KUALA LUMPUR, 9 DECEMBER 2011 – AirAsia officially launched the AirAsia Travel and Service Centre (ATSC); a one-stop travel and service centre offering services such as flight and hotel bookings and tour arrangements.

The ATSC is launched with the hope to bring the airline closer to the public. The opening of the centre also signals AirAsia’s commitment in providing fast and convenient access for ‘offline’ customers to AirAsia’s low fares, products and services.

The opening of ATSCs supplements the popular online services already offered by the airline at www.airasia.com. It performs as another easy booking channel and feature flexible payment methods for guests who may pay for flight bookings, products and services by either cash or credit card.

AirAsia Berhad Group CEO, Tan Sri Dr Tony Fernandes said, “It is a pleasure for us at AirAsia to provide easy accessibility of our low fares as well as other offerings to those who are not able to get them online.

We have 35 outlets nationwide to reach our guests to make it convenient for everyone to visit the centres and have access to our flights, products and services. Although these centres are handled by independent operators, the public can be rest assured that it is fully authorized and adheres to high service standards set by AirAsia.”

He added “ATSCs are designed to cater to the needs of ‘offline’ customers—those without access to our website and unable to do their own bookings at home. We realize that there are great demand from this market, hence the setting up of ATSCs all over the country to ensure that they are not left out from our great offerings. The opening of this new ATSC will also support our goal in continuously nurturing our growth in the country and boost the economy.”

The AirAsia Travel & Service Centre (ATSC) is a one-stop travel and service centre, offering services such as flight and hotel bookings and tour arrangements as well as products and services from AirAsia Insure, AirAsiaGo, AirAsia RedTix and Red Megastore. ATSCs are strategically located in key locations throughout Malaysia to ensure fast and easy access to the public.

The centres are designed to serve the needs of ‘offline’ consumers and to meet the growing demands for air travel. The first ATSC was launched in March 2011 and with the opening of its latest outlet in KL City Walk, there are a total of 35 outlets nationwide. These outlets can be found in different states including Kelantan, Kedah, Sarawak, Sabah and Johor.

On top of that, there are also 9 other ATSC outlets overseas in Iran, Vietnam, China and Cambodia. All of these outlets are operated by licensed third-party agents on behalf of AirAsia Berhad.
