The Duke of York, Prince Andrew flew with Air Asia

The Duke of York, Prince Andrew, flew with AirAsia, the World’s Best Low Cost Airline, on Thursday, 20 May 2010.

The Duke took AirAsia Flight AK 721 from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore with AirAsia Group CEO Dato’ Sri Dr. Tony Fernandes.

The Duke also visited the AirAsia Academy , the airline’s state-of-the-art training center, and the AirAsia offices at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal.

The Duke of York, Prince Andrew, 50, or his full name Albert Christian Edward is the second son and third child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Duke of York, is also the United Kingdom special representative for international trade and investment.

His Majesty attended the just concluded World Islamic Economic Forum, in Kuala Lumpur.

Also today, AirAsia was named the World’s Best Low Cost Airline again.

More than 17.9 million travelers voted in a global survey conducted by London-based research company Skytrax and named AirAsia as the world’s best.

This is the second year in a row for AirAsia to win the prestigious award.
