Symptoms of Swine Flu

Chin Peng WAJAR diharamkan daripada memasuki Malaysia selamanya

Inilah gambar Chin Peng

"Mahkamah perlu meneliti apa makna "asal Malaysia".
Peguam Kanan Persekutuan Suzana Atan mewakili para defendan.

Jose Reina should be kicked out of Liverpool

Reina - will it be Liverpool 4 - 4 Hull City this April 25??

Will Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Reina let in another 4 goals at the next match against Hull City come 25 April??

Well, he did that 2 consecutive times already, the 4-4 draw with Chelsea at the quarter final stage of the Champions League and the 4-4 draw at home to Arsenal at the recent English Premier League match.

Well i am a diehard Liverpool fan.

I even supported Liverpool long before i was even born in this world.

But the current form of this guy called Jose Reina is pathetic.

His 'Bozo the clown' performance during that 2 games had annihilated and broke millions of Liverpool fans hearts in the entire universe who really hope that this time Liverpool can once again be crowned King of Europe, the last time in 2005 and also King of England, the last time was 19 years ago..

Damn you Reina. You let in 8 goals in 2 matches.

Some of the goals can be saved even by me.

Look, if the ball comes straight at you, you will have 90 % chances of keeping it out from crossing the goal line.

Even at 300 km per hour, you can still do something with the ball, either parry it or punch it out of danger, except of course when it comes at you at supersonic bullet speed.

But Reina cannot even save a straight forward ball.

He of course can be excused it the ball was aimed at the far post, far right or far left, but not straight at him..

Look at Andrei Arshavin 3rd goal for Arsenal during the 4-4 draw at Anfield, the ball went straight to Reina and yet he completely missed it. He chose to dive low instead of using his legs or other parts of his body to clear the ball safely.

It's Liverpool vs Andrei Arshavin not Liverpool vs Arsenal.

Reina, don't you know that apart from your 2 hands, you can use any parts of your body to block the ball from entering the net. You can use your head, body, legs and even your own balls to stop the ball.

But you are useless and gutless and brainless.

Had you used your legs to block that Arshavin 3rd goal, Liverpool can be assured of victory and the 2008/2009 English Premier League title. Remember the last time Liverpool crowned as King of England was wayback in the 1989-1990 season, while Manchester United has won it countless times..

Look at Arshavin 3rd goal here - most goalkeepers in the world can save it.

If Liverpool can't win the title this season, i blame it on you Reina..

What is the use of your fellow countryman, Liverpool super striker Fernando Torres scoring 100 goals if you let in 150 goals?? it's useless isn' it?

So to the Liverpool bosses, i think Reina should go and go back to Spain to where he belongs. Yes, thank you for all his deeds like helping Liverpool win the 2005 Champions League, but you have to go this time Reina.

Liverpool should look at traditions.

Traditionally Spain only produces good and talented strikers and attackers and midfielders like Torres, Raul, Zarra, David Villa, Cesc Fabregas but never world class defensive players and goal keepers.

Instead, Italy, Russia and Holland are countries that traditionally produce very good and super world class goalkeepers.

Just name them - Lev Yashin, Gianlugi Buffon, Gianluca Pagliuca, Dino Zoff, Rinat Dasayey, Van Der Sar etc

Apart from Reina, other useless Liverpool players should also be replaced.

The pathetic Dirk Kuyt (what a name!!)

A player like Dirk Kuyt should be kicked out and replaced with truly world class strikers like Lionel Messi, Andrei Arshavin, Kaka, Luca Toni and Robinho and Frank Ribery.

Dirk Kuyt can't even dribble past one person. He only uses his speed but he has no dribbling skills. Many times, he chose to run straight like a mad bull at the opposing defenders instead of rounding them or shoot straight into a sea of legs instead of finding an opening.

Players like Lukas and Arbeloa should also be kicked out. Liverpool is only wasting taxpayers and fans money to pay these 3rd class players like Lukas & Arbeola, Reina and Dirk Kuyt.

The only truly world class players in the current Liverpool squad are Torres, Steven Gerrard and Javier Mascherano. No not even Yossi Benayoun.

The Defence department needs overhaul too.

2006 FIFA World Player of the year, Italian defender and World Cup Winner and captain - Fabio Cannavaro is a good bet to strenghten the leaky defence.

I am not saying that Liverpool must buy all the best players in the world or to have a frightening lineup with the likes of Pele, Maradonna, Puskas, George Best, Zico, Mario Kempes, Gerd Muller, Alfredo D'Stefano, Didi, Vava or Garrincha, but the current squad needs to be freshen up, enhanced and reinforced in all aspects.

For the record, Liverpool won the English Premier League titles and European Cup many many times in the past because of the presence of gifted world class players during that era.

Most notably, Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness, Terry McDermott, Ian Rush, Alan Kennedy, John Barnes and many more.

Don't believe me, then let's just have a look at John Barnes goal for England against Brazil..

Sometimes the ages of our children, brothers and sisters are very very useful indeed

Next time you check your water meter, be extra alert!!

Next time if your eyelids twitch, then do the necessary things!!

Thank you Fish Leong, you made me RM19,274,477.99 richer!!!

This was what Fish Leong did to a family from Johore.

what will you do if you are RM16.4 million richer?? well it's jumping up and down - 8 on the ritcher scale

1, 13, 28, 41, 42, 43 and yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karpal Singh fell from his wheelchair

source - the star online / bernama

KUANTAN: Karpal Singh fell from his wheelchair when he was about to attend a High Court hearing involving Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob and logging company Seruan Gemilang Makmur Sdn Bhd here Friday.

The Bukit Gelugor member of Parliament who was also an attorney for Seruan Gemilang, was initially carried by several aides up the stairs at the court complex with him remaining in the wheelchair.

But they lost balance and Karpal was tipped onto the five-foot way.

"It's time for us to have a good system with facilities for the disabled.

“Fortunately nothing happened to me. If something had, there'd be another by-election," he told reporters after the court proceedings.

He said this was the first time that he had fallen from the wheelchair.

He said his back hurt and he found difficulty in moving his hands, initially, after the incident, he said. Karpal, 69, became wheelchair-bound after a road accident on the way home from the Bayan Lepas International Airport in Penang on Jan 29, 2005.

Friday's court proceedings wa to hear the mentri besar's application for a stay of execution of a RM63 million judgement in favour of Seruan Gemilang following a suit for a breach of agreement allegedly committed by the Pahang government.

In court, Karpal and co-counsel Rajoo D. Moothy asked Justice Datuk V.T. Singham for more time to reply to an affidavit filed by Adnan who was represented by lawyer Datuk Shafie Abdullah and State Legal Adviser Datuk Mat Zara'Ai Alias on Wednesday.

Following this, the court postponed the hearing to next Thursday.

Those poachers are animals!!!

A Sabah Forestry Vehicle damaged by Poachers during the rampage

They normally hunt and kill animals in the wild but this time, a group of poachers brutally attacked a remote Forestry Department camp and left a senior officer seriously injured.

Department director Datuk Sam Mannan said some 20 people armed with machetes, hockey sticks, samurai swords, hunting knives and brass knuckles attacked the camp in the remote Ulu Segama-Malua forest reserve.

He said district forest officer Indra Sunjoto was dragged, slashed, beaten and left unconscious in the 9pm incident on April 2. Indra was badly bruised and sustained a deep gash in the head that required several stitches.

Mannan said police could not be alerted immediately as the wireless phone service in Ulu Segama had broken down.

He said that as an immediate measure, the police had deployed General Operations Force personnel to the forest reserve which was undergoing extensive reforestation work.

Soon after the attack, police in Lahad Datu arrested two men.

Mannan said the Forestry Department had also engaged a security firm with armed personnel to guard the base camp and forest rangers carrying out patrols.

As a long-term measure, the department is applying for a gun licence so that field personnel in critical areas can defend themselves, he said.

Apart from attacking Indra, Mannan said the rampaging poachers also ransacked the staff quarters, carting away food, meat and motorcycles.

The attack may have been triggered by Indra having stopped a poacher earlier that day who managed to escape but left behind fresh deer meat and a motorcycle, he added.

He said the attackers were believed to be a group of men who had been habitually entering the forest reserve to hunt for deer and other protected species including elephants and clouded leopards.

Mannan said prior to the attack there had been skirmishes between the illegal hunters and staff members of Yayasan Sabah, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Forestry Department.

Sipadan island in 14th place in race to become 7 new wonders of the world

Pulau Sipadan is now in 14th place in the race to be named one of the new Seven Wonders of Nature.

If the famed diving spot is to remain in contention, it must move up to 11th by July to qualify for the next round of the online election.

The campaign has seven categories, including islands, forests and seascapes.

And destinations from over the world are vying to make it into the top 11 in each section in time for the next round.

At the top of the island category is Bora-Bora Island in French Polynesia, followed by the Galapagos Islands.

Thailand's Ko Phi Phi is in 12th place.

Bora Bora island, French Polynesia

Galapagos islands

Yesterday, the state Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry launched a campaign to get university students and staff to vote for the island on Sabah's east coast, as part of an effort that started more than a month ago to get more support.

Assistant Minister Bolkiah Ismail, who launched the campaign at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah campus in Sepanggar, said he is scheduled to meet with federal authorities next week to begin an awareness programme in the peninsula.

"If Sipadan is eventually categorised as a new natural wonder it will have a great impact on tourism, not only for the island itself but for other destinations in Sabah and all over Malaysia."

Bolkiah said islands like Galapagos are not as diverse in marine life as Sipadan.

And getting Malaysians to participate in the online vote should be viewed as a "national duty".

So make hay while the sun shines..... Don't wait....Vote for Sipadan now!!! pleaseeeeeeee

Customs seizes 25kg of ketamine worth RM500,000

KOTA KINABALU, Sabah, Malaysia : The Sabah Customs Department recently seized 25kg of ketamine worth about half a million ringgit.

State Customs director Datuk Md Yusop Mansor said on April 19 the Kota Kinabalu International Airport’s special passenger inspection unit succeeded in thwarting an attempt to smuggle in the drug.

“The drug was abandoned as unclaimed baggage by a passenger who found out that the activity had been detected by Customs officers at the airport.

“Till now, no arrest had been made and we are investigating which syndicate is involved,” he said at a news conference here yesterday.

According to Md Yusop, ketamine is popular among drug users and there had been several attempts to smuggle in the drug from India.

Initial investigations showed that he baggage where the ketamine was found, originated from New Delhi, India and entered Sabah via transit from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The final destination of the baggage is Sandakan, an east coast town in Sabah.

The drugs was found wrapped in 25 formula milk packets. The brand of the formula milk is Rahman and made in India.

Malaysian woman received US Secretary of State's Award for International Women of Courage in the White House!!

This is because the news apparently made its way to the pages of Indian Times instead, but not in Malaysia's own papers!!!!!

Ambiga Sreenevasan, has a remarkable record of accomplishment in Malaysia. She has pursued judicial reform and good governance, she has stood up for religious tolerance, and she has been a resolute advocate of women’s equality and their full political participation. She is someone who is not only working in her own country, but whose influence is felt beyond the borders of Malaysia.

The US Secretary of State's Award for International Women of Courage was introduced in 2007.

In the presence of : United States First Lady - Michelle Obama
Venue - Benjamin Franklin Room, The White House, Washington DC, USA
Date - Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Speech by Hillary Rodham Clinton during the presentation :

Our final speaker, Ambiga Sreenevasan, has a remarkable record of accomplishment in Malaysia. She has pursued judicial reform and good governance, she has stood up for religious tolerance, and she has been a resolute advocate of women’s equality and their full political participation. She is someone who is not only working in her own country, but whose influence is felt beyond the borders of Malaysia. And it is a great honor to recognize her and invite her to the podium. (Applause.)

Acceptance Speech by MS. SREENEVASAN:

The First Lady Mrs. Obama, Madame Secretary Hillary Clinton, ladies and gentlemen, I am humbled to be in the company of seven extraordinary women receiving this award for courage, and I am deeply honored to now speak on their behalf and on mine.

We accept this award in all humility, remembering that we have been fortunate in being singled out from among countless courageous women in our countries who are dedicated to the cause of equality and justice.

It is also timely for us to remember all the women in other conflict-ridden territories, like Palestine and other countries, who have to show courage every single day in their struggle to survive and to keep their families together.

Each of us fights causes that promote equality and justice, and by presenting us with this award you honor those causes and all the people who work tirelessly for them with unflinching dedication.

This award will help to bring to the international stage our voices and our advocacy on these important issues. This occasion gives us an opportunity to reflect on the importance of the rule of law in promoting the rights of women around the world. When the rule of law is upheld, equality is upheld, the cause of justice is upheld, and human rights are upheld.

Today, we are witnessing a struggle for the souls of our nations, taking place between the forces of the old and the forces of change. We see our commitment to the rule of law, fundamental liberties, and the independence of our institutions being tested. The strength of our nations will depend on how well they withstand this test.

There are those who claim that democracy is a Western concept and is unsuitable elsewhere. There are yet others who perpetrate injustices behind a veneer of democracy. We say that democracy is universal, and a true democracy and the rule of law will prevail when the collective voices of the people are raised in its support.

On my part, I have for the past two years had the privilege to lead and serve the Malaysian Bar, a professional organization consisting of approximately 13,000 lawyers. History will bear testament to the fact that the Malaysian Bar has always been true to its first article of faith, to uphold the cause of justice without regard to its own interests or that of its members uninfluenced by fear or favor. In a sense, I was merely stepping into the shoes of the many other brave leaders of the bar who came before me, whereas many of the awardees today are pioneers in their struggle for justice.

This award has given us the opportunity which we would not otherwise have had, to share our stories, our successes, our failures, to reach out across our borders and to establish a base upon which we can build a meaningful network of support. These stories must be told in all our countries. By this experience, we are both enriched and enraged; enriched by what we have shared, and enraged that so many of our sisters endure intimidation and suffering in their countries. Nevertheless, ours is a message of hope that something has been achieved, despite the odds.

Martin Luther King said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” This means that although we may come from different walks of life, our struggle is common. And each success is a success for all, just as each failure is a failure for all. When we unite on a human rights platform, whether domestically or internationally, above politics and political alliances, we create more enduring partnerships and relationships. When we pursue freedom and empowerment for others, we reaffirm and protect our own.

In my interaction with the other awardees present here today, it was evident that the passion we feel for our causes is driven by the love of our homelands and our people. That, in turn, drives our passion for what is right and what is just. Our people deserve nothing less. We all believe in striving for ideals that are– if I may borrow the words – self-evident; namely, the ideals of truth, justice, goodness, and universal love and understanding. Our stories are a testament to the universality of these ideals.

We are truly and deeply honored by this award, more so, when it comes from you, Madame Secretary, yourself a woman of courage, who has inspired women around the world to reach great heights. Your untiring efforts in championing women’s rights worldwide are well known. Your immortal words that, “Human rights are women’s rights, and women’s rights are human rights,” resonate with all of us here.

We would also like to express our deep admiration for the First Lady Mrs. Obama, and we would also like to express our appreciation for your sharing this moment with us. Madame Secretary, on behalf of all the awardees, I thank you. And we accept the honor with humility and pride. Thank you. (Applause.)

SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you. These women of courage will serve to remind us every day as we do our work in this venerable building – here we are in the Benjamin Franklin Room, and I’m about to invite you to join our reception in the Thomas Jefferson Room – that our own country has a lot to live up to. But we derive inspiration from those who are struggling so hard just to realize the basic rights that we sometimes take for granted. And it is our responsibility not only to continue to do what we must here at home to realize the dream that America represents, but to use our talents and our abilities and resources to help others as well.

It is such a great privilege to be here with all of you, to be the Secretary of State at this moment of history in an administration represented by Mrs. Obama today, led by President Obama, who means so much already to so many around the world. Now, it’s our job to realize the promise that that represents. Thank you all very much. (Applause.)

SAPP to Putrajaya: Take action against anti-Malaysia elements

Source - http://www.sapp.org.my

Note : SAPP was a component party of the ruling Barisan Nasional, BN but pulled out of the coalition on 17 September 2008.

Kota Kinabalu, Apr 23, 2009: Sabah Progressive Party president (SAPP), Datuk Yong Teck Lee said that the recent release without charge of the persons who burned the Sabah flags sends a very dangerous message to many people in Sabah, particularly in the East Coast, that such treasonable actions are tolerated.

Yong further added that the "The New Sulu Times" that propagated anti-Malaysia propaganda was merely banned but no action was taken against the people behind it.

"A new publication by the same people can surface any time under another title. Whereas 'Malaysia Today' and other anti-BN websites have been shut down by the authorities, other websites claiming that Sabah is under the 'illegal occupation of Malaysia' are still active.

"In other states, people have been charged for insulting the Sultan and for protesting against toll hikes. Journalists and bloggers have been detained under the Internal Security Act. But in Sabah, people who committed treason by staking a claim on Sabah on behalf of a foreign power and burning state flags walk free. By claiming Sabah as belonging to another country, these people have ridiculed the Yang Di Pertuan Agong, the Sabah Tuan Yang DiPertua Negeri, our national Parliament, State Legislative Assembly and our Federal and State constitutions to which we have been sworn to uphold.

"These people had caused public anxiety. The entire anti-riot police of Lahad Datu district had to be deployed and top police officers were dispatched from their State headquarters on the same day. The efficiency of our police force is to be commended. Now, it is the duty of the State and Federal governments to do their part to safeguard the sovereignty and peaceful progress of our nation Malaysia.

"The Sabah Chief Minister in his winding up speech Wednesday had said of the "Sabah Claim"...
(a) Is an internal matter of the Philippines,
(b) The case has never been formally claimed in bilateral (Malaysia-Philippines) forum,
(c) Malaysia has never entertained this "non-issue" and the United Nations recognizes that Sabah is part of Malaysia,
(d) The Lahad Datu flag burning incident April 4 is an ordinary crime,
(e) The Philippines government has not given any commitment to establish a consulate in Sabah.

"With due respect, what the Chief Minister has missed out are (a) The "Sabah Claim" has now surfaced in Sabah by way of flag burning, "birth certificates" being issued by a foreign authority for children born in Sabah, printed publications and websites openly claiming that Sabah is not part of Malaysia. The "Sabah Claim" mindset among Filipinos is a psychological impediment to the long term solution to the illegal immigrants issue. It is already an open policy of the Philippines to refuse deportees from Sabah. In other words, the "Sabah Claim" is an internal matter of the Philippines that has vast implications on Malaysia's security.

"And (b) The "Sabah Claim" was raised in the "Pulau Ligitan and Pulau Sipadan case" before the International Court of Justice in 2001 when the Philippines asserted, unsuccessfully, "that its claim of sovereignty over North Borneo might be affected by the Court's reasoning or interpretations of treaties in issue between Indonesia and Malaysia.(ICJ 23 Oct. 2001) " This back door attempt to bring their claim on Sabah to the World Court shows that the Philippines is actively reviving this issue.

"Of course, the Philippines's revival of the "Sabah Claim' does not change the international law that Malaysia has sovereignty over Sabah and that the UN recognizes Sabah as part of Malaysia. Indeed, Malaysia, with Sabah as a state, is a creation of the UN in 1963. By necessary consequence and effective control under international law, the Philippines and the Sultan of Sulu have long ago lost sovereignty over any part of Sabah. So, international law is not the issue.

"The real issue is security. And the potential for conflict at a future date caused partly by false hopes among some people in the Philippines, and some illegal immigrants in Sabah, that somehow they, not Malaysia, are the rightful heirs of Sabah.

"The Philippines is the only neighbouring country not to have a consulate in Sabah. Brunei, Indonesia and Japan have full consulates here. Even France, Denmark, Slovakia, Britain, Finland, Switzerland, Panama, Bangladesh and Australia have honorary consuls in Sabah. As a comparison, the Philippines has consulates in Indonesian Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Surabaya other than the embassy in Jakarta. It is an open secret that the Philippines has refused to set up a consulate in Sabah because they deem it (a consulate) would be fatal in their claim for Sabah, the logic being that they (the Philippines) cannot set up a consulate in their own country. This is why the Philippines Embassy in Kuala Lumpur chooses to provide consular services to their citizens by sending officials to Sabah occasionally even though this long distance arrangement is causing hardship to their citizens here.

"Although we Malaysians believe that the "Sabah Claim" is a dead issue, on the Philippines side, this issue is kept alive as a form of "psychological warfare". It is reasonable to suspect that the Philippines are continuously preparing the Filipino psyche for a more effective claim on Sabah at a future date. For instance, Sabah (North Borneo) appears in their national maps. Note that "Malaysia" was not identified; just Sabah (North Borneo). Although Sabah (North Borneo) was shown to be separated by an international boundary, the appearance of Sabah (North Borneo) in their national maps reinforces their peoples' mindset that there is this place called "Sabah (North Borneo)" that is part of Filipino territory. Otherwise, it is absolutely not necessary for Sabah (North Borneo) to appear in their national maps.

"What is our Government doing about all these matters? We can reject the Philippines's Sabah claim but we should not ignore the dangers of anti-Malaysia elements championing it.

"If the Government policy is that we should not talk about the so-called Sabah Claim because Malaysia does not recognize it, then it must also show that such treasonable actions will be harshly dealt with. The burning of Sabah flags in Lahad Datu April 4 is a manifestation of the potential for trouble at a future date. Although the police found that the flag burning was the work of a tiny group, the authorities cannot be sure if the incident has the tacit support of a wider section of the community, both local and foreign. The flag burning, "The New Sulu Times" and websites promoting the "Sabah Claim" add to the mindset of anti-Malaysia elements that could germinate into a future threat to the Malaysia's security which should not be underestimated.

"In compelling the Philippines to set up a consulate in Sabah, our government should consider the suspension of their consular services conducted from KL, withdrawal of the Malaysian consulate in Davao, the suspension of the Philippine-owned Mindanao-Sabah ferry services and review the help that we extend to the Philippines in international bodies such as the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), which the Philippines desperately need. The Philippines must be made to understand that good relations with Malaysia will benefit them too." said Yong.

A case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde??

Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a novella written by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson and first published in 1886.

It is about a London lawyer who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr. Henry Jekyll, and the misanthropic Mr. Edward Hyde.

The work is known for its vivid portrayal of a split personality.

Split in the sense that within the same person there is both an apparently good and an evil personality each being quite distinct from the other.

The novella's impact is such that it has become a part of the language, with the phrase "Jekyll and Hyde" coming to mean a person who is vastly different in moral character from one situation to the next.

So could this news report by the Star Online today on Thursday, 23 April 2009, a modern day case or version of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde??

The newsreport is about 3 persons, one a religious teacher and another two - investigating officers with a security firm, who were sentenced to jail for armed robbery in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

Religious teacher jailed for armed robbery

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia : A religious teacher was among three jailed for a month each by a Magistrates Court Thursday for robbing a post office and two men in Brickfields early this year.

Mohd Hadi Abd Aziz, a teacher at a private college in the city, and his friends, Noor Iman Mohd Daie and Yusnihar Yusop, who are both investigations officers with a security firm, pleaded guilty and sentenced to jail by Magistrate Aizatul Akmal Maharani.

The trio, all aged 29, are from Taman Keramat, Kuala Lumpur.

Armed with parangs, the trio had allegedly robbed the post office of RM5,287 on January 10 this year when the post office was about to close for the day at around 4.30p.m.

Within minutes after robbing the post office, the trio had zeroed in on two other men within the vicinity of the post office.

They robbed the first victim of a gold chain worth RM2,000 and took RM2,300 cash from the other man.

Mohd Hadi was represented by his lawyer Ghazali Taib with the other two were represented by their lawyer Azman Aziz.

All three were charged under Section 392 and Section 397 of the Penal Code for armed robbery.

Anwar's former aide Saiful Bukhari Azlan, sues blogger - RM 2 million...!!!

Saiful Bukhari Azlan

Source - The Star Online Thursday 23 April 2009

SHAH ALAM: PKR chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan filed an RM2mil suit against a blogger at the High Court registry here for allegedly defaming him.

Mohd Saiful and his lawyer Zamri Idrus, however, refused to divulge the identity of the individual, who blogs at www.pahangdaily.blogspot.com.

“Let us serve the writ on him first before disclosing his name,” said Zamri.

Mohd Saiful, who read out from a prepared statement, said the blogger had defamed him in six articles posted from Sept 2008 onwards.

Mohd Saiful came into prominence last year not long after the 12th general election when he had lodged a police report alleging he had been sodomised by Anwar.

Anwar pleaded not guilty to sodomising his former aide on Aug 7. The trial is on-going.

If convicted, he can be jailed up to 20 years and whipped for voluntarily committing unnatural sex under Section 377B of the Penal Code

Face to face with a Somali pirate!!

These Somali pirates have been creating havoc to the shipping industries worldwide because the gulf of Aden where the rampant pirates attack took place is one of the key shipping route.

These pirates only want money for themselves, not knowing how their piracy acts, have greatly jeopardise our living and the economy.

From international media reports, millions of dollars had been paid out as ransom to these pirates, and yet they are still not satisfied, still greedy and still attacking.

The international shipping laws forbid ships from carrying arms or armed guards, thus making it easier to this pirates to subdue the crews.

Pirates also used long poles or ropes to manouver their way up to ships from their small boats.

My say, why not shipping agencies all around the world meet and change the laws that forbid them to carry arms or armed guards.

Why not sacrifice a few thousands in the form of payments for armed professional escorts to keep guard and ensure safe journey to your ships??

Instead of letting your sailors and crews cross the gulf of Aden without any means of defending themselves?? and incur million of dollar losses when the ship and the crews are being kidnapped?? what if they died as had happened to one crew member of a hijacked Malaysian tanker, MISC last year??

Why not equip those commercial ships with big guns such as a 50 calibre Heavy Machine Guns or a Phalanx weapon system or even Anti Aircraft guns? or at least a GPMG - general purpose machine gun?? these kinds of armaments will scare the hell out of the pirates!!!!

The sea around gulf of Aden is monstroulsy vast and not even the biggest navy armada in the world can escort and watch each and every one ship out there, isn't it?

Below is a newsreport by the BBC on a "SMILING" young Somali pirate captured by the US Navy and extradited to the US.

BBC News
A Somali teenager captured by the US during the rescue of an American sea captain from pirates is due to appear in a federal court in New York.

Abde Wale Abdul Kadhir Muse will be the first person to face piracy charges in the US in over a century, US media reports say.

He was held over the seizure of Maersk Alabama Captain Richard Phillips off Somalia and flown to the US on Monday.

Earlier, his mother appealed to US President Barack Obama to free him.

Adar Abdurahman Hassan told the BBC her son was innocent and just 16 years old.

The teenager is accused of being a member of the pirate gang which boarded the Maersk Alabama container ship on 8 April and took Capt Phillips hostage in a lifeboat.

The stand-off ended on the fifth day when US Navy marksmen killed three of the pirates while Abde Wale Abdul Kadhir Muse was aboard a US warship allegedly demanding a ransom.

The teenage suspect arrived in the US late on Monday, under heavy guard.

On Monday his mother said she wanted to be present in court if the case went ahead.

She said her son had been missing for two weeks prior to the hijacking and she only realised he had been implicated when she heard his name in a radio report.

She told the BBC's Somali service: "I am requesting the American government, I am requesting President Obama to release my child. He has got nothing to do with the pirates' crime.

"He is a minor. He is under-age and he has been used for this crime. I also request from the US, if they choose to put him on trial, I want them to invite me there."

On Sunday, the internationally-recognised but fragile Somali government said captured pirates could face the death penalty.

But the Horn of Africa nation has been without an effective administration since 1991, fuelling the lawlessness which has allowed piracy to thrive.

Shipping companies last year handed over about $80m (£54m) in ransom payments to the gangs.

Iran President, Ahmadinejad welcomed home after controversial speech at UN anti racism conference

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has returned home to what has officially been described as a sensational welcome.

This follows his controversial speech at a UN anti-racism conference in Geneva.
European delegates walked out when he described Israel as a racist state. France called his address a "hate speech", while the US called it "vile".

Some countries had boycotted the conference because the Iranian president was appearing.

But Iranian state media described Mr Ahmadinejad as the superstar of the conference.
According to Iran's official news agency, a crowd gathered at Tehran airport from the early hours, reports the BBC's John Leyne in Tehran.

When Mr Ahmadinejad emerged they created what the agency called a "very sensational scene" to welcome him home.

One pro-government paper said the president had shot the last bullet into the brain of the West.

Government opponents have chosen, or been prevented, from making any open criticism, our correspondent adds, although some papers hinted at their scepticism by describing his speech as "controversial".

Earlier on Monday, Mr Ahmadinejad spoke at the start of the five-day UN conference in Geneva.

Jewish migrants, he said, had been sent from Europe and the US after World War II "in order to establish a totally racist government in the occupied Palestine".

He continued: "And in fact, in compensation for the dire consequences of racism in Europe, they helped bring to power the most cruel and repressive racist regime in Palestine."

His comments prompted a walk-out by delegates from at least 30 countries, and a raft of condemnation from Western officials.

Diplomats who remained, however, applauded as Mr Ahmadinejad continued his address.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressed dismay at both the boycotts and the speech, saying Mr Ahmadinejad had used it "to accuse, divide and even incite".

The Red Baron, The greatest fighter pilot during World War I

Freiherr Manfred von Richthofen aka Red Baron

Manfred von Richthofen Von Richthofen was also known as "le Diable Rouge" ("Red Devil") or "Le Petit Rouge" ("Little Red") in French, and the "Red Knight" or the "Red Baron" in English.

He was credited as the greatest fighter pilot during world war One, where fighter aircrafts were still in their infancy stage and still used propeller, 50 times slower compared to modern jet fighters.

The Red Baron registered 80 kills.

His kills included British top pilot - Major Lanoe Hawker VC, described by von Richthofen himself as "the British Boelcke" or the British Ace.

The victory came while von Richthofen was flying an Albatros D.II and Hawker was flying a D.H.2 on 23 November 1916.

A replica of Freiherr Manfred von Richthofen's Red Fokker Triplane

When the First World War broke out, von Richthofen served as a cavalry scout on both the eastern and western fronts. However, when traditional cavalry operations became obsolete due to machine guns and barbed wire, the soldier were used in ordinary battlefield operations and for reinforcements.

Disappointed with not being able to participate more often in combat operations, von Richthofen joined the Flying Service at the end of May, 1915.

He was initially a reconnaissance observer over the Eastern Front.

On being transferred to the Champagne front, he managed to shoot down a French Farman aircraft with his observer's machine gun, but was not credited with the kill, as it fell behind Allied lines.

He then trained as a pilot in October, 1915.

In March 1916, he joined Kampfgeschwader 2, flying a two-seater Albatros B.II.

Over Verdun on 26 April 1916 he fired on a French Nieuport, downing it over Fort Douaumont, although once again he gained no official credit. At this time he flew a Fokker Eindecker single-seat fighter.

After a further spell flying two seaters on the Eastern Front in August 1916, he switched to Jagdstaffel or Jasta 2 aircraft.

Von Richthofen won his first aerial combat over Cambrai, France, on September 17, 1916.

After his first victory, von Richthofen ordered a silver cup engraved with the date of the fight and the type of enemy machine from a jeweller friend in Berlin.

He continued this tradition until he had 60 cups, by which time the supply of silver in blockaded Germany was restricted.

Rather than engage in risky tactics like his brother Lothar (40 air kills), Manfred von Richthofen strictly observed a set of flight maxims (commonly referred to as the "Dicta Boelcke") to assure the greatest success for both squadron and individual flyer.

After his famous kill on the British ace Major Lanoe Hawker VC, on 23 November 1916, he switched to the Albatros D.III in January 1917, scoring two kills before suffering a crack in the spar of the aircraft's lower wing.

After this incident, von Richthofen reverted to the Albatros D.II for the next five weeks.

Von Richthofen scored one kill in the D.III on 9 March, but the D.III was temporarily grounded for the rest of the month, therefore von Richthofen switched to the Halberstadt D.II, scoring six kills in the Halberstadt between 11 March and 25 March, 1917.

Von Richthofen returned to the Albatros D.III on 2 April 1917. He scored his next 22 kills in this type before switching to the Albatros D.V in late June.

What a man!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder if he ever get the chance to fly a MIG 29-N, or a Sukhoi SU-30MKM or a B52 or a Stealth Fighter or a Superhornet or a Mirage!!!!!!

Maybe he can register more than 100 kills - better than the greatest modern era jet fighter pilot - Colonel Giora Epstein of the Israeli Defence Forces who scored 17 kills and being branded the ace of all aces!!!!

The luckiest and unluckiest airline pilot in the world

The hijacked, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961 piloted by Leul Abate crashed landed in the Indian Ocean near Comoros. 125 passengers and crews died, but Abate survived.

Captain Leul Abate (born 1954) was a pilot with Ethiopian Airlines.

During his career, the airliner that he piloted was hijacked 3 times.

And each time, he survived.

Therefore, he is the luckiest and unluckiest pilot in the world.

The most high profile case happened on November 23, 1996. Abate, was the pilot of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961, which was hijacked, fifteen minutes out from Addis Ababa to Nairobi, by three Ethiopians seeking political asylum.

The plane crashed in the Indian Ocean near Comoros after running out of fuel, killing 125 of the 175 passengers and crew on board.

Leul observed that, "[The hijackers] knew they wouldn't make it to Australia - they just wanted us to crash. They should be dead. The way they were talking they didn't want to live."

Four hours later, the plane was nearly out of fuel as it approached the Comoros islands. Leul's co-pilot, Yonas Mekuria, had been attacked with an axe.

The communications system in the airplane had been disabled. The hijackers ignored his plea to land at the Comoros's Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport, and instead, one of them, drinking a bottle of whiskey, decided to fly the plane himself.

When the plane ran out of fuel, both engines failed. Leul and Yonas, bleeding and bruised, fought with the hijackers.

Leul used a ram air turbine to preserve the aircraft's most essential functions, but in this mode some hydraulic systems—such as the flaps—were inoperative. This forced Leul to land at more than 175 knots (about 200 miles per hour or 320 kilometers per hour).

Still fighting with the hijackers, Abate tried to ditch the aircraft in shallow waters 500 metres off Le Galawa Beach Hotel near Mitsamiouli at the northern end of Grand Comoro island, however, at the last moment, one of the hijackers grabbed the controls.

The left engine and wingtip struck the water first, causing the aircraft to break up. Island residents and tourists, including a group of scuba divers and some French doctors on vacation, came to the aid of crash survivors.

125 of the 175 passengers and crew members, including the three hijackers were killed. Both pilots survived the crash and Leul continues to fly for Ethiopian Airlines.

Leul considers Yonas, the co-pilot, the real hero. Yonas fought the hijackers while he himself was bruised and bleeding, giving time for Leul to land the airplane. "He was a life-saver," Leul said.

Flight 961 was not the first time Leul had experienced a hijacking. On two previous occasions, Leul had been hijacked. On both occasions, he managed to talk the hijackers into stopping their attempt

The most controversial song in the world??

The song was inspired by the mass rape of Serbian forces on Bosnian women during the Balkan war or Bosnian war in 1992)
Nirvana Singer Status - Kurt Cobain - dead. To be exact, Cobain was found dead on April 8, 1994, at his home in Seattle, with a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.

Malaysian woman holds world record as first female pilot of a M-I-G 29 jet fighter

The Russian built Mikoyan-Gurevich (M-I-G) 29-N Fighter jets.

From Russia with love

When she was young, her parents wanted her to become a piano teacher.

But Patricia Yapp Syau Yin was bent on becoming a pilot and pursued her dream.

Today, not many of us are aware that the 32-year-old Malaysian from Sandakan, Sabah holds the world record as the first ever woman to become a qualified MiG-29 fighter pilot.

Royal Malaysian Air Force, RMAF MIG 29 N fighter jets

A nice video of a MIG29

Now RMAF Captain, Patricia hopes the Government will seriously consider her request to be Malaysia's first female astronaut.

"The recent success of our first angkasawan has opened the eyes of many people, including myself. I hope to continue that success," she said.

Patricia is beautiful too.

In November 2007, she beat nine other participants in the five-minute Ratu Inspirasi contest segment of TV3's popular women's programme, Nona.

The segment, featured 10 of the country's top female achievers. "I didn't expect to win. I thought the winner of such contests would be someone from a corporate background," said Patricia.

"All the contestants have distinctive values and are no less successful than the other," she said.

"The reason might be due to the work I do, which is still perceived as a novelty among women." The fact that she is in a field monopolised by men, and one focused on serving the country, might have contributed to her win.

"I hope this will open the public's eyes, especially women, that we can do anything we want if we have faith in ourselves. Gender is not an issue anymore".

During her early involvement with RMAF, Patricia, who had been chosen to board America's most sophisticated aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan in 2006, said it wasn't smooth sailing initially.

"Since I was young, I knew this was what I wanted to do. The fact that my brother, who was a pilot with Malaysia Airlines, was also one of the reasons for my determination.

"My parents, especially my father, didn't approve. They were sceptical of a woman wanting to be a fighter pilot. They thought it was not a suitable job for a woman," she said.

"After looking at my achievements in this field, they finally turned around and I know they couldn't be happier," said Patricia.

"Many women are afraid to even think of becoming a pilot, for fear of having to endure the gruelling physical training.

“Actually, flying is not judged by muscle strength. It is more of mental preparedness and determination,” she said. (especially when you have to endure G forces up to 5G!!!)

“My fellow pilots as well as commanding officer Kol Lim Thian Hu from our RMAF 17th Squadron in Kuantan constantly encouraged me to keep on going,” she said.

She said she started training with a small MD-3 aircraft and later progressed to bigger planes, such as the PC-7 and Aermacchi MB339A.

Royal Malaysian Air Force, Russian made Sukhoi SU-30MKM (more advanced than the MIG 29N jet fighters!!!)

She has piloted the MIG-29 and now wants to fly the Russian built Sukhoi SU-30MKM which the Government purchased recently.

Royal Malaysian Air Force, US Made F/A 18D Hornet jet fighters (perhaps more advanced than the Russian built Sukhoi SU-30MKM jet fighters!!!)

Patricia was given the opportunity to get some hands-on experience with the MiG-29 'Fulcrum' in 1998, which she described as nerve-racking.

"Words couldn't describe it. It's normal to feel nervous, and I knew it was something I had to overcome if I really wanted to be a fighter jet pilot," she reminisced.

"After much practice and experience, I feel more confident now,"

"As far as I know, no woman has ever piloted the 'Flanker'. I hope I can be the first," said Patricia, the second of three siblings.

She also intends to become a qualified flying instructor. "When you are a pilot, you will be trained as an instructor and I'm looking forward to that. I'd like to share my experience with the younger generation and hope to see more women in this field in the future."

All the best Patricia....

the greatest jet fighter pilot in the world

His name is Colonel Giora "Hawkeye" Epstein.

He is retired after serving the Israeli Air Force (IAF) for 34 years (1963-1997).

Colonel Epstein was best remembered and best known for single handedly piloting his Mirage Five jetfighter and taking on 11 (eleven) Egyptian Air Force M-I-G 21-N jetfighters in the battle of Yom Kipur in 1973.

Colonel Giora is believed to have shot down more jet aircraft than any other pilot. Epstein was credited with 17 kills, all against Egyptian aircraft.

With 17 confirmed kills, Colonel Giora Epstein remains the world's top scoring jet fighter pilot making him the "ace of all aces".

Epstein was an active IAF pilot from 1963 until 1997, when he retired at age 59. He, like many retired IAF fliers, is currently a captain for El-Al airlines, Israeli National Airlines.

Epstein's first kill came on June 6, 1967 (during the Six Day War), when he downed an Egyptian Sukhoi-7 at El Arish.

During the War of Attrition in 1969-1970, Epstein downed a MiG-17, another Sukhoi-7 and two MiG 21s.

The rest of his kills came during 1973's Yom Kippur War. Over the course of three days (October 18-20, 1973), he downed an Mi-8 helicopter and eight jets: two Sukhoi-7s, two Sukhoi-20s and four MiG 21s. Then, on October 24, 1973, Epstein downed three more MiG-21s west of the Great Bitter Lake.

8 of these victories came with Epstein at the controls of the French-built Mirage III, a delta wing fighter designed primarily as a high altitude interceptor.

His other 9 victories came in an I-A-I Nesher, an Israeli-built version of the Mirage V.

Epstein super skills include ability to see objects with his naked eyes as far as 24 miles. Normal people can only see as far as 12 miles. Therefore Epstein was blessed with "Radar Eyes"..!!!

A history of 2 Korean Air Flight 902 and 007

In 1978 and in 1983 respectively, two Korean Air civilian aircrafts were shot down by Soviet jet fighters for ilegally entering Soviet airspace and disobeying orders by Soviet authority to alter its flight paths.

In the 1978 incident, only 2 passengers out of 109 passengers and crews were killed.

However in the 1983 incident, all 269 passengers and crews on board were killed.

It was surprising why the trained Pilots of the 2 Korean Air flights failed to follow the correct flight paths and at the same time, disobeyed orders to change the flight course to avoid being shot down.

Korean Air Flight 902 (20 April 1978)

Artist's conception of KAL 902 flanked by 2 Soviet Sukhoi Su-15s jetfighters

Korean AirLines Flight 902 (KAL902, KE902) was the flight number of a civilian airliner shot down by Soviet fighters on April 20, 1978 near Murmansk, after it violated Soviet airspace and failed to respond to Soviet interceptors. Two passengers were killed in the incident. 107 passengers and crew survived after the plane made an emergency landing on a frozen lake.

The Boeing 707 aircraft piloted by Kim Chang Ky, left Paris, France on a course to Anchorage, Alaska, where it would refuel and proceed to Seoul, South Korea.

The plane flew north past the Canadian Forces Station Alert, located 400 miles from the North Pole.

It then corrected its course, flying south; not toward Anchorage located at 149°53′W, but in the opposite direction toward Murmansk at 33°5′E. The aircraft was not fitted with an inertial navigation system and the pilots failed to note the position of the sun, almost 180 degrees off from where it should have been.

According to the official Korean explanation, the pilots in their navigation calculations used the wrong sign of magnetic declination when converting between magnetic and true headings.

This caused the plane to fly in an enormous right-turning arc, which eventually caused the aircraft to fly north from Great Britain towards Iceland, arcing around Scandinavia and towards the Barents Sea into Soviet airspace.

Sukhoi Su-15 'Flagon' fighter jets were scrambled after the plane, which was identified as a military U.S. plane (RC-135, an aircraft that shares common ancestry with the 707, like many other U.S. military airplanes).

According to Soviet reports, the intruder repeatedly ignored commands to follow the interceptors. The Soviet airforce jetfighter Sukhoi, Su-15, pilot Capt. A. Bosov was ordered to shoot it down after trying to convince his superiors on the ground that the aircraft was not a military threat.

He fired a single rocket, causing heavy damage to part of the left wing and punctured the fuselage, causing rapid decompression and killing two of the 97 passengers.

After the hit the Korean Air 902 was still able to continue its flight. At 23:05, 40 minutes after the missile strike, it was finally forced by another Soviet Sukhoi jetfighters SU-15TM (piloted by Anatoly Kerefov) to land on the frozen Korpijärvi Lake, 250 miles south of Murmansk and 20 miles from the Finland border.

The 107 survivors were rescued by Russian helicopters.

The passengers were released after 2 days, while the crew were held for investigation and released after they made a formal apology.

The Korean pilots acknowledged that they deliberately failed to obey the commands of the Soviet interceptors. The Soviet Union invoiced Korea for $100,000 in caretaking expenses. The passengers were flown with a Pan Am B727 from Murmansk to Helsinki, Finland from which another Korean Air B707 took them to Seoul.

Korean Air Flight 007 (September 1, 1983)

Korean Air Lines Flight 007, also known as KAL 007 or KE007, was a Korean Air Lines civilian airliner shot down by Soviet jet interceptors on September 1, 1983 just west of Sakhalin island.

269 passengers and crew, including US congressman Lawrence McDonald, were aboard KAL 007; there were no survivors.

CIA map showing divergence of planned (dotted line) and actual flight paths

The Soviet Union stated it did not know the aircraft was civilian and suggested it had entered Soviet airspace as a deliberate provocation by the United States, the purpose being to test its military response capabilities, repeating the provocation of Korean Air Flight 902, also shot down by Soviet aircraft over the Kola Peninsula in 1978. The incident attracted a storm of protest from across the world, particularly from the United States.

Korean Air Lines flight KAL 007 was a commercial Boeing 747-230B jumbo jet, flying from New York City, United States to Seoul, South Korea.

It took off from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on August 31 carrying 240 passengers and 29 crew.

After refueling at Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska the aircraft departed for Seoul at 13:00 GMT (3:00 AM local time) on September 1.

KAL 007 flew westward and then turned south on a course for Seoul-Kimpo International Airport that took it much farther west than planned, cutting across the Soviet Kamchatka Peninsula and then over the Sea of Okhotsk towards Sakhalin, violating Soviet airspace more than once.

Soviet air defense units had been tracking the aircraft for more than an hour while it entered and left Soviet airspace over the Kamchatka Peninsula. Soviet aircraft had initially tried to contact the pilot of the aircraft by radio and by making visual contact.

When this failed, the pilot of the lead aircraft reported firing 120 rounds of tracer ammunition in four 30-round bursts and the pilot of KAL 007 still failed to respond.

The order to shoot down the airliner was given as it was about to leave Soviet airspace for the second time after flying over Sakhalin Island. It was probably downed in international airspace.

Soviet Sukhoi Su-15 "Flagon" interceptor.

The lead aircraft of two Sukhoi Su-15 Flagon jetfighter interceptors scrambled from Dolinsk-Sokol airbase fired two air to air missiles around 18:26 GMT, and shot down KAL 007.

The airliner crashed into the sea north of Moneron Island, killing all on board.

Initial reports that the airliner had been forced to land on Sakhalin were soon proved false.

Transcripts recovered from the airliner's cockpit voice recorder indicate that the crew were unaware that they were off course and violating Soviet airspace (at the end they were 500 kilometers west of the planned track).

Just prior to being attacked, the 747 had been cruising at an altitude around 35,000 feet. After the missile strike, KAL 007's tail was pushed downward which at the same time lifted its nose causing a brief altitude gain before the aircraft began to descend from 18:26 until recording ceased at 18:27:46.

Capt. Chun was able to turn off the autopilot (18:26:46) and it is unknown whether he was able to regain any measure of control as the aircraft spiraled toward the ocean around 5 miles (8 km) below after the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder stopped functioning.

To all the perished passengers and crews of KAL Flight 902 and 007 - Rest in Peace...
