asked by the judge whether he had anything to say, Madoff slowly stood, leaned forward on the defense table and spoke in a monotone for about 10 minutes. At various times, he referred to his monumental fraud as a "problem," "an error of judgment" and "a tragic mistake."
He claimed he and his wife were tormented, saying she "cries herself to sleep every night, knowing all the pain and suffering I have caused," he said. "That's something I live with, as well."
He then finally looked at the victims lining the first row of the gallery.
"I will turn and face you," he said mechanically. "I'm sorry. I know that doesn't help you."
Madoff's wife, Ruth Madoff — often a target of victims' scorn since her husband's arrest — broke her silence afterward by issuing a statement through her lawyer. She said she, too, had been misled.
"I am embarrassed and ashamed," she said. "Like everyone else, I feel betrayed and confused. The man who committed this horrible fraud is not the man whom I have known for all these years."
Madoff, who has been jailed since March, already has taken a severe financial hit: Last week, a judge issued a preliminary $171 billion forfeiture order stripping Madoff of all his personal property, including real estate, investments, and $80 million in assets his wife Ruth had claimed were hers. The order left her with $2.5 million that couldn't be tied to the fraud.
The terms require the Madoffs to sell a $7 million Manhattan apartment where Ruth Madoff still lives. An $11 million estate in Palm Beach, Fla., a $4 million home in Montauk and a $2.2 million boat will be put on the market as well.
Before Madoff became a symbol of Wall Street greed, he earned a reputation as a trusted money manager with a Midas touch. Even as the market fluctuated, clients of his secretive investment advisory business — from Florida retirees to celebrities such as Steven Spielberg, actor Kevin Bacon and Hall of Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax — for decades enjoyed steady double-digit returns.
But late last year, Madoff made a dramatic confession: Authorities say he pulled his sons aside and told them it was "all just one big lie."
Madoff pleaded guilty in March to securities fraud and other charges, saying he was "deeply sorry and ashamed." He insisted that he acted alone, describing a separate wholesale stock-trading firm run by his sons and brother as honest and legitimate.

Daily sex best for good quality sperm!!
Good news for sexually active men out there!!
BBC published an article about the positive effects of making love every day!!!
The article said having sex every day improves sperm quality and could boost the chances of getting pregnant, quoting a research on 118 men in Australia.
But to me, the research should have been conducted on the King of Swaziland too, because His Majesty has more than 10 wives!!!
As well as Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner who sleeps with more than 10 Playmates every night and Spanish crooner Julio Iglesias who claimed to have slept with 1,000 women !!!
But still, the likes of Iglesias, the King of Swaziland and Hefner certainly cannot beat the legendary romancing skills of Don Juan and Cassanova!!!
Well the BBC article said that in a study of men with fertility problems, daily ejaculation for a week cut the amount of DNA damage seen in sperm samples.
Speaking at a fertility conference, the Australian researcher said general advice for couples had been to have sex every two or three days.
Early results from the trial had already shown promising results.
But 118 men have now been tested and the benefits for sperm have become clearer.
Dr David Greening, from Sydney IVF, told delegates at the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology meeting that eight in ten men taking part showed a 12% drop in sperm DNA damage after the seven days.
Although there was a big drop in sperm numbers from 180 million to 70 million over the week, men were still within the normal "fertile" range.
Sperm also became more active over the seven days with a small rise in motility, he added.
The theory is the longer sperm hang around in the testes the more likely they are to accumulate DNA damage and the warm environment could also make them more sluggish after a while.
Sperm come under attack by free radicals - small reactive molecules which can damage DNA and cause cell death - in the tube that stores and carries sperm away from the testes.
Further work is needed to work out if daily sex for men without fertility problems has the same benefits but Dr Greening believes it is likely to be the case.
He warns that having daily sex for too long - say a fortnight - would probably cut sperm numbers too much.
But recommended "lots of sex daily" around the time the woman is ovulating.
He said it was best to "keep the river flowing".
As men age they may not have as much sex as they did when they were younger, adding to the problem of infertility, Dr Greening told delegates.
"We are designed to breed in our youth.
"Perhaps we have been blaming the women as couples get older but perhaps there's a contribution from the male because we're not behaving as we should be."
The findings may also have implications for couples undergoing IVF as men are commonly told to abstain from sex for a couple of days to try and boost sperm numbers.
Having sex every day improves sperm quality and could boost the chances of getting pregnant, research suggests.
In a study of men with fertility problems, daily ejaculation for a week cut the amount of DNA damage seen in sperm samples.
Speaking at a fertility conference, the Australian researcher said general advice for couples had been to have sex every two or three days.
Early results from the trial had already shown promising results.
Dr Alan Pacey, a fertility expert at the University of Sheffield, said the finding that daily ejaculation improved the chances of conception was interesting, but it would be wrong to apply the results to all men.
"For example, in cases where men have low sperm counts to start with, daily ejaculations may well reduce the sperm count still further and whilst sperm may be more healthy the reduced numbers could impede the chance of natural conception.
"The best general advice is that if couples are attempting to conceive naturally, intercourse every couple of days will make sure the sperm are as healthy as possible on each occasion.

Can a comatese patient be revived??
It was reported that prior to his death, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson fell into a coma upon arrival at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Hospital in Los Angeles.
Well, the question is, can a comatose patient be revived??
According to a few articles below, the answer is YES.
Among the methods being used are electrotheraphy, herbs and spirituals!!
But for me, everything has to do with divine intervention (God's miraculous act)
Article 1 - dated November 27, 1997, reported by Xinhua news agency
Doctors in Nanjing, east China's Jiangsu Province, have revived a comatose patient following 30 days of electrotherapy.
The course of therapy marks the first time Chinese doctors have successfully used electrotherapy to revive a comatose patient.
Several months ago, Zhu Lixing, 36, lapsed into a coma resulting from an intracerebral hematoma. Zhu remained in a comatose state following removal of the hematoma, according to today's Guangming Daily. Doctors at the China Brain Revivification Center, affiliated with the Nanjing Marine Medical School, conducted high-level consultations and decided to treat Zhu ...
Article 2 - reported by the internet journal of the third world medicine, happened in Indonesia, sometime in 2001.
Daisy (not real name), then a 21-year-old female, presented with vomiting and headaches. A CT scan indicated obstructive hydrocephalus. Her condition returned to normalcy after the installation of V-P shunts. Barely one and a half years later Daisy suffered a relapse. Subsequent imaging indicated tumors in the brain and this was diagnosed as pineoblastoma.
Daisy was in a coma and had to be warded in the intensive care unit of the hospital. Medically she was written off. Doctors told her parents to find whatever "cures" they thought would help Daisy.
A stranger told her parents about CA Care herbs. Two weeks after taking the herbs, Daisy emerged from coma and was discharged from the hospital. She suffered total memory loss and had to learn how to read and do the basic household chores all over again.
Daisy remained well for more than 5 years. She only took herbs. In June 2006, Daisy suffered pain in her eyes and had blurred and multiple visions. Her problems were resolved after taking more herbs.
The 3rd article was posted on the Church of Scientology of Dallas, sometimes in 2008.
It read as follows:
When Scientologist Lorraine Baritz of Boston was called to the hospital by friends whose 13-year-old son was in a coma and on life-support four days after a severe motorcycle accident, she knew exactly what she had to do to help.
The doctors had done all they could and the boy’s anxious parents could only wait, wondering if he would ever wake up.
But Lorraine, a Scientology Volunteer Minister, knew the boy needed not just medical help, but spiritual aid—and she went into action. At 10 p.m. she administered the first of several Scientology procedures called simply “assists.” By midnight, the boy was resting more easily. By morning, he opened his eyes, awakening from his coma and began to breathe without life support. Two days later, he left intensive care.
News of the recovery traveled through the hospital, reaching others standing vigil by their own children. A couple with an infant son in a coma asked for help. Again Lorraine answered the call.
The outcome was reported in the local Boston People’s Voice newspaper:
“When Church of Scientology volunteer minister Lorraine Baritz used her spiritual training to revive a 13-year-old motorcycle accident victim from a coma in a Boston hospital recently, it was considered a miracle.
“When she revived a baby from a coma a few days later,” the article continued, “it was obvious that there is a workable way to save many lives.”
For Lorraine Baritz, success in helping people is routine. “I know something effective can be done about the pain and suffering in people’s lives,” she says. “As a Scientology Volunteer Minister, I know I have the ability to help anyone, no matter how hopeless the situation may seem.”

What to do in the event of a heart attack??
The recent death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, reportedly of a heart attack or cardiac arrest shows that it can happen to anyone.
It can happen to me, it can happen to you and it can happen to everybody, except maybe Bruce Lee, the Kung Fu legend who may had at least 3 hearts, for he was unbeaten in street fights against 30 opponents!!!!
Well, joke aside, here are some tips i found over the internet on what to do in the event of a heart attack before emergency services arrived.
According to netdoctor.co.uk. here are the tips based on the text by Dr Henrik Omark Petersen :
What should you do if someone has a heart attack?
If someone has a cardiac arrest or heart attack, there are only a few minutes to act before it is too late. It is vital to know what to do beforehand.
To perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and artificial respiration (mouth to mouth resuscitation) effectively, training and frequent practice on resuscitation dummies are essential.
First aid courses are offered all over the country at night schools or by voluntary organisations such as St John Ambulance or The Red Cross.
How can you tell if someone is having a heart attack?
If the person is unconscious:
are they breathing? Look at the patient's chest to see if it is rising and falling.
do they have a pulse? Place two fingers on one or other side of the person's voice box in their throat to feel if they have a carotid pulse.
If the patient has a pulse but is not breathing:
could it be because of suffocation?
Feel inside the mouth with a finger to see if there is anything blocking it or the windpipe and remove any food or other objects. Provided that dentures are not broken, it is better not to remove them.
call for help immediately, stating that the casualty is not breathing, and provide resuscitation (see below) until the patient begins to breathe or the ambulance arrives.
If there is no breathing or pulse, the patient has had a cardiac arrest.
What help is needed?
If possible, raise the legs up 12 to 18 inches to allow more blood to flow towards the heart
Immediately place the palm of your hand flat on the patient's chest just over the lower part of the sternum (breast bone) and press your hand in a pumping motion once or twice by using the other hand. This may make the heart beat again.
If these actions do not restore a pulse or if the subject doesn't begin to breathe again:
call for help, stating that the casualty is having a cardiac arrest but stay with the patient.
find out if any one else present knows CPR.
provide artificial respiration immediately (see below).
begin CPR immediately (see below).
How to give artificial respiration followed by how to do CPR
Tilt the head back and lift up the chin.
Pinch the nostrils shut with two fingers to prevent leakage of air.
Take a deep breath and seal your own mouth over the person's mouth.
Breathe slowly into the person's mouth - it should take about two seconds to adequately inflate the chest.
Do this twice.
Check to see if the chest rises as you breathe into the patient.
If it does, enough air is being blown in.
If there is resistance, try to hold the head back further and lift the chin again.
Repeat this procedure until help arrives or the person starts breathing again
How do I perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)?
See if there is breathing. If not, start artificial respiration as described above. Checking for a pulse in the neck (carotid artery) may waste valuable time if the rescuer is inexperienced in this check. The procedure is:
place your fingers in the groove between the windpipe and the muscles of the side of the neck. Press backwards here to check for a pulse.
If there is no pulse, or if you are unsure, then proceed without delay thus:
look at the person's chest and find the 'upside-down V' shaped notch that is made by the lower edge of the ribcage. Place your middle finger in this notch and then place your index finger beside it, resting on the breastbone.
Take the heel of your other hand and slide it down the breastbone until it is touching this index finger. The heel of your hand should now be positioned on the middle of the lower half of the breastbone.
Now place the heel of your other hand on top of the first. Keep your fingers off the chest, by locking them together. Your pressure should be applied through the heels of the hands only.
Keep your elbows straight, and bring your body weight over your hands to make it easier to press down.
Press down firmly and quickly to achieve a downwards movement of 4 to 5cm, then relax and repeat the compression.
Do this 15 times, then give artificial respiration twice, and continue this 15:2 procedure until help arrives.
Aim for a rate of compression of about 100 per minute. You can help your timing and counting by saying out loud 'one and two and three and four ...' etc.
Artificial respiration and CPR should both be performed at the same time.
If possible, get someone else to help - one person to perform artificial respiration and the other to perform CPR. (This is not easily done without prior practice and it is well worth attending sessions on CPR training to become familiar with the technique.)
The ratio of chest compressions to breaths is 15:2 for both one-person and two-person CPR.
Continue until the ambulance arrives or the patient gets a pulse and starts to breathe again.
If the pulse returns and breathing begins but the person remains unconscious, roll them gently onto their side into the recovery position. This way mucus or vomit can get out of the mouth and will not obstruct the patient's breathing. It also prevents the tongue from falling back and blocking the air passage.
Make sure the patient continues breathing and has a pulse until the ambulance arrives.
If you succeed in resuscitating the person who has been taken ill, he or she may be confused and alarmed by all the commotion. Keep the patient warm and calm by quietly, but clearly, telling them what has happened.
Again, it needs to be emphasised that the only way to provide proper first aid and resuscitation is through learning the technique, then regular practice and guidance.
But i wondred, if Michael Jackson had a heart related problems, why don't his personal doctor alerted him??? Why don't MJ's personal doctor bring him for a complete medical check up??
And why don't the 911 crews administer the "electric shock like procedure" as a last resort to resuscitate Michael Jackson after the artificial breathing and CPR failed??
It can happen to me, it can happen to you and it can happen to everybody, except maybe Bruce Lee, the Kung Fu legend who may had at least 3 hearts, for he was unbeaten in street fights against 30 opponents!!!!

European Union wants world aviation blacklist
So does it mean that some airlines, allow air unworthy aircrafts to fly and carry passengers??
Because after two major plane crashes in a spate of less than a month, The European Union, EU wants a full list of airlines around the world, deemed unsafe and not complying to standard flying safety procedures.
On the 1st of June 2009, Air France Airbus Flight 447 from Rio De Janeiro to Paris, crashed in the Atlantic Ocean, killing all 228 passengers and crews on board.
Today, June 30, 2009, another Airbus, operated by Yemeni Airlines and carrying 153 passengers and crews, including 3 babies, crashed into the Indian Ocean, off Comoros.
The recent incident has prompted the EU's transport chief to call for a worldwide blacklist of airlines deemed unsafe, as investigators probe the crash of the Yemeni airliner, BBC reported.
"My idea is to propose a world blacklist similar to that in the EU," Transport Commissioner Antonio Tajani told reporters.
"If we want to achieve better safety I'm convinced that we need to have a worldwide blacklist, the European blacklist works pretty well in Europe,".
"Otherwise it's going to be difficult to have an adequate level of safety." He said.
Yemenia Air is not on the EU's blacklist, which is updated regularly.
Mr Tajani said he would contact Yemenia to "see what happened and to verify the level of safety" of its operations in Europe.
A French minister said faults were found on the same plane during a check in 2007.
Following the accident overnight, a child has been rescued alive and some bodies have been found.
Reports say the plane was due in the Comoros capital Moroni at about 0230 (2230 GMT on Monday). Most of the passengers had travelled to Yemen's capital Sanaa from Paris or Marseille on a different aircraft.
The EU blacklists dozens of airlines from across the world - most of them from Africa and Asia - meaning they are banned from flying to the 27-nation bloc.
Mr Tajani, quoted by Reuters, said "the plane that crashed was not the plane that travelled in Europe, and that's why we want to control with Yemeni airlines which planes it is using, because the plane that flew in Europe was a good plane, the French did control it".
A Yemenia Airbus A330 flew the Paris-Marseille-Yemen leg of the journey. But in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, the passengers who were flying on to the Comoros boarded a second Yemenia plane, the A310 that crashed.
So does it mean that some airlines, allow air unworthy aircrafts to fly and carry passengers??
In November 2008 the European Commission reported on Yemenia's safety performance, saying the airline had been implementing a "corrective action plan in the area of maintenance and operational discipline in a sustainable manner, to avoid the recurrence of significant safety deficiencies".
Spot inspections of Yemenia planes, known as "ramp checks", had earlier revealed "serious non-compliances", the Commission said.
But it concluded that Yemenia had reacted "appropriately and in a timely manner" to resolve the shortcomings. So the Commission decided not to blacklist Yemenia.
The list includes all of Benin's carriers, airlines in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Kyrgyzstan and six based in Kazakhstan.
The list also includes One Two Go Airlines of Thailand and Motor Sich Airlines of Ukraine.
The European Commission says Angola and Indonesia have made improvements but it is maintaining a ban on all their airlines.

After the Airbus crash off Brazil, now it happend again
Barely a month after the crash of Air France Airbus A310 from Rio De Janeiro to Paris, claiming more than 200 lives, a crash involving the same type of aircraft was reported today in Comoros.
It was reported that a 5 year old child, miracously survived the crash.
Miracles do happen.
It was God who saved that child.

I noted that there are some similarites here.
Both the Brazil and Comoros incidents involved the same aircraft - an Airbus.
Both incidents were linked to bad weather, in this case strong winds.
Both aircrafts plunged into the sea.
The Air France Airbus A330 flight that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean, on 1st June 2009, claiming 228 lives, was flying from Rio De Janeiro to Paris.
The Yemeni Air Airbus A310 flight that crashed today, 30 June 2009 was on its way from Paris to the island nation of Comoros, via Marseille and Yemen.
The Airbus A310 aircrafts are older than the A330 version.
Both are made by Airbus of course.
Airbus is based in Toulouse, France.
God bless the passengers of both flight, the Air France Airbus A330 flight 447 from Rio De Janeiro to Paris and the Yemeni Air Airbus A310 flight to Comoros from Paris via Marseille and Yemen, today.
Meanwhile, air crash happened before in Comoros in 1996, and it was high profile, for the aircraft was hijacked and the crash was filmed on video by tourists.
On November 23, 1996, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961, was hijacked, fifteen minutes out from Addis Ababa to Nairobi, by three Ethiopians seeking political asylum.
The plane crashed in the Indian Ocean near Comoros after running out of fuel, killing 125 of the 175 passengers and crew on board. 50 people, including the pilot, Captain Leul Abate, survived the crash.
All the hijackers were presumed dead too.
The video of the hijacked, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961 piloted by Leul Abate, crashed landed in the Indian Ocean near Comoros. 125 passengers and crews died, but Abate survived.
Infact, Captain Leul Abate survived 3 aircraft hijackings in his career.
Each time, he survived, including the crash in Comoros.

Judge to cane robber
Rampant cases of robberies and other serious crimes in Malaysia may have prompted a judge to execute the sentences himself.
In a rare court ruling in Kuala Lumpur, a sales promoter who admitted to armed robbery was ordered to be caned 10 times in the court premises. And the judge himself will do the caning.
Sessions Court judge Zainal Abidin Kamarudin ordered Muhammad Syafiq Abd Wahab, 20, to be caned in the presence of his parents.
The judge said he would personally cane Muhammad Syafiq on July 15 using canes supplied by the court.
Zainal Abidin said 10 light canes (rotan) were to be used to carry out the sentence as provided for under the Criminal Procedure Code for youthful offenders.
He also ordered Muhammad Syafiq to carry out 200 hours of community service.
Turning to the parents, the judge told the father, pensioner Abd Wahab Jonit, 64, that the offence was rarely passed by court but urged him to accept it.
“I know it is not a nice feeling for a father to watch his son being caned but it has to be done by a judge,” he said.
Zainal Abidin then urged Muhammad Syafiq to seek forgiveness from his father.
The youth, though, merely stared at the judge.
Muhammad Syafiq admitted to robbing student Muhammad Fitri Muhammad Zamzuri, 16, of his identity card and cell phone while armed with a knife.
He committed the offence with another friend still at large near the football stadium in Cheras at 1.30am on Nov 16 last year.
According to the facts, two men on a motorcycle approached Fitri, who was with two friends and demanded they surrender their belongings to them.
Muhammad Syafiq, who was riding pillion, also asked if they had any drugs with them before slapping Fitri and kicking his friend on the face. He also pointed a knife at them.
Just then, four military and religious officers on an anti-vice operation came to the students’ aid and arrested Muhammad Syafiq.
Earlier, Zainal Abidin ticked off Muhammad Syafiq when he heard his confession, saying he had chosen bad friends.
Welfare officer Muhd Razmee Abdul Razak, who tendered a probation report for Muhammad Syafiq, recommended that the youth be given a community service sentence saying that 80% of those who went through such a sentence showed progress in their attitude.

Farrah Fawcett - You will always be remembred
Iconic 1976 poster of Farrah Fawcett. First published in Life magazine in 1976, it is the best-selling pin-up poster of all time, with more than 12 million copies sold.
25th of June 2009 will always be remembered in the entertainment industry. Because we lost not one, but two icons.
First, the unexpected death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson at approximately 2.26pm (US time).
5 hours earlier, we lost Farrah Fawcett, the 1970's fashion icon.
Earlier at around 9.28 am, Farrah passed away in Santa Monica, California.
She was 62 and had been battling cancer since late 2006.
Well, many of us still remembers the highly succesful TV series in the 1970s, Charlie's Angels, starring Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith.
Farrah played the character of Jill Munroe.
Together with Kate (as Sabrina Duncan) and Jaclyn (as Kelly Garett), the trio were hired by Charles Townsend agency as private investigators.
Every week, they received instructions from Charlie, whose face was never seen until now.
The mysterious Charlie will give assignments via a speaker phone (there were no mobile phones, Internets, SMS alert, facebook or My space at that time!!!)
So every week, we saw Farrah, Kate and Jaclyn together with their liaison, Bosley (played by David Doyle) kick the bad guys asses!!!
Farrah was once married to fellow TV superstars - Lee Majors - the lead actor for the TV series "Six Million Dollars Man".
She then lived with Ryan O'Neal.
Ryan O'Neal led the tributes to his late partner Farrah Fawcett.
He said: "After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away.
"Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."
Her Charlie's Angels co-star Jaclyn Smith said: "Farrah had courage, she had strength and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels."
Farrah's ex-husband Lee Majors said: "She was an angel on Earth and now an angel forever."
Charlie's Angel's co-star Jacyln Smith said: "Farrah had courage, she had strength and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels."
Fellow Charlie's Angel Kate Jackson said: "I will miss Farrah everyday. She was a selfless person who loved her family and friends with all her heart, and what a big heart it was."
Good bye Farrah, Good bye Charlie's Angels, may you rest in peace, surrounded by beautiful angels...
Farewell to the King of Pop - Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson, the undisputed King of Pop, MJ, the wacko, the megastar from Indiana, the best of the best, has died today at around 2.26 pm (US time) in Los Angeles, of suspected cardiac arrest, accordig to his brother, Jermaine Jackson.
Michael Jackson was 50.
He leaves behind a pop legacy, unheralded, undisputed and unrivalled.
His 1982 album, "Thriller" sold 109 million copies.
Altogether, Michael Jackson sold approximately 250 million albums (that is quarter of a Billion)!!!!
Nobody, not even Madonna, Britney Spears, U2, Metallica, Bee Gees, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Lady Gaga, Lionel Ritchie and Kenny Rogers, can beat that figure until now. It is a world record, and it still stands till now.
The success of Thriller enabled Michael Jackson to win 8 Grammy Awards that year.
His talent was unique and sometimes referred to as from out of this planet!!
His music, lyrics, costumes, dance moves, styles, dressings, and everything, came from the future, perhaps from planet Mars!!
Nobody will forget the white gloves, the king costumes, the hair, the shoes, the metallic pants, the moon walk, the shriek, the "ouuuuuu", the 360 degree plus plus movement and many many more.
Hail to the King of Pop.
We will miss you MJ.
Rest in peace.
Below are some of Michael Jackson classics.

Scary Welcome for French Tourists in New York City
After a long haul trans Atlantic flight or a 15 hours non stop flight, the least thing you want to happen to you on arrival is a car chase with the local police.
Well that happened exactly to 5 French tourists upon arrival in New York.
Five French tourists got a harrowing start to their New York visit: a wild police chase.
– Ester-Ethy Mamane, left, and her mother Claudie Mamane speak to reporters during a during a news conference …
As they looked for a ride at the Air France terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Tuesday morning, the visitors were lured to a van that was not licensed to provide taxi service, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman John Kelly said.
Plainclothes police recognized the man who enticed the tourists, Ian McFarland, as a repeat offender previously arrested for corralling passengers into unlicensed cars.
A Port Authority officer reached inside the van to try and grab the keys, but the driver, Khaalif Preacher, sped off with the tourists inside, knocking the officer to the ground, Kelly said.
Port Authority police sped after the van, which snaked through residential streets and traveled about seven miles through two boroughs before it crashed through a gate at a U.S. Postal Service facility in the East New York section of Brooklyn.
The tourists said they screamed and prayed during the chase.
"I was scared," Paris resident Esther-Ethy Mamane, 26, said.
Mamane and her mother, Claudie, traveled to New York to attend a religious seminar.
She said she tried to keep the other passengers inside the van calm during the chaos.
Preacher and McFarland jumped out while the van was still moving.
Mamane said there was smoke and the rear doors wouldn't open from the inside, so she jumped out the front as the van rolled and ran around to open the doors.
Mamane's mother tried to jump from the van, fell and the vehicle rolled over her arm. She was treated at a hospital and released. Mamane and the other passengers, a woman and her parents, were not injured.
Meanwhile, police chased the two suspects on foot and arrested them. They were awaiting arraignment Wednesday on charges of second-degree assault, second-degree assault on an officer, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and unlawful solicitation of ground transportation services, the Queens district attorney's office said. It wasn't clear whether they had attorneys.

it cost you 15 cents to laugh
A friend of mine sent me this joke via text message.
"A man and a duck walked into a bar and ordered 2 jugs of Beer. The bartender said, hey buddy, why are you bringing a pig in here?? The man replied to the bartender - Hey pal, this is a duck, not a pig, you moron. The bartender said, i was not talking to you, i was talking to the Duck!!!"
Naturally, i replied the text message with this words - "HaHaHa"...
After i pushed the 'send" button, that text message cost me 15 cents...
So what i am saying is that, we have to pay to laugh. Nothing is free in this world today..
This "HaHaHa" which means i laughed and enjoyed the joke, cost me money...
I don't mind paying for talking over the phones, for sattelite tv, for internet, for parking fees, for water and electricity, for using the washrooms, and for a mug of beer.. But to pay 15 cents just to laugh is too much!!!
Everyone of us surely had this "pay to laugh" moment right!!
How about paying to Cry??
So morale of the story, laugh aloud... HaHaHaHaHaHaHa...!!!!
Therapies and Rapists!!
People who provide therapies services are called therapists.
Therapists or therapist consist of 2 words, The & Rapist...!!!
Why is it like that???
Therapists are noble jobs... not like rapists who commit the heinous and grave crimes!!!
So, if a convicted but reformed rapist meet a therapist for a therapy session, what do we call that??
Rapist meet therapist!!!
Or The rapist meet the rapist??
Hahahaha... just for laugh

Malaysia - 2 Mericans in the limelight
Tan Sri Ismail Merican - Director General of Health, Malaysia
In Malaysia, Two Mericans are grabbing the headlines.
The two Mericans are not aMerican, but Malaysians.
The first Merican is Tan Sri Ismail Merican, the Director General of Health.
He is on the news daily since the outbreak of the dreaded Influenza A H1N1 virus or swine flu.
As of today 25th June 2009, 91 cases of H1N1 have been detected in Malaysia.
Now, the second Merican on the headlines is Petronas Acting Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Hassan Merican.
Tan Sri Hassan Marican - Acting Chairman, President & CEO of Petronas
Today on the 25th June 2009, Petronas, the national Oil and Gas corporation, announced a whopping RM 264.2 Billion (USD 77 Billion) in revenue for the financial year ended 31 March 2009.
That is the biggest amount for any corporation in Malaysia.
That amount is an increase of 18.4% compared to 223.1 Billion Ringgit revenue in 2008.
However, Petronas profit before taxation decreases to 89.1 Billion Ringgit (USD 26 Billion) as compared to 95.5 Billion Ringgit in 2008.
Petronas recorded a 76.3 Billion Ringgit profit before tax in 2007.
Nevermind, the combined profit before tax of Petronas in 2007, 2008 and 2009 is still a gigantic and monstrous RM 260.9 Billion...!!!
And the combined revenue of Petronas over that 3 year period is a collosal RM 671.4 Billion...!!!
Petronas profit after tax for 2009 is RM 52.5 Billion (USD 15.3 Billion)....!!!
In 2008, Petronas profit after tax was RM 61 billion and in 2007 - it was RM46.4 Billion.
Still, the combined profit after tax for the 3 year period is RM 159.9 Billion.
You live for 77 generations and that amount of money will not finish.
Consider putting the RM 159.9 Billion in net profit into a fixed deposit account, and by enjoying an interest rate of 1 % per month, you will be getting millions of ringgit in interest alone!!!!!!!
My Gosh - that means Petronas paid a mammoth amount of RM 101 Billion for tax alone for that 3 years - 2007, 2008 and 2009...!!!
I wonder how much is Tan Sri Hassan Merican is getting in perks, salary, etc per month as acting Chairman, President and CEO of Petronas??
I don't know the answer but i bet Tan Sri Hassan Merican is making much much much more than the other Merican - Tan Sri Ismail Merican..!!! Am i right??
Congrats Petronas...!!!
H1N1, even the Deputy Chief Minister is on home quarantine
In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Peter Pang and his family have put themselves on home quarantine after his son, who returned to Sandakan from Melbourne, was confirmed to be the state’s second Influenza A( H1N1) case.
“As responsible citizens, Datuk Pang and his family have taken the immediate step to quarantine themselves as a precaution,” his political secretary Jason Tan said.
Pang, his wife and two daughters are in self isolation after Pang’s 17-year-old son was confirmed by Health authorities on Jun 24 to have been infected and put in the isolation ward of the Duchess of Kent Hospital here.
Tan said that Pang’s son condition was stable.
Pang, who is state Youth and Sports Minister, was scheduled to launch the state level students’ forum competition at SM Tshung Tsin Thursday but was represented by state Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.
Sabah’s first case of A(H1N1) involved a 15-year-old girl here who was discharged from the Linghzi quarantine centre here last Friday after a week of anti-viral treatment.
The girl was studying in the United States and had returned to Kota Kinabalu via a MAS flight from Hong Kong on June 13.
Pang is the assemblyman for Karamunting, he contested for the first time in an election in last year March 2008 general election.
After winnig the seat,Pang was appointed Minister of Youth and Sports.
On May 2009, Pang was appointed as Deputy Chief Minister for the Chinese community quota, replacing Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah who was partyless but later joined Gerakan - a Penisular Malaysia based party.

In Football, anything can happen... it's true
In Football, anything can happen...
ANd crazy things happen too..
In the ongoing Confederations Cup in SOuth Africa, we had seen many upsets..
First, was Egypt stunning 1-0 victory over reigning World Cup Champion, Italy or better known as The Azzuris.
Then came USA's moment of magic.
USA first 2 games ended in defeat, a 0-3 drubbing by Brazil and 1-3 loss against Italy... infact USA was virtually eliminated from the tournament, but now USA is shockingly in the final!!!!!
How come that be???
Well, USA in their last game, beat the mighty African champion - Egypt by 3 - 0.
And Italy got beaten by the same score to Brazil.
so USA qualified into the semifinal by virtue of scoring more goals even tough they share the same points and goal difference with Italy.
Egypt had 3 points too but was rooted at the bottom because of a minus 3 goal difference as compared to USA and Italy's minus 2 goal difference.
Last night, USA ended Spain 35 matches unbeaten streak with a 2-0 win against the reigning European champion.
That result was indeed very very shocking.
Who can imagine that a team like the USA can beat the might Spaniard??
Currently, Spain is the number one team in the world, according to FIFA ranking.
Spanish super strikers Fernando Torres, David Villa, Xavi, Xavi Alonso and Sergio Ramos all fired blank against USA sturdy and solid rock defence.
Well, can we expect Brazil to suffer the same fate tonight against the host, South Africa in the second Semifinal????????
I hope not.
Brazil is the 5 time World Cup Champion.
On paper, Brazil should have no problem dismantling SOuth Africa.
But football is crazy and we had seen crazy results before.
Memorable football crazy included North Korea exploit of qualifying into the 1966 WOrld Cup Quarterfinal, shocking everybody...
In the QUarter final against Portugal, North Korea led 3-0, only to be beaten 5-3 by the legendary Eusebio inspired Portugal team.
In the 2002 World Cup, South Korea, powered all the way into the semifinal, beating Italy, Portugal and Spain in the process, before being stopped 1-0 by Germany led by Michael Ballack.
The 2002 world cup opening match was shocking too, reigning world cup champion France beaten 1-0 by Senegal.
Also in the opening match in the 1990 World Cup, the then World Cup holder, Argentina was beaten 1-0 by Cameroon, the memorable goal scored by Francois Omam Biyik. But after that defeat, Diego Maradonna still managed to bring Argentina all the way to the final but Germany won 1-0, no thanks to a penalty taken by ANdreas Brehme.
It is not easy to be included in the starting lineup in the Brazilian national team.
Look at Juninho Pernambuco, the Lyon playermaker who helped the club win the French domestic league for 7 consecutive times since 2002!!!! it is a French record as well as world record!! But Juninho is not even guaranteed first team place!!! Because Brazil has so many talented footballers!!!!!
SO my prediction tonight, Brazil 3 - 0 South AFrica.
Viva Brazil... Viva Liverpool...

Yuna, she rocks with a difference
In Malaysia, the Rock Queen is and has always been Ella.... Ella was formerly the front woman of the rock band "Ella and the Boys" who were hugely popular in the late 1980s.
My tribute to the founder of the band - a long haired guy known as "Lord"...!!!! I dont know 'Lord" whereabout now... Where are you Lord?? Hope you are fine Lord..
Well, after Shima, it seems no woman in Malaysia is capable of unseating Ella as the numero uno Rock Queen in the country...
But who knows... a newcomer known as 'Yuna' is making waves with her hit song "dan Sebenarnya" and other hits - English numbers ... and her trademark "Tudung" or veil... That's it... a female rocker wearing the veil or tudung... that is unique...
and Yuna plays the guitar too.. but Ella does not play that instrument..
Yuna sings like Alanis Morissette too...!!!
Yuna is still furthering her studies in a local university.
Yuna rocks!!! Viva Ella Forever!!
Sorry video quality not so good (you know this amateur so called cameramen out there).... but audio quality very good...
EP version of "Dan Sebenarnya"
Yuna singing "Deeper Conversation"
Yuna - Peer Pressure
Yuna - Missing Star

Brazil vs Italy, Clash of the Titans
Luis Fabiano celebrates after scoring against Italy
Real Madrid bound Brazilian super stiker Kaka consoling Italy's captain and Real Madrid team mate - Fabio Cannavaro.
In soccer, what will happen if the 5 time World Cup winners squares up against the 4 time World Cup winners???
Brazil the 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002 FIFA World Cup Champions met Italy, the 1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006 FIFA World Cup Champions last night, at 2.30 am Malaysian time in the Confederations Cup in South Africa.
The end result, Brazil 3 - 0 Italy, with all the goals scored in the 1st half by the mighty Brazilians.
The last time Brazil and Italy met was in a friendly match in Wembley, England in February 2009 where Brazil prevailed in a 2-0 win.
This 2 great teams have met each other in 2 World Cup Finals in 1970 and 1994.
In the final in Mexico 1970, the greatest Brazilian team of all time led by Pele, Rivelino, Jairzinho, Tostao and Carlos Alberto outclassed Italy 4-1 in the final in one of the greatest ever match ever witnessed by the world.
Then Italy's star palyers, Luigi Riva, Roberto Boninsegna and Gianni Rivera were no match to the Brazilian firepower superattack.
In that 1970 memorable match, after leading comfortably 3-1, Brazil began playing exhibition football, to the delights of millions of football fans around the globe.
Brazil 4th and final goal was scored by Carlos Alberto.
The goal was dubbed the greatest ever goal ever scored in that tournament.
Carlos Alberto scored after a series of moves by the Brazilian team from the left to the center, where a total of 8 outfield Brazilian players passed the ball around before Carlos Alberto hammered the ball into the corner of the Italian goal following an inch perfect pass across the Italian 18 yard box from Pele.
In the 1994 World Cup final in USA, Brazil inspired by Romario and Bebeto prevailed again against the Azzurris.
Italy had the strongest defence in the world at that time with the legendary Franco Baresi together with Paolo Maldini and Alsesandro Costacurta, and their goal keeper -Gianluca Pagliuca. Their strike force was spearheaded by the current World player of the year Roberto Baggio aka the divine Ponytail.
After extra time, the score was dead locked at 0-0.
Despite relentless attack by Brazil, Italy's defence stood firm.
In the ensuing penalty shoot out - the 1st ever match to be decided that way in the history of the World Cup, Roberto Baggio shot the ball over the crossbar and Brazil was crowned champion of the world for the 4th time.
Back to 2009, in last night match, Brazil scored all 3 goals in the 1st half.
Had Brazil scored one goal less, or Italy scored one goal in that match, then Italy should qualify into the semifinal.
Instead it was United States, the team that was beaten 3-1 by Italy earlier who advanced.
It was magic.
Before the Brazil-Italy match, United States was virtually eliminated, having minus 5 goal differences and zero points.
But then Brazil beat Italy 3-0 and USA beat African Champion Egypt by the same margin.
That means USA, Italy and Egypt had the same points - 3 points. USA and Italy also shared the same goal difference - minus 2 but USA qualified by virtue of scoring more goals than Italy in the group stage.
