Chong Wei and Pandelela named 2011 Malaysian sportsman and sportswoman, 17 April 2012

Pandelela Rinong, a Bidayuh girl from Sarawak

Congratulations to Malaysia's World number one badminton ace Datuk Lee Chong Wei and divine diver Pandelela Rinong who have been named 2011 National Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year.

Pandelela of Sarawak won despite being closely challenged by Nicol Ann David, the 6 time World Open Women Squash Champion and World no.1 female squash queen.

The results was announced on Tuesday night, 17 April 2012.

The previous winner in 2010 were Nicol Ann David and Cyclist, Azizul Hasni Awang.
