The real-life French Spiderman did it again.. Alain Robert conquered Dubai's Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest buliding in the world at over 828 metres (2,716.5 feet/half mile) and more than 160 stories in all.!!!

So this super structure ever made by human beings is nearly 1 kilometre tall and it takes super super human effort to climb it from outside using your bare hands, feets, muscles, nerves and mental strength and of course no height phobia at all!!!

But Alain Robert took just 6 hour to conquer the Burj Khalifa on 28th March 2011. Totally Awesome!!!

Burj Khalifa holds the following records:

• Tallest building in the world

• Tallest free-standing structure in the world

• Highest number of stories in the world

• Highest occupied floor in the world

• Highest outdoor observation deck in the world

• Elevator with the longest travel distance in the world

• Tallest service elevator in the world

However, Alain Robert, 48, also holds multiple world record by climbing more than 85 super-tall structures all over the world, from Malaysia to New York.

Nobody in this entire universe can beat Alain Robert in climbing all the tallest structures in the world... No one.. not even Spiderman himself!!!

Robert, the French daredevil, is only 5 foot 5 inches and weighs 105 pounds, yet this Spiderman from Bourgogne, France has climbed more than what Stan Lee's fictional Spiderman is capable of.

On his website, the Frenchman says he is the best solo climber in the world despite the fact he suffers from vertigo and accidents that have "left me disabled up to 66 percent."

But conquering the Burj Khalifa was not easy.

For weeks before the Burj Khalifa climb, Roberts stayed in a hotel near the tower, doing pushups, pullups and loading up on carbohydrate-rich foods like pasta.

Robert began climbing the Burj from the 100th floor of the glass-sheathed structure at around 6 p.m Dubai time on Monday 28th March 2011 as hundreds of gawkers gathered below and completed that historic feat in 6 hours, an hour faster than what he told journalists earlier..

All the best Robert.. you are the pride of France apart from the Three Muskeeters.. All for one and one for all!!!

French Spiderman conquers Malaysia's tallest building

French Spiderman, Alain Robert is in the limelight again.

Today, Alain Robert was arrested after successfully scaling the 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The first building in this video is the Yayasan Sabah building in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Roberts succesfully climbed that building sometimes in 1997. Unlike other attempts, his feat was fully approved and fully blessed by the state government of Sabah. There was even a mini carnival to commemorate Roberts historic feat in Sabah. The helicopter camera visual was courtesy of the Sabah state government sponsorship of 2 Sabah Air Bell helicopters.

In the latest incident, Kuala Lumpur Deputy police chief SAC I Abdul Samah Ahmad said the Frenchman was arrested for criminal tresspass.

It was Robert’s third attempt to scale the 88-storey structure, at one time the world’s tallest building at 452 metres or 1,483 feet.

According to earlier wire reports, Robert sneaked past security before dawn Tuesday and climbed to the top of Tower 2 of the landmark building.

The 47-year-old has climbed more than 70 skyscrapers worldwide, including the Empire State Building, the Sears Tower and Taipei 101, according to his website - http://www.alainrobert.com/

“We have taken him back to the police station for questioning and checking his passport. He can be charged for criminal trespass ... . He climbed the building without a permit from the management,” Abdul Samah told AFP.

Robert, clad in a black shirt and trousers, celebrated his ascent by standing with his arms outspread on the pinnacle of one of the towers as a helicopter circled in the misty early morning.

Eyewitnesses said he took less than two hours to complete the climb, and then fixed a Malaysian flag on top of the building, AFP reported.

“He climbed using his bare hands and reached the top very fast ... no security personnel noticed him or stopped him,” said Ee Wee Kiat, a cameraman who was filming the scene from the ground.

Robert first tried to scale the building on March 20, 1997, and made a second unsuccessful attempt in 2007 after which he was freed without charge.

Each time he reached the 60th storey before being intercepted by authorities.

In 1997, Robert also succesfully climbed the tallest building in Sabah, the Yayasan Sabah building in Kota Kinabalu, this time with permits and with full support by the state government of Sabah, as shown in the you tube video above. The first building in that video is the Yayasan Sabah building.
