Air Asia is Asia's largest low fare, no frills airline - with the tagline - Now Everybody Can Fly!!!
A low-cost airline based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Air Asia operates scheduled domestic and international flights and pioneered low cost travelling in Asia.
It is also the first airline in the region to implement fully ticketless travel and unassigned seats.
AirAsia, the leading and largest low-cost carrier in Asia, services the most extensive network in South East Asia with over 114 routes covering more than 64 destinations.
Within the grasp of 7 years of operation, AirAsia has carried over 55 million passengers and grown its fleet from just two aircraft to 74.
The airline today is proud to be a truly ASEAN airline with established operations based in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, servicing a network stretching across all ASEAN nations and China.
This is further complemented by AirAsia X, its low cost long-haul affiliate carrier that currently flies to destinations in China and Australia. AirAsia thus is the only regional carrier with the largest destination network and highest flight frequencies.
AirAsia has been ranked Top 5 among the most recognized and admired airlines in the Asia Pacific Top 1000 Brands 2008 survey and voted as the Best Budget Airline in Asia by SmartTravelAsia.com for 3 consecutive years since 2006.
