Supermodel Amber Chia’s husband is her manager and business partner, Adrian Wong.

The newly-weds met journalists in Kuala Lumpur on March 30th, 2010 to reveal the identity of “Mr Amber Chia”, after keeping mum on the issue since their wedding in Bali, Indonesia, on 25 March 2010.

Wong, 36, has two children from a previous marriage.

“We decided to come out because we want people to stop speculating,” Chia told The Daily Chilli.

“We don’t want things to go out of control. We’re sorry if we shocked a lot of people, including our own friends, but we’re just two people in love who would like to keep things private,” the Malaysian supermodel said apologetically.

“We were looking for a more appropriate time to make it public. Please understand that he’s not a celebrity and he’s not used to the limelight like I am,” Chia added.

On accusations from some parties that she was a “home-wrecker”, Chia said: “Never. By the time I got to know Adrian and eventually fall in love with him, he was officially divorced from his wife.”

Wong, a business graduate from Melbourne University, spent 10 years in Australia and was the founder and director of Absolute Entertainment, the event management company responsible for bringing the Pussycat Dolls and Andy Lau to Malaysia.

He currently has business interests in Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Wong popped the question five-and-a-half months ago after courting Chia for a year and a half.

Saling mengenali sejak enam tahun lalu, Adrian, duda beranak dua, dikatakan telah melamarnya kira-kira lima bulan lalu. Dalam pertemuan itu juga, Amber turut meluahkan hasratnya untuk bergelar ibu sebelum usia 30 tahun.

According to the Daily Chilli website, it was confirmed by Amber's confidante that the 28-year-old hot lass has said “I do” to her long-time friend-turned-boyfriend.

No, he is not the married businessman that she was once maliciously accused of dating. Or the old banker Tan Sri that she was rumoured to be seeing.

“Amber believes in true love,” said the source.

“She doesn’t believe that money can buy her love.

“This guy - who is just a regular businessman is genuinely nice and he really loves her for who she is.

“They’ve known each other for a long, long time. He’s a very shy guy.”

Their top secret union was solemnised in Bali last Thursday.

“It was a romantic beach wedding,” revealed the insider.

Among Amber’s most trusted celebrity friends who flew in to Bali to witness the super private wedding were TV personality Daphne Iking, violinist Dennis Lau and catwalk guru, Benjamin Toong, the website said.

The East-meet-West ceremony was also witnessed by close family members from both sides, who were flown to the Indonesian island by the couple.

When contacted via SMS, a discreet Amber, who is back in Malaysia and will fly overseas for her honeymoon in an undisclosed location soon, had only got this to say:
