The main stage at Ottawa Bluesfest collapsed Sunday night, 17 July 2011, while Cheap Trick were performing. Well this is not a cheap trick or cheap stunt, but a real life threatening moment.
An unexpected thunderstorm caused the stage to collapse in on itself.
Fortunately, all members of Cheap Trick were unharmed, but media reports said that eight people were injured.
Ottawa Bluesfest is one of the largest North American festivals and it’s extremely lucky that more people weren’t hurt.
