Farrah Fawcett - You will always be remembred

Iconic 1976 poster of Farrah Fawcett. First published in Life magazine in 1976, it is the best-selling pin-up poster of all time, with more than 12 million copies sold.

25th of June 2009 will always be remembered in the entertainment industry. Because we lost not one, but two icons.

First, the unexpected death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson at approximately 2.26pm (US time).

5 hours earlier, we lost Farrah Fawcett, the 1970's fashion icon.

Earlier at around 9.28 am, Farrah passed away in Santa Monica, California.

She was 62 and had been battling cancer since late 2006.

Well, many of us still remembers the highly succesful TV series in the 1970s, Charlie's Angels, starring Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith.

Farrah played the character of Jill Munroe.

Together with Kate (as Sabrina Duncan) and Jaclyn (as Kelly Garett), the trio were hired by Charles Townsend agency as private investigators.

Every week, they received instructions from Charlie, whose face was never seen until now.

The mysterious Charlie will give assignments via a speaker phone (there were no mobile phones, Internets, SMS alert, facebook or My space at that time!!!)

So every week, we saw Farrah, Kate and Jaclyn together with their liaison, Bosley (played by David Doyle) kick the bad guys asses!!!

Farrah was once married to fellow TV superstars - Lee Majors - the lead actor for the TV series "Six Million Dollars Man".

She then lived with Ryan O'Neal.

Ryan O'Neal led the tributes to his late partner Farrah Fawcett.

He said: "After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away.

"Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."

Her Charlie's Angels co-star Jaclyn Smith said: "Farrah had courage, she had strength and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels."

Farrah's ex-husband Lee Majors said: "She was an angel on Earth and now an angel forever."

Charlie's Angel's co-star Jacyln Smith said: "Farrah had courage, she had strength and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels."

Fellow Charlie's Angel Kate Jackson said: "I will miss Farrah everyday. She was a selfless person who loved her family and friends with all her heart, and what a big heart it was."

Good bye Farrah, Good bye Charlie's Angels, may you rest in peace, surrounded by beautiful angels...
