Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin can sing!!!
Who said the Russian Prime Minister and former Persident, Vladimir Putin, can't sing??
Putin recently showed to the world that he indeed can sing in a charity event to raise fund to fight children cancer at an event in St Petersburg, Russia.
Putin sang "Blueberry Hill" in front of celebrities including US actors and actresses - Kevin Costner, Mickey Rourke, Sharon Stone, Kurt Russell, Vincent Cassel, Monica Belucci, Ornella Muti, Goldie Hawn and France's Gerard Depardieu.
You are really great Putin...
But i wonder why Putin likes this song?? Was it a nostalgia song?? Does it reminds Putin of his love life in the 60s or 70s or 80s??
This is truly From Russia with love
Well "Blueberry Hill" is a popular song published wayback in 1940.
The music was written by Vincent Rose, the lyrics by Al Lewis and Larry Stock.
"Blueberry Hill" was recorded 6 times in 1940 with the largest 1940 hit was the rendition by Glenn Miller.
Louis Armstrong's 1949 recording charted in the Billboard Top 40.
As for Fats Domino, it was an international hit in 1956, reaching number 2, for 3 weeks on the Billboard Top 40 charts, becoming his biggest pop hit, and spent eight non-consecutive weeks at number one on the R&B Best Sellers chart.
The version sang by Fats Domino was also ranked #81 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
The original version of Fats Domino's Blueberry Hill in 1956. Enjoy.
The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley himself performed that song during the height of Elvis mania, with his trademark style of course!!
Blueberry Hill Lyrics
I found my thrill on blueberry hill
On blueberry hill when I found you
The moon stood still on blueberry hill
And lingered until my dreams came true
The wind in the willow played
Love's sweet melody
But all of those vows we made
Were never to be
Tho' we're apart, you're part of me still
For you were my thrill on blueberry hill
