Joyous Hari Raya Aidil Fitri in Malaysia, 30th August 2011

1 Syawal 1432 Hijrah or the first day of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri falls on Tuesday, 30th August 2011 in Malaysia.

Hari Raya is a celebration to mark the end of the one month fasting month during Ramadhan.

It is a double celebration of joy in Malaysia, as the nation celebrates its 54th independence day anniversary which falls on 31st August 2011.

Muslims throughout the country celebrated Aidilfitri in a joyous atmosphere with family and friends, since early morning, right till night.

They performed prayers at mosques, which is the first thing to do in the morning before hosting "open house" at home for their relatives and friends of various backgrounds and faiths.

The celebrations were truly in One Malaysia spirit as people of all races thronged their friends open house as well as those hosted by dignitaries.

Many Muslims here had returned to their hometowns and villages to celebrate the festival, leaving many major towns in Malaysia such as Kuala Lumpur, deserted and vacant.

However those who stayed back attended prayers in the city and held open house as well.

The Malaysian King, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin performed Aidilfitri prayers at the National Mosque, along with 15,000 fellow Muslims.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and his wife Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman, and several Cabinet ministers and foreign diplomats also performed prayers at the mosque.

The prayers were led by the grand imam of the mosque, Tan Sri Syaikh Ismail Muhammad and the "khutbah" or sermon was delivered by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.

After the prayers, members of the congregation took the opportunity to shake hands with Tuanku Mizan, Najib and Muhyiddin.

Tuanku Mizan and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah then held open house at the Istana Negara.

Hari Raya celebration in various parts of Malaysia including Sabah, Sarawak, Johor and Pahang also held in joyous and gracious atmosphere.

Easy Comes Easy Goes wishes you a Happy Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, Salam Lebaran and 1 Syawal, Maaf Zahir Batin.

This is a very popular Hari Raya Song in Malaysia, first heard on national TV in 1986.

Dayron Robles disqualified in 110m hurdles at the 2011 IAAF World Championship in Daegu, Korea

Side by side. 2 Olympic champions in action. The 2004 Olympic champion and 2007 world champion and former world record holder (12.88 seconds), China's Liu Xiang (left) with the 2008 Olympic Champion and current world record holder (12.87 seconds), Dayron Robles of Cuba in the final of the eagerly awaited 110 metres hurdles at the 2011 IAAF World Athletics Championship in Daegu, South Korea on 29th August 2011. However, to the surprise of the world, none of these two won the gold medal.

At the finishing line, Liu Xiang finished 3rd, Robles initially finished in gold medal position but was later disqualified after unintentionally holding or pulling Liu Xiang's left hand at the last and final hurdle during the race. Instead unheralded and lowly-rated USA's hurdler, Jason Richardson,(top at the picture above in lane 3) won the gold medal after Robles disqualification.

Here, it can be seen that Robles right hand made contact with Liu Xiang's left hand. The fatal attractions between these 2 men cost the Chinese superstar and the Cuban super-sprinter the gold medal and the title as world 110 metres hurdles world champion.

Video above showed clearly how Liu Xiang tumbled at the last and final hurdle causing him to lost his balance and the gold medal. Liu Xiang was accelerating fast and should have won the gold medal. Liu Xiang very rarely hits the hurdles in any of his races.

As a result of the contact, Robles was stripped of his gold medal pending an inquiry and after the Chinese camp lodged an official protest.

American Jason Richardson, who finished second behind Robles was installed as world champion and gold medalist with the Chinese handed silver pending the investigation into the race, which might be re-run, according to the governing IAAF.

Robles, the 24-year-old world record holder and 2008 Olympic champion, made contact with Liu at least twice on his way to crossing the line first in 13.14 seconds.

Liu tripped on the last hurdle, a rarity for the 2004 Olympic Champion and 2007 world champion, and was only able to finish third in 13.27 behind Richardson, who finished in 13.16.

"Robles hit me twice, at the ninth hurdle he pulled at me but I'm sure it wasn't intentional," Liu told reporters.

"I lost my balance when I came to the 10th hurdle because of the bump. If not for the incident, I would been the gold medallist."

The pair embraced after the race but the Chinese team later lodged a protest resulting in Robles being disqualified and Richardson being handed the gold.

Britain's Andy Turner was awarded bronze.

"I wish that under different circumstances he could keep the medal but rules are rules," Richardson, 25, said.

"Anything can happen in track and field if you just do your best and stay in your lane.

"I am so thankful to be the gold medallist. I truly believe I can break Robles's world record (of 12.87 seconds)."

It was a disappointing end to the race for Liu, who was starting to return to his best form after 3 years of misery and injury since he limped out of the heats at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Robles, who has also had his fair share of injuries over the past couple of years, got away to a great start from lane 5 and raced to the lead over the first 5 hurdles.

Liu, next to him in lane 6, was gaining ground all the time, though, and looked like he was surging past the Cuban until the contact was made, allowing Robles and Richardson to beat him to the line.

"That's hurdling, it happens all the time, it just so happens that this time it happened to the two fastest hurdlers ever at the world championship," said 4 times world champion Allen Johnson, who described the contest as a "great, great race".

Huge disappointment too for American David Oliver, the fastest man this year with a personal best of 12.89 seconds was fifth and later upgraded to fourth, in 13.44 seconds.

Video of Usain Bolt's 100 metres disqualification at the 2011 IAAF World Athletics Championship

We know, only the Cheetahs in the African wilderness can beat the world's fastest man, Usain Bolt.

However, it was heartache for the 100 metres World and Olympic Champion and World Record Holder, Usain Bolt who was disqualified in the 100 metres men's final at the 2011 IAAF World Athletics Championship in Daegu, South Korea.

Bolt, the mercurial Jamaican who holds the current 100 metres world record at 9.58 secs, was disqualified after he false-started, that is off the starting block too soon before the starter gun exploded.

The incident stunned Daegu and stunned the world.

Why did this happened to the world's best athlete?

IAAF is stupid too for introducing the stupid new rules of disqualifying a runner for one false start. It should be disqualification after 2 false-starts as being practised in the past where 1 false start leads to caution and 2nd false start by the same sprinter or runner, leads to automatic disqualification and the runner has to leave the track.

Heart-ache for Usain Bolt for he trained hard for 2 years for this occasion, to defend his world title and possibly to shatter his own 100 metres world record but his dreams was over in split seconds.

After being asked to leave the track, Usain Bolt disappointment was clear, he was heard shouting loudly near the stadium's entrance.

He also argued with a Korean official who persisted in asking Bolt to leave the track immediately.

However, Bolt can still look forward to his other pet event, the 200 metres where he is also the reigning Olympic and World Champion and the World Record holder, 19.19 seconds set in the 2009 IAAF World Championship in Berlin.

In the subsequent 100 metres final race, Usain Bolt's Jamaican compatriot, Yohan Blake won the 100 metres race in 9.92 secs ahead of USA's Walter Dix and 2003 World 100 metres Champion, Kim Collins.

Well, Kim Collins led the race up to 70 metres before being overtaken by the super acceleration of Yohan Blake. Collins was pipped into 3rd place at the finishing line by Walter Dix.

The result is among the slowest 100 metres final ever seen in the history of the Olympics and the World championships. Only 1 runner, that is the winner Yohan Blake dipped below 10 seconds.

The full result of the poor 2011 IAAF world championship 100 metres men final in Daegu, South Korea

Gold - Yohan Blake Jamaica 09.92
Silver - Walter Dix United States 10.08
Bronze - Kim Collins Saint Kitts and Nevis 10.09 (2003 100m World Champ)
4th Christophe Lemaitre France 10.19 (European Champion)
5th Daniel Bailey Antigua and Barbuda 10.26
6th Jimmy Vicaut France 10.27
7th Nesta Carter Jamaica 10.95 (what the hell is this?? very slow)
8th Usain Bolt Jamaica (DISQUALIFIED)

Notable absentee - Tyson Gay - USA (personal best 9.69 secs, legal wind and 9.68 secs beyond legal wind limit, due to hip injury) and Asafa Powell (Jamaica) personal best 9.72 secs due to groin injury.

The best 100 metres race was the 1991 World Championship final in Tokyo, Japan where 6 runners dipped below 10 seconds and the first 2 finishers broke the world record.

The historic race was won by USA legendary sprinter and long jumper, Carl Lewis in then world record time of 9.86 seconds, erasing the old record of 9.90 secs set by USA's Leroy Burell.

Burell himself was second in 9.88 seconds, also erasing his old world record.

The 1991 IAAF World Championship, 100 metres full results, Amazing isn't it :

Gold - Carl Lewis (USA) 9.86 World Record
Silver - Leroy Burrell (USA) 9.88 World Record (previous world record holder)
Bronze - Dennis Mitchell (USA) 9.91 Personal Best
4th. Linford Christie (GBR) 9.92 European Record
5th. Frankie Fredericks (NAMIBIA) 9.95 African Record
6th. Raymond Stewart (JAMAICA) 9.96 Personal Best
7th. Robson Caetano da Silva (BRAZIL) 10.12
8th. Bruny Surin (CANADA) 10.14

Carl Lewis also set 2 world records in the 4 x 100 metres final and the long jump final. However despite registering a world record jump of 8.91 metres erasing Bob Beamon's 23 year old record of 8.90 metres in the Long Jump, Lewis still only managed second place for a silver medal silverware.

The champion was USA's Mike Powell who jumped 8.95 metres, a distance never been broken till this day, 29th August 2011, after almost 20 years.

That was the leap into the new century.

Another super-fast and super-charged 100 metres race was the 2009 IAAF World Championship 100 metres final in Berlin on 16th August 2009 where USA's Tyson Gay crossed the finishing line in a turbo-jet charged 9.71 seconds but still lost.

Infact the top 5 finishers in that race, ran below 10 seconds. Even the sprinters who finished in 6th and 7th place, ran an identical 10.00 seconds flat.

The race was won by none other than Usain Bolt who shook the world and temporarily stopped the earth on its axis, with a new world record of 9.58 seconds.

Prior to that historic race, the 9.58 seconds time was deemed impossible to be run by any human beings over the 100 metres distance.

Only the Cheetahs in the African wilderness can run as fast as that. I repeat, only the Cheetahs, the fastest mammals on this planet.

The full result of the super-fast 2009 World Championship race is as follows (infact all 8 starters had run the 100 metres under 10 seconds before) :

Gold Usain Bolt JAMAICA 9.58 (NEW WORLD RECORD)
Silver Tyson Gay USA 9.71 (USA NATIONAL RECORD)
Bronze Asafa Powell JAMAICA 9.84 (SEASON BEST)
4th Daniel Bailey ANTIGUA 9.93
5th Richard Thompson TRINIDAD 9.93 (SEASON BEST)
6th Dwain Chambers GREAT BRITAIN 10.00 (SEASON BEST)
7th Marc Burns TRINIDAD 10.00 (SEASON BEST)
8th Darvis Patton USA 10.34

Long Live Usain Bolt.

Rampant Liverpool beats Bolton 3-1, 27th August 2011

Liverpool is back at the top of the English Premier League when the Reds beat Bolton, 3-1 at home in Anfield, on Saturday 27th August 2011.

It was the second successive wins for Liverpool, the pride of Merseyside, after beating Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates on Saturday, 20th August 2011.

Liverpool first match for the 2011/2012 season ended with a 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

This 2 wins and 1 draw out of 3 games is very brilliant for a revitalised Liverpool squad, after a disastrous season opening matches last season.

Without top striker and Spanish World Cup winner, Fernando Torres who moved to Chelsea for 50 million pound sterling, last season, Liverpool finds a perfect replacement in the form of Uruguyan superstar striker, Luiz Suarez.

Suarez (picture above) is no ordinary striker, he is world class and at the same level if not better than Torres. Suarez reminds me of the great West Germany legendary striker, Gerd Muler nicknamed Der Bomber and the world's best player, Diego Maradona.

To me, Suarez has the qualities of Gerd Muller and Diego Maradona combined.

In the first 3 of Livepool matches, Suarez scored 2 great goals.

Suarez also helped his country, Uruguay winning the 2011 Copa America, disposing the likes of Brazil and Argentina en route to lifting the coveted title as South American best and champion!!

Suarez alongside Diego Forlan also helped Uruguay into the 2010 World Cup semifinal, losing to Holland in the last 4.

Well in the Liverpool vs Bolton match, Suarez again continues to be thorn inside the opponents defence.

Liverpool's opening goal came on 15 minutes when Jussi Jaaskelainen brilliantly denied Stewart Downing following a sublime Luis Suarez cross, but Bolton could not fully clear their lines and Jordan Henderson rifled an excellent finish into the top corner.

Any chance Bolton had of getting back into the game was snuffed out in the space of a couple of minutes in the second half as Liverpool extended their lead from one goal to three.

First it was Martin Skrtel who made it 2-0 with a powerful header from a corner on 52 minutes, before Charlie Adam fired in a low shot from the edge of the area for his debut goal for Liverpool since moving in from Blackpool.

Bolton grabbed a late consolation thanks to Ivan Klasnic but the final whistle blew moments later to leave Liverpool top of the table on goal difference ahead of Sunday's 28th August 2011 action.

The home team maintained a ferocious tempo from the kick-off with Suarez, preferred to Andy Carroll up front, at the heart of almost all their attacking play.

With another new player in Downing also influential, Liverpool looked a different proposition from the Roy Hodgson side which started the last campaign so sluggishly.

For Bolton defeat was a reality check after a promising start to the season.

With this win, Liverpool has won 2 out of 3 EPL matches, drawing one, scoring 6 goals against 2 with 7 points.

Long Live the REDS. YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE...

Views inside Muammar Gaddafi's fortified palace, Luxury.. Luxury.. Luxury

This is what Libya's leader, Muammar Gaddafi's palace looks like.

Previously this palace is off-limits to the public, nobody is allowed to enter.

However during the civil war in Libya, where Gaddafi's forces was defeated by the rebels, now we can see for ourselves what it is like in Gaddafi's housing compound.

These pictures are only limited version of what is actually in store in Gaddafi's well-fortified compund.

More pictures of the luxurious lifestyles of the self-styled Libyan ruler, will be revealed to the world soon.

We know that Libya is oil-rich, so we can assume that Gaddafi is more than a Billionaire.

Some estimated Gaddafi and his family to have asstes worth more than USD 100 Billion.

The U.S. alone has seized USD $30 billion (£18.5 billion) of Gaddafi's family investments, while Canada has frozen USD $2.4 billion (£1.5 billion), Austria has frozen USD $1.7 billion (£1 billion) and the UK froze USD $1 billion (600 million pound sterling).

Mathematically that works out to be USD 35.1 Billion in total assets of the Gaddafi family being frozen worldwide.

Among luxurious items that can be found inside Gaddafi's compound are :

- A Michael Jackson-style Neverland park, complete with fairground & zoo. Has old-fashioned carousel, with children’s seats on chains & roundabout installed with a cartoon-style teapot and spinning cups. Zoo's animals received from other African leaders.
- expensive murals & artwork
- rooms filled with replica 14th century furniture
- most bedrooms had huge attached bathrooms with bidets & sunken baths
- bedroom of adopted daughter Hana turned into shrine. She was only a few months old when she was killed in the 1986 US air raid.
- set of missiles "hung" from ceiling as though just fired from US fighter planes.
- home cinema
- table football
- 2,000-mile tunnel network underneath complex, which some believe lead all the way to Sirte, Gaddafi’s birthplace stronghold 200 miles to the east, and the location of a stockpile of 200 Scud missiles, many of them armed with chemical warheads.

Well, this is amazing, how did they built the 2,000 miles underground tunnel??

Utilising this tunnel, i think Gaddafi is now safe in someplace, far from the marauding Libyan rebels.

Long Live Libya..

Gaddafi bulit this Michael Jackson style park complete with playground and zoo.

Gaddafi's personal collections of expensive paintings and murals

That is a weird couch, isn't it??

Is this the place where Gaddafi swam while the bombs are exploding outside his compound??

Rebels rummaging through what is left in Gaddafi's fortified palace

Long Live Libya...!!!

Malaysian father jailed 80 years and receives 40 strokes of the cane for raping own daughter

A Father is supposed to protect his children, not rape them.

This is a shocking story of a Malaysian food stall operator who raped his own daughter 4 times.

And he did that in front of his own wife, in front of the victim's mother who tried to stop her husband but simply could not.

For that heinous crime, the sex-crazed father was jailed 80 years and ordered to be whipped 40 times by the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court, on February 2011.

The father of nine children did not show any reaction when the Sessions Court delivered the sentence, instead he pleaded for leniency..!!!

The 47-year-old man admitted to committing four counts of incest when he was produced before the judge.

According to the facts of the case, the victim, who is the fifth child of nine siblings, had stopped schooling after completing her Form Two and was staying home with her family.

He first raped his daughter in early November 2010.

The accused entered a room after the victim and her mother had completed cleaning the bedroom and closed the door. He then raped the 15-year-old girl in front of her mother, at about 4pm.

The girl's mother tried to stop him but was assaulted by the accused.

In mid-November 2010, the accused ordered the victim to touch his private parts while she and her mother were watching television in a room at 10pm. He raped her again in front of her mother, who ended up crying as she could not do anything to stop him.

At the end of December 2010, the accused forced the victim and her mother to fondle him and kiss his body before raping her again.

On Jan 23 2011, the accused raped the girl again when her mother was not at home.

Three days later on 26th January 2011, the accused told the victim's mother that he wanted to rape the girl and asked her to bring the girl to him at 9pm that night.

The mother then decided that enough is enough.

She summoned enough courage to ask the help of a neighbour to lodge a police report over the matter.

The police raided the house in Cheras and arrested the man the next day, 27th January 2011. The rape victim immediately lodged a police report over the incest.

Pleading for leniency in court on 2nd February 2011, the accused applied to the judge to consider that he had co-operated with the police and court over his offences.

"I am suffering from high blood pressure, gout and heart problems. I have to take medicine for blood thinning," he said in his mitigation.

Deputy public prosecutor Loon Jia Yin, however, applied for a deterrent sentence, saying the accused's actions were sinful and considered seriously by society.

She said the accused's actions had traumatised the victim and her family members as he had failed to play his role as a father and guide them in their life.

In sentencing, Judge Mohamad said he had to impose a deterrent sentence in view of public interest.

"You are supposed to give protection to your daughter as a father and not ruin her. You have spoilt her future. This will have an impact in her life forever," he said.

The judge ordered the accused to serve 20 years in jail and whipped 10 times for each of the four counts of incest.

The jail sentence is to run consecutively from the date of arrest on Jan 27, 2011.

This means the sex crazed father will spend 80 years in jail and receive 40 strokes of the cane.

He will only be out of jail when he is 127 years old, 80 years from now in the year 2091...!!!!

US$1.67mil reward for capture of Libya's Muammar Gaddafi, dead or alive 24th August 2011

A report from Benghazi today Wednesday, 24th August 2011 said Libyan businessmen are offering a two million dinar (US$1.67 million) reward for the capture of Muammar Gaddafi, dead or alive.

The rebel council says it supports the move, AFP reported.

Mustafa Abdel Jalil, the head of the Transitional National Council (NTC) said in Tripoli Wednesday, 24th August 2011 that "it supported the initiative of businessmen who are offering two million dinars for the capture of Muammar Gaddafi, dead or alive."

Abdel Jalil also offered amnesty to "members of (Gaddafi's) close circle who kill him or capture him."

The offer came as the rebels are closing in to all-out capture Tripoli after 6 months of civil war.

As the Rebels, assisted by NATO air strikes, entered Tripoli, the whereabouts of Gaddafi and his many sons are still a mystery.

The tactics to use money to capture the enemies are widely used since hundreds of years ago.

And it is very effective.

Iraq's Saddam Hussein was finally captured after a USD 25 million dollars bounty on his head was offered by the US Forces.

The same story goes to Al Qaeda's leader, Osama bin Laden who was shot dead in Abbottabbad, Pakistan on May 2nd, 2011.

Osama bin Laden also had a USD 25 million reward offer for his capture, dead or alive.

However the identities of the new millionaires who spilled the beans on the whereabouts of Saddam Hussein and bin Laden, remains a closely guarded secret for fear of reprisal.

Malaysian Home Minister, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein gets death threat, bullets in mail

Malaysian Police are investigating a death threat against Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein (picture above) after he received two bullets in the mail Wednesday, 24th August 2011, the Star online reported.

Hishammuddin said the bullets were found in a cut-out section of a book mailed to his office in Putrajaya, and discovered by a clerk at about 2pm.

"The bullets were accompanied by a handwritten note in Malay threatening my life," he told reporters during a breaking of fast ceremony in Pantai Dalam in Kuala Lumpur.

An unfazed Hishammuddin said he had received threats before but this was the first time a threat was accompanied by bullets.

He said he was not sure of the motive behind the threat, adding that he would not be intimidated but would continue to discharge his duties to ensure the peace and security of the nation.

The bullets and note were handed over to the police for investigations, Hishammuddin said.

Hishammuddin is the son of Malaysia's 3rd Prime Minister, the late Tun Hussein Onn.

As Home Minister, Hishammuddin portfolio's oversees the Malaysian Police as well as many other enforcement agencies such as the Immigration Department and the National Registration Department.

Currently, Malaysia is embarking on a massive registration exercise to register legal and illegal foreign workers since August 1, 2011.

The task is being undertaken by the Malaysian Immigration Department, assisted by various agencies.

Does this latest threat has anything to do with that exercise? We don't know.

Does this shows that the criminal syndicates in Malaysia are getting bolder to the extent that they dare to threaten the life of the Home Minister himself? We also don't know.

Let the Malaysian police handle this.
