All the best girl..

1. KEJOHANAN TERBUKA KOREA 2012 - 8 JANUARI 2012 - DATUK LEE CHONG WEI JUARA. RANGKUL HADIAH WANG TUNAI USD75,000 atau RM225,000.00!! CHONG WEI TEWASKAN LIN DAN 12-21, 21-18, 21-14 dalam masa 1 Jam 15 minit di final di Gimnasium Olimpik Seoul.

Rekod Chong Wei menentang Lin Dan kini 9-18.

SYABAS CHONG WEI, SYABAS MALAYSIA.

2. KEJOHANAN TERBUKA MALAYSIA 2012 - LEE CHONG WEI JUARA!!!

Bye Bye Lin Dan.

3. Final All England di Birmingham Indoor Arena, England. Ahad 11 Mac 2012.

Selaku Naib Juara, Chong Wei menang hadiah wang tunai USD11,200 bersaman RM33,600.00

Chong Wei terpaksa tarik diri akibat kecederaan bahu kanan yang menyaksikan pegawai perubatan kejohanan terpaksa melakukan semburan spray penahan sakit ketika perlawanan berlangsung.

Lee Chong Wei hopes to win elusive world title at the 2011 World Badminton Championship in London

Malaysia's world no.1 men singles badminton player, Lee Chong Wei, 28 hopes to win the elusive World Championship title on his sixth attempt when the competition gets underway in London from August 8 to August 14th, 2011.

Chong Wei has won everything that the world badminton has to offer except the World Championship title and the Olympic Gold.

His best performance in the World Championship was a semifinalist in the 2005 edition in Anaheim, California, USA where he was beaten by eventual winner and 2004 Olympics Champion, Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia. Taufik is also Chong Wei's close friend.

His worst performance in the World Championship was the 2007 edition in front of his home crowd in Kuala Lumpur where Chong Wei lost in the 3rd round to Indonesia's Sony Dwi Kuncoro.

In the 2010 World Championships held in Paris, Chong Wei again lost to Indonesian ace Taufik Hidayat in the quarterfinals and attributed his loss to a back injury.

Chong Wei also lost in the quarterfinal stage in the 2006 World Championship in Madrid and the 2009 World Championship in Hyderabad, India.

Malaysia came close to winning the World Championship men singles title in 2003 but Wong Choon Han lost to Xia Xuanze of China in the final in Birmingham, England.

Chong Wei feels he has a better chance of winning the World Championship title this year compared with his five previous outings, since he has been preparing well for the competition and would also arrive in Bath, London two weeks before the tournament to prepare.

"I feel more confident. This year I have won all the Super Series titles that I competed, except the Korea Open, and that gives me additional confidence and edge over the others.

"The training in Bath will also be good for us to get acclimatised with the weather conditions," he told the Malaysian media in Kuala Lumpur on 20th July 2011.

A glimpse of Lee Chong Wei's greatest moments.

In 2011, Chong Wei is in sizzling and unbeatable form.

He remains as the World number one since 2006 and won his seventh Malaysia Open title in January.

Chong Wei also won his second consecutive All England Open with a convincing straight games victory over his old nemesis and bogeyman, Lin Dan, who is the 2008 Olympic Champion and 3 time World Champion.

On Labour Day, Chong Wei won his first ever India Open and also his third consecutive Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold title a week later.

In late June 2011, he won the Indonesia Open, becoming the first non-Indonesian player to complete the hat-trick in the tournament.

Can Chong Wei win the 2011 World Championship?

Malaysia Can!! Malaysia Boleh!! GO CHONG WEI GO, MAKE MALAYSIA PROUD!!!

Namun dukanya apabila jurulatih Lee Chong Wei, Datuk Misbun Sidek mengumumkan perletakan jawatannya.

Saina Nehwal - pemain badminton no. 3 dunia dari India

Namun, Caroline bukan tandingan Saina yang kini pemain no. 3 dunia. Saina menang set kedua 21-2.

Thomas Cup 2010, China won 4th crown in a row

As expected, mighty China won the 2010 Thomas Cup, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, beating arch rival Indonesia 3-0 in the final, held today Sunday, 16 May 2010.

It is China 4th straight Thomas Cup, winning the coveted trophy 8 times since 1982.

The Great Wall of China remains firm and strong.

Chen Jin gave China their fourth Thomas Cup crown in a row when he overcame Indonesia’s Simon Santoso in the second singles to win the third point for the 3-0 win at the Putra Stadium.

Lin Dan jubilates after beating Taufik Hidayat

China led 1-0 after 3 time world champion and 2008 Olympic champion, Lin Dan overpowered former world champion and 2004 Olympic Champion, Taufik Hidayat 21-7, 21-14 in the first singles. Taufik Hidayat gave his best, but could only get 7 points in the 1st set.

In the second set, Taufik tried his very best to match Lin Dan but had to contend with only 14 points as the Chinese ace swept through with powerful display of smashes, cross courts and deceptive shots, much to the delight of the crowd and millions more watching live on TV around the world.

The second match, pitted the current men's doubles World champion against the current men's doubles Olympic champion!!!

2006 and 2009 world champion and 2008 Olympic silver medalist, Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng finally outlasted 2008 Olympic Champion and 2007 world champion, Markis Kido-Hendra Setiawan 25-23, 16-21, 21-12. The Indonesian pair nearly delivered the 1st point for their country in the 1st set, but the Chinese pair held their breath and composure and finally won the breath taking 1st set, 25-23.

In the 2nd set, Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan upped their tempo and won 21-16. However in the deciding game, Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng showed why they are the top badminton doubles team in the world by dispatching the Indonesian pair, 21-12.

Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng rejoices after beating Markis Kido - Hendra Setiawan

At 2-0 in favour of China, it was up to Chen Jin to wrap up the third vital point.

And the 2008 All-England winner, 2008 Olyimpic bronze medalist, 2009 world championship runners-up and world no 4, did not disappoint.

After losing the first set 19-21, he bounced back to win the second set 21-17 and then the third set 21-7 to give China their fourth crown on a trot and eighth overall.

After his win against Taufik Hidayat, Lin Dan said “I am not a class above the rest,”.

Lin Dan who is China’s three-time world champion, destroyed Indonesia's former Olympic and world champion Taufik Hidayat 21-7, 21-14 to clinch the all important first point for the defending champions in the Thomas Cup final.

The packed Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil saw Lin Dan at his best, leaving Taufik dazed with his all round superiority after a string of disappointing results before coming to Kuala Lumpur.

The first set lasted only 17 minutes as the Chinese ace raced to a 6-0 lead before Taufik got his first point in the game.

By the time the score reached 11-1, it was one-way traffic all the way as Lin Dan wrapped up the set in style.

Taufik did offer some resistance in the second set but there was no stopping Lin Dan.

With the score at 7-5 in his favour, Lin Dan stepped on the pedal and easily went on to take the set and match at 21-14 in 43 minutes.

Lin Dan seemed to tell the crowd 'who else but me' each time he scored a point with his outstretched hands much to the delight of the Chinese supporters.

“I am tired, very tired. I hope to change my economy class ticket to first class when we return home tonight,” said Lin Dan.

“I am happy to have got the chance to play (Lee) Chong Wei and Taufik and beating them both. They are two of the best players in the world. Chong Wei is still the most difficult player to play against.

“Today, we (Taufik and myself) tried to win the first point for our country. It was our responsibility to get the first point and I won.

“I put in a lot of effort in my win but I must say that I am not a class above the rest as many have made out. Chong Wei, Taufik and Peter (Gade Christensen) are at the same level.

“We have players like Chen Jin, Bao Chunlai and Chen Hong in the next group.”

When asked about his coach Tang Hsien Hu, whom he hugs first after each match, Lin Dan said: “Tang is a legend. He is like a grandfather to me. He is an expert whose techniques and badminton skills are second to none.”

Tang has somewhat revived Lin Dan’s career after a poor start to the season when he was beaten in the All England and the Swiss Open before winning the Asian Badminton Championships in New Delhi before coming to Kuala Lumpur.

Lin Dan’s next tournament is the inaugural Professional League in China which begins at the end of this month.

“We want to make this league very successful. I hope the foreign players will compete in this league,” added Lin Dan

Korean women won Uber Cup for the 1st ever time

South Korean women made history in world badminton when they beat mighty China 3-1 in the 2010 Uber Cup final in Stadium Putra, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, today, Saturday 15 May 2010.

This is the first time ever that Korea won the prestigious tournament - known as the World Cup or World Championship of women badminton.

To make it sweet, they made it after defeating the great wall of China. The mighty Chinese women team won the Uber Cup 11 times since 1984, including 6 times in a row since 1998.

Korea has never won Uber Cup, they came close of winning it 5 times, but each time, ended up in despair, beaten by China in the final of the 1988, 1990, 1992, 2002 and 2004 Uber Cup final.

Before the famous Korean win in 2010, only 4 nations have ever lifted the Cup, the USA, Japan, Indonesia and of course China who dominated the badminton world since the 1980s.

This win maybe equals South Korea's historic campaign in the 2002 soccer World Cup, where they qualified all the way to the semifinal stage - beating the likes of world football super-powers - Portugal, Italy and Spain. Korea was finally beaten by Germany 0-1 in the semifinal. It was the first time ever that an Asian team, progressed into the semifinal of any World Cup tournament.

In the Uber Cup today, South Korean women showed tremendous fighting spirit and gritty display to finally dispose China's long time reign as undisputed Queen of world Women Badminton.

Bae Seung Hee of Korea jubilates after her epic 23-21, 21-11 win over world no.1 Wang Yihan of China in the 1st match of the 2010 Uber Cup final.

In the 1st match, unheralded and virtually unknown, world no. 16, Bae Seung Hee, against all odds beat world no. 1 and 2009 All England champion, Wang Yihan 23-21, 21-11, to start Korea's glorious and historic triumphant night. The match will be long remembered by Koreans as the start of the cracking of the Great Wall of China. Scoreline, Korea 1-0 China.

In the 1st doubles match, the scoreline was further 2-0 in favour of Korea when underdogs Lee Hyo Jung/Kim Min Jung unexpectedly beat world no. 1 Ma Jin/Wang Xiaoli 21-18, 12-21, 21-15.

In the 3rd match, world no. 2 Wang Xin of China knows she must beat Sung Ji Hyun, to keep China's title hope alive. And she did it, beating Ji Hyun 21-14 in the 1st set, before getting a fright in the 2nd set when Wang Xin went down 16-21. However in the deciding set, Wang Xin, the sweet girl prevailed 21-7. Thus keeping China's hope alive, albeit briefly and temporarily.

Korea clinched the 2010 Uber Cup in the 4th match of the final pitting their 2nd doubles, Lee Hyung Won/Ha Jung Eun against the 2008 Olympic Champion Du Jing and Yu Yang.

The Chinese pair won the 1st set 19-21 but lost the next 2 sets 21-14, 21-19. Korea won the Uber Cup for the first time ever. Hyung Won and Jung Eun were mobbed and hugged to the ground by their overjoyed team-mates. Millions more Korean watching on TV worldwide, jubilates!!!

Bravo Korea... Sorry China...

Chong Wei is in his best form, having won all 3 super series tournament he took part this year - the 2010 Malaysian Open, the 2010 Korean Open and the 2010 All England Championship. Syabas and bravo Chong Wei.

Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif/Hoon Thien How lost to Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen 26-24, 12-21, 19-21; Zakry partnered Hoon Thien How after the disastrous outing against Japan, the day before in the group stage. At the Japan-Malaysia match, Zakry partnered Fairuzizuan Tazari and lost in 2 games to the Japanese doubles. Fairuzizuan lost his cool and made a hand gesture towards the crowd. This time, Hoon Thien How and Zakry fought gallantly for over 1 hour against the current and reigning All England Champion before conceding defeat. It was a tough tough match. Bravo Thien How and Zakry.

Muhd Hafiz Hashim defeated Joachim Persson 21-12, 21-10. Hafiz finally delivered for Malaysia when it matters most. Hafiz won easily, much to the delight of the home crowd. Hafiz, the 2002 Commonwealth Games Champion and 2003 All England champion, has the right bulid as world leading badminton player - his 6 feet 2 inches height and reach and wide array of strokes and shots. But he has the penchant of failing to win at the highest level and when it mattered most. Bravo Hafiz. Make sure you win against Bao Chun Lai.

Bravo Malaysia, Bravo Malaysia, Bravo Malaysia....... Please repeat the 1992 feat when Malaysia won the 1992 Thomas Cup in Kuala Lumpur.

That year, Rashid Sidek, Foo Kok Keong, Razif-Jalani Sidek and Cheah Soon Kit-Soo Beng Kiang, made Malaysia proud and number 1 badminton nation in the world.

Malaysia beat Indonesia 3-2 in that final, ending a 25 year wait. In the earlier semifinal match, Malaysia disposed mighty China.
