On 24th August 2011, would-be flight attendants in South Korea have accused Indonesia's national airline, Garuda of making them strip nearly naked and have their breasts handled in medical check-ups, provoking a storm of criticism.

Several dozen candidates for 18 highly-coveted female flight attendant positions with Garuda Indonesia were required to strip down to their panties to screen out those with tattoos or breast implants.

One applicant told that story to the international Press Agency, AFP.

She declined to be named, saying she was still waiting to hear whether she had got a job after the tests last July 2011.

"The hand examination on breast was held since those with implants can have health issues when air pressure falls during flights," Yonhap news agency quoted an airline official as saying.





Cabin crew are banned from having tattoos and workers hired in other countries such as Japan and Australia were also subject to a similar process, the agency quoted the official as saying.

Garuda Indonesia's Seoul office denied part of the accusation, saying job applicants did not have to remove their bras and its staff only "lightly tapped (the) upper side of their breasts."

"Those who passed the medical checkup said they felt no shame in the process," the firm said in a statement, adding it was common for airlines to check if job seekers had tattoos or body implants.

But the move baffled industry peers and angered women's rights groups, which called the process unnecessary and intrusive.

Kim Da-Mi, a Seoul-based activist with the Sexual Violence Relief Centre, urged the state human rights agency to take action, telling AFP: "I wonder if such a practice is acceptable in Indonesia."

Indonesia has the world's largest Muslim-majority population.

"We've never heard of or done such checkup on flight attendants," said a spokesman for South Korea's flag carrier Korean Air, calling the Jakarta-based airline's tests "bizarre".

"I wonder if that means passengers with breast implants should not fly also," he told AFP.

Competition for flight attendant jobs is fierce in South Korea, where the role is seen as offering high pay and travel opportunities, and thousands of young women prepare for years before applying for vacancies.

Well, why Garuda?? The Airlines is banned from travelling to most part of the world including Europe and Asian countries, because of strict security and safety measures being implemented by the world aviation body.

This has something to do with air disasters and plane crashes involving Garuda airlines in recent years.



The shocking video above shows a Boeing 737-400 aircraft operated by Garuda Indonesia Flight 200, moments after it crashed and burst into flames at a paddy field, while attempting to land at Adisucipto International Airport on March 7, 2007 while flying from Jakarta to Yogyakarta. Due to pilot error, the aircraft overshoot the runaway.

This exclusive footage was recorded by an Australian cameraman working for Seven Network who was among the passengers of the ill-fated flight. The Australian cameraman were among a number of Australian media members covering the official visit of then Australian Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer.

The flight was carrying 133 passengers and 7 crews.

21 passengers and 1 crew member were killed; among those killed were Australian Federal Police agents Brice Steele and Mark Scott, Australian Embassy staffers Liz O'Neill (public relations officer) and Allison Sudradjat (Minister Counsellor and Senior Representative of AusAID), and Australian Financial Review newspaper journalist Morgan Mellish.

Both the captain and the first officer survived and were admitted to an Indonesian military hospital.

The pilot, Captain Muhammad Marwoto Komar, claimed that there was a sudden downdraft immediately before the flight landed, and that the flaps on the aircraft may have malfunctioned.

On 11 April 2007, Indonesia's National Safety Transport Committee released a preliminary finding into the crash, confirming that Garuda Flight 200 was travelling at around 410 km/h - almost twice the normal speed - when it came in to land.

A Garuda Pilots' Association official has speculated that the captain could have been trying to save fuel due to a new fuel conservation bonus scheme recently introduced by Garuda Airlines.

On October 22, 2007, the official enquiry blamed the crash on pilot error. The captain ignored the plane’s automated warning system as it sounded alarms 15 times. He also ignored calls from the co-pilot to go around and make another approach.

On 4 February 2008 the captain of flight 200, Marwoto Komar, was arrested and charged with 6 counts of manslaughter.

The co-pilot testified that he had told the captain to go around for a second landing attempt, because of excessive speed, but was ignored.

On 6 April 2009, the captain was found guilty of negligence and sentenced to 2 years in jail.

Despite all evidence pointing towards severe pilot error, the captain's conviction was quashed by the Indonesian High Court on September 29, 2009 and i don't know wether Captain Marwoto Komar is back flying aircrafts!!!

Since 1950, Garuda Indonesia airlines has had 14 major accidents.

The managing director of the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation, Peter Harbison, stated that the major accidents in Indonesian aviation history were all caused by the combinations of airports' and fleets' low safety standards and the poor weather conditions in the area, including severe thunderstorms and other forms of inclement weather.

If found guilty, they are liable to a fine of RM10,000 or jailed five years or both.

The matter is brought to court following police investigation into a report lodged by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who had claimed that he was not the man in the video.

“Let the law takes its course, and hopefully the truth will be revealed,” said Eskay.

Shuib, who was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, 21st Jun 2011 said the public deserve to know the truth.

“We leave it to the court to decide, but our conscience is clear as we exposed the existence of the video in the interest of the nation,” he said.

The police had sought the help of local and foreign experts to verify the identity of the man in the video.

Rahim said the police have already verified the authenticity of the video and the identity of the man in the video.

“The finding should be revealed in the interest of the public,” he said.

The woman, who is a sales coordinator, said she found out about her husband's affair after giving birth to her youngest son.

“He was having an affair with a local woman then. But I chose to forgive him after he terminated the relationship with the woman,” she said, adding that he then had an affair with the Chinese national.

She said she was willing to divorce him on condition that he continued to pay the children's education fees and living expenses as well as the house and car loans.

Taiwanese man fled from his sex-crazed wife!!!

A Taiwanese man fled to the police, pleading for help against his sex maniac and sex enthusiastic wife.

'World's largest paedophile ring' uncovered - 16th March 2011

On 16th March 2011, the BBC reported that international police led by a UK team managed to shut down the largest internet paedophile ring ever discovered after 3 years of painstaking investigations.

The global forum boylover.net had 70,000 followers at its height, leading to 4,000 intelligence reports being sent to police across 30 countries.

The operation has so far identified 670 suspects and 230 abused children.

Detectives say 184 people have been arrested - 121 of them were in the UK. Some 60 children have been protected in the UK.

The three-year investigation, Operation Rescue, was led by investigators from the UK's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (Ceop).

Speaking at a news conference at The Hague in the Netherlands 16th March 2011, investigators said the network hid behind a legal online forum which operated out of the country - but its members came from around the world.

Along with the Netherlands and the UK, suspects have been identified in Australia, Italy, Canada, New Zealand and Thailand.

The members of the network went into a private channel, boylover.net, and then used its secret systems to share films and images of abused children, said Rob Wainwright, director of European police agency Europol.

However, child abuse investigators, including a team from Ceop, had already infiltrated the network and were posing as paedophiles to gather intelligence.

The suspects are ordinary people with ordinary jobs and are very unusual suspects. In short they are unsuspecting suspects!!

In the UK, the 240 suspects even include police officers, teachers and a karate teacher.

One of the suspects in the UK is a woman.

The latest arrest was in Northamptonshire.

To date, 33 have been convicted, including John McMurdo, a scout leader from Plymouth.

Another forum user was Stephen Palmer, 54, of Birkenhead, who shared abuse images with contacts in the United States.

A third man, 46-year-old Colin Hoey Brown of Bromsgrove, was jailed for making and distributing almost 1,000 images.

Deranged Malaysian man, attacking women in hot pants

A deranged and sexually defunct middle-aged Malaysian man has been attacking women wearing short pants in Johor Baru, south of Malaysia, Malaysian newspaper, reported.

The 48-year-old claimed that such attire were meant to seduce him.

The man would also spit on any woman with short pants, including children, the media reported.

It added that he had been behaving strangely in the past few years.

The man's female neighbour lodged a police report on Saturday, 5th March 2011 after the man tried to attack her with a wooden stick while she was in her kitchen.

The woman, 44, said the man tried to attack her although she was wearing jeans during the 1.30pm incident on that day.

The paper said when policemen approached the man, he claimed that he was gay and that he hated women wearing short pants.

When asked why, he told them they were trying to seduce him.

Army men remanded for gang rape

KUCHING, Sarawak, 19 March 2010: Four army personnel were remanded for seven days for allegedly gang raping an 18-year-old girl in a hotel here last week.

The four suspects, aged between 20 and 24, allegedly raped the girl on March 14.

The victim, believed to have been traumatised, lodged a police report only two days later.

Magistrate Dayang Roselind allowed Central police station’s application to remand the suspects until March 26 to facilitate their investigation.

The case is classified under Section 376 of the Penal Code that carries a maximum penalty of 20 years jail, fine and caning.


Student flees when fifth man tried to rape her

SANDAKAN, Sabah 16 March 2010 : A secondary school student was allegedly gang-raped after she was dragged into a car while waiting at a bus stop at Taman Fajar.

Sandakan deputy police chief Supt Fadzil Mohd Ali said that a Proton Saga with six men inside stopped at the bus stop at 9pm on Saturday, and forced the 19 year-old student into their car.

They purportedly brought her to an unnumbered house at Taman Mutiara and allegedly took turns to rape her.

The victim claimed that she managed to escape as the fifth man tried to rape her.

Supt Fadzil said the victim then called the police at 3.55am on Sunday.

A police team picked her up and sent her to the hospital.

Police launched a hunt for the suspects.

JOHOR BARU, Johor, 12 March 2010 : A 15-year-old student who left home to visit a friend that she met through a social networking website, was held captive for several days and gang-raped by at least 15 teenagers in an apartment.

Police rescued the girl, who has a hearing disability, following a tip-off from an alert neighbour, who noticed young men frequenting the flat until the early hours of the morning in Ulu Tiram several days ago.

Subsequent police operations led to the arrest of at least six teenagers.

It is learnt that the girl had befriended a teenager through a website recently and agreed to meet up with him.

She followed him to his apartment where she was held captive and raped by the youth and his 14 buddies over a span of several days.

It is learnt that the girl was told that she would be harmed if she did not give in to their demands.

Police found the victim locked in the apartmentand sent her to the hospital for a medical examination.

Sri Alam OCPD Supt Roslan Zainuddin, when contacted yesterday confirmed the incident.

“We have so far arrested six men in connection with the case,” he said, adding that the suspects had been remanded.


College student claims raped by foreign friends

PETALING JAYA, Selangor, 11 March 2010, : A college student, who was invited by her three foreign friends to their Flora Damansara apartment, was allegedly raped and locked in their apartment.

The student, who had a cellular phone, managed to contact her friends who rushed to the unit where they found her crying.

OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said her friends contacted the police who arrived within minutes and arrested the three foreigners.

“The three are being detained at the district police headquarters to assist in investigations.

“The 24-year-old victim was sent to hospital and we are waiting for the medical report to ascertain if she was raped,” he said, adding that the suspects were all students in their 20s.


Teen raped by 15 men

IPOH: A 15-year-old student was gang-raped by 15 men in Sungai Klah in Sungkai, about 84km from here.

The girl was first raped by five men at a hot spring site at about 6.30pm on Feb 28.

“She was forced by a man known only as ‘Wan’ to follow him to the hot springs, where four others were waiting,” said Tapah OCPD Super­intendent Roslan Bek Ahmad.

There, the five men took turns to rape the girl.

One of the men was told to send the girl back after the incident.

However, he took the girl to an empty house in Felda Sungai Klah, near the hot springs, where 10 others were waiting.

The girl was repeatedly raped and kept at the house.

The next day, she was sent to the Sungai Kruit bus station where her godbrother picked her up and sent her home.

The girl related her ordeal to her mother who took her to lodge a report at the Sungkai police station.

Supt Roslan Bek said police detained two suspects, aged 15 and 29, in Sungkai at about 1am yesterday.

He is confident that police would round up the others soon.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 16 March 2010: A husband’s erectile problem has led to a painful four years for a housewife who was forced to have sex with over 50 foreigners while he directed and filmed them.

The 61-year-old woman said her husband would recruit the men from nearby rubber estates and supervise her on the various moves and positions while he recorded it on video.

He would also assault her if she refused to consent to the acts.

She kept silent about the abuses as she did not want her aged and ill parents to worry about her.

However, recently she could no longer withstand the “crazy acts” of her 66-year-old retiree husband and ran away from her home in Sarawak on March 6.

She then sought the help of MCA Public Services and Complaints Department chief Datuk Michael Chong yesterday.

The woman, identified only as Chia, said she married the widower, who was from the same village as her, 12 years ago.

“He treated me well and loved me very much until he had erection problem four years ago,’’ she said.

Chia said since then, he began recruiting foreign workers, mostly Indonesians, from nearby rubber estates to have sex with her.

In return, the husband would buy the workers beer or pay their handphone bills.

“He wanted to see me having sex with other men. He would tell me what styles he wanted for that day and record our acts,’’ she told a press conference at the department yesterday.

She said he had even pressed her to have sex with multiple partners but she refused.

“In the beginning, he only wanted me to do it once a month but eventually, he became very aggressive and got me at least five men a month for the past two years,” she added.

She is currently seeking shelter at a friend’s home in the peninsula.

“I am very scared and do not want to go home,’’ she said, adding that she was also worried that he would make the “films” public.

Chong said he would help Chia to seek legal advice on the matter.

The Star newspaper reported that a temporary teacher with a secondary school in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia was almost fooled into having sex with her colleague after he pretended to be an undercover special health officer researching “diseases affecting female teachers.”

The teacher - known only as Hani, 24, said the teacher had told her that his research comprised three phases, the first of which would require her to answer questions on the size of her breasts and waist.

She would then be required to get intimate with the teacher in the second phase and finally, have sex with him under the third phase, which was also a “weight test”.

Hani alleged that she had signed an agreement as well as a confidentiality form to participate in the study after the teacher approached her in March.

The “study” then moved onto the next phase, in which Hani said she was told to go to an empty classroom.

“In the classroom, he hugged me from behind before performing other sexual acts on me,” she said, adding that she pushed the man away after suspecting something was amiss.

“The next phase was even worse when he asked me to have sex with him,” she said, claiming that during this time, the teacher was stark naked and getting ready to film the sex romp.

“Frightened, I then fled from the classroom,” said Hani.

Since that day, Hani alleged the teacher has been harrassing her through phone messages, asking her for money as “penalty” for not completing the study and claiming that she could be “sued” by the Education Ministry.

The man even claimed that the Public Services Department could take action against her and her other family members serving in the Government.

“I lodged a police report on Aug 18 after I could no longer take his harassment. I have also filed a complaint with both the Health and Education Ministries and the department,” said Hani.

She said she also believed that the teacher had “conned” other victims in the school but that they were reluctant to come forward.

The teacher was subsequently remanded for seven days before being released and is said to be still teaching in the same school.

State education director Datuk Abdullah Muhamad confirmed the case was still under investigation and the matter would be brought up to the ministry.
