Congratulations to Malaysian UPSR Students.
According to the Ministry of Education, 46,012 students out of 497,691 candidates for UPSR 2011, obtained 5As.
And this year's Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) results are the best of the past four years.
Education director-general
Datuk Seri Abd Ghafar Mahmud said the achievement was based on the Average National Grade (GPN) of the candidates' results.
Of the 485,160 candidates who sat for the examinations, 269,021 had good scores with a minimum Grade C (not including straight A scorers).
"However, the number of straight A scorers reduced this year, from 10.02% in 2010 to 9.48% (46,012 candidates) in 2011.
"The percentage of candidates who scored below minimum achievement (those with grades D, E, or both) also decreased from 3.39% last year to 2.88% this year," he said when announcing the analysis of the results on Thursday, 17th November 2011.
Candidates can check their results via the short messaging system (SMS).
To do so, type UPSR, candidate's number, and send to 15888.
The service will be active from from 10am Thursday (November 17th 2011) to midnight on November 23rd 2011.
