Malaysian website, hacked by The Boogieman!!!
Terror of the ‘b0ogleman’. The picture above is The Boogieman, a former wrestler with the WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment, and not the B0ogieman who hacked the website.
The Star newspaper reported today that 5 Malaysian government websites have been defaced by a hacker known as “b0ogle”.
Three of the websites belong to the Water Supply Department, Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry and Sewerage Service Department.
The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry webpage and a sub-website under the Health Ministry were also hacked by the same person.
Both websites were defaced with a picture of a skull and a message calling for Palestine to be free.
Part of the message read: “We want Palestine free. Stop killing innocent children. We want peace. Remember peace cant buy (sic) with money.”
As of 11am yesterday, Tuesday, 6th March 2012, none of the websites could be accessed.
In a blog called HackerKini, a post stated: “It is hoped that the Government will be able to repair its holes, and bugs in Government websites after this incident.”
HackerKini claimed that “b0ogle” had hacked the website of a secondary school in Johor.
However, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said the five Government websites had been restored.
“We have commenced investigations into the matter and are working closely with the ministries of the websites involved,” MCMC said.
It said MCMC officers would have to look at the evidence to determine the extent of the offence.
