Yang Di Pertuan Agong menaiki pesawat Sukhoi SU 30 MKM dan menyelam di Kapal Selam KD Tunku Abdul Rahman

Pada 8 Februari 2011, Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, berkenan menaiki pesawat Sukhoi SU-30 MKM tentera udara di raja Malaysia, TUDM sempena lawatan Baginda ke kompleks TUDM Butterworth, Pulau Pinang.

Dan pada 10 Mac 2011 lalu, Baginda berpeluang pula menyelam dalam Kapal Selam pertama negara, KD Tunku Abdul Rahman di Perairan laut Cina Selatan dekat Layang Layang, sempena lawatan Baginda ke Sabah.

Pesawat Sukhoi SU-30 MKM buatan Russia antara pesawat perang tercanggih dimiliki TUDM.

Sukhoi SU-30 MKM atau lebih dikenali "Flanker" mampu terbang dengan kelajuan 2 kali ganda kelajuan bunyi, atau Mach 2 bersamaan 2,000 km sejam.

Dalam penerbangan bersejarah itu, Yang Di Pertuan Agong diterbangkan dengan kelajuan supersonik ke sekitar Kedah dan Langkawi sebelum kembali ke pengkalan TUDM Butterworth dalam masa 45 minit.

Juuterbang Sukhoi SU 30 MKM itu ialah Leftenant-Kolonel Mohd Asghar Khan Gauriman Khan.

Sepanjang penerbangan di raja itu, sebuah jet pejuang FA/18D Hornet buatan Amerika Syarikat, menjadi pesawat pengiring.

Pesawat jet pejuang Sukhoi SU-30 MKM buatan Russia adalah antara jet pejuang paling canggih di dunia, setanding dengan jet pejuang Super Hornet buatan USA, Mirage buatan Perancis dan Harrier buatan United Kingdom.

Dan Malaysia bertuah memiliki pesawat secanggih itu, bandingkan dengan pesawat pengebom Tentera Udara Filipina yang masih menggunakan pesawat lama era perang dunia ke 2, Bronco yang menggunakan kipas propellor.








Dan pada 10 Mac 2011 lalu, Yang Di Pertuan Agong berpeluang pula menyelam menaiki Kapal Selam pertama negara, KD Tunku Abdul Rahman di Perairan laut Cina Selatan, sempena lawatan Baginda ke Sabah.

KD Tunku Abdul Rahman adalah kapal selam pertama negara dan berpengkalan di Pengkalan Tentera Laut Di Raja Malaysia, TLDM di Teluk Sepanggar, Sabah.

KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, tiba di Pengkalan TLDM Teluk Sepanggar pada 17 September 2009.

Selain KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, sebuah lagi kapal selam turut berpangkalan di Sepanggar iaitu kapal selam kedua negara, KD Tun Abdul Razak.

Kedua dua kapal selam negara itu adalah kelas Scorpence, dibina firma Perancis, DCNS.

Where is Altanshagai Munkhtulga now?

How is he doing in his studies? Does he fare well in school?

Is he healthy?

Does he start playing football or computer games just like any other little boys around the world?

Altanshagai Munkhtulga? Does the name ring a bell?

To many Malaysians, they seem to forgot this little boy called Altanshagai.

He is a Mongolian boy and presumebly still living in far away Mongolia, the land of the great conquerors Kublai Khan and Genghiz Khan.

By right, Altanshagai now should be an 8 year old boy because he was born in 2003.



Altanshagai has an older brother, Mungunshagai Bayarjargal who was born in 1996 and should be 15 years old now.


His mother is well known in Malaysia, a beautiful Mongolian woman known as Altantuya Shaariibuu.

The late Altantuya was shot dead and then blown to pieces by explosives in a jungle in Mukim Bukit Raja, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia on the night of October 19th, 2006.

She was only 28 at the time of her brutal murder that shocked Malaysians and the rest of the world, thus setting up a high profile murder case that was watched closely by the international communities.

Altanshagai was only 3 years old when her mother, Altantuya met her unfortunate fate.

In the final hours of Altantuya's life, before being shot in the dark, deserted and lonely jungle in Malaysia, far away from home and far away from her children, her final thoughts must have been on Altanshagai and her other son.

She may have pleaded to her killers, to spare her life for the sake of her children.

On April 9th, 2009, two Malaysian policemen, Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, then 32, and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, then 36, were sentenced to death by the Shah Alam High Court for the murder of Altantuya, thus wrapping up the country's longest trial
ever.

84 witnesses out of 198 witnesses had testified in the trial that took 165 days to complete recording their evidence.

Sirul and Azilah had earlier claimed trial to murdering the Mongolian beauty between 10 pm on Oct 19th, 2006 and 1 am on Oct 20th, 2006 at the jungle of Mukim Bukit Raja.

Earlier on October 2008, a Malaysian political and defence analyst Abdul Razak Baginda was acquited without his defence being called of abetting in the murder of Altantuya.

On June 4th, 2007, Altantuya's parents Shaariibuu Setev and Altantsetseg Sanjaa, and Altantuya's two sons Mungunshagai Bayarjargal and Altanshagai Munkhtulga, filed a suit seeking RM100 million in damages from the government of Malaysian and Abdul Razak Baginda, over her death.

Malaysia 1st submarine to arrive on Sept 17, 2009

The Royal Malaysian Navy's (RMN) first Scorpene submarine, KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, will be arriving at its Region 2 naval base in Sepanggar Bay, here, Sept. 17.

Deputy Navy Commander, Lt Admiral Datuk Mohammed Noordin Ali, said the second one KD Tun Abdul Razak will be arriving between March and April next year.

The submarines, armed with Blackshark wire-guided torpedoes and Exocet SM-39 sub-launched anti-ship missiles, are part of the RMN's Future Fleet programme.

Both were built jointly by the French shipbuilder DCNS and its Spanish partner, Navantia.

Mohd Noordin was speaking after he witnessed the exchanging of duty between outgoing Region 2 Commander, First Admiral Datuk Syed Zahiruddin Putra Syed Osman, and his successor First Admiral Anuwi Hassan in a ceremony held at the said naval base Tuesday.

Syed Zahiruddin is going to Indonesia for more than one-year's study.

Mohd Noordin said Malaysian waters including within this region are well-guarded including from piracy.

"This includes Sabah waters É we have enough manpower stationed at all the islands along the East Coast especially under the currently implemented Ops Pasir," he said.

He hoped the people of Sabah would continue to extend their full co-operation to the navy in carrying out their duty to maintaining security at sea.

Earlier he also disclosed that the Perak State Government has agreed to rename Lumut as the Malaysian Navy City, which would be the first of its kind in the country.
