She is Singapore's top blogger and top in Asia as well.

With Total visits of 60,073,958 or 60 millions as of today 19th July 2011, she is in fact one of the top bloggers in the world.

And as of today, her blog recorded 40,700 average visits per day and 49,390 page views per day. Her page views total is a whopping 75,993,770 or close to 76 million as of today 19th July 2011.

She started blogging since 2003 and has since won many awards including Singapore's top blogger 2003, Asian best weblog 2004 and 2005, Asia Pacific Blog Awards winner, Most Influential Blog and Best Original Blog Design.

Who is she?

Well she is none other than Wendy Cheng or Xiaxue whose blog is http://xiaxue.blogspot.com

She is of Asian origin and yet she has blonde hair and blue eyes.

She is already married to American engineer Mike Sayre... Sorry Guys.

Most of the time, she blogs about herself and her trips to locations around the world.

She also blogs about daily life in Singapore.

And the way she writes and her cute looks, make her blog popular as ever.

One lesson i learnt about her is that, don't mess with her. If she is pissed off, she can be a mean girl. One of her blog entries read like these :

How an Iranian website helped increase visits to my blog by 1,000 folds!!

I started blogging since December 2008 as a small time, naive part time blogger.

At first, i am not into blogging, but rather interested to do something else which brings much fun eg. beer guzzling and of course eye-stalking any sexy women who happened to pass by.

I started blogging because my brother is an active blogger and he get paid for that!!

At first, i received 0 (a big fat zero visit).

But after slowly learning the trade, the tricks and reading other super bloggers' blogs, i started getting maybe 20 - 30 visits per day.

But an incredible thing happened one fine day.

While lazily and sleepily browsing my blog on one Friday morning, 15th October 2010, i saw that there are 8,300++ visitors to my blog.

Hmmm.. This is totally impossible.!!

Heck I thought... something is very wrong with the computer or maybe some computer savy jackass from Bucharest, hijacked the internet superhighway.

The next day, the visits continued to soar spectacularly to over 15,000 visits on Saturday, 16th October 2010 alone.!!!!!



That is almost 15K uniques in ONE day - that is totally impressive, far beyond my wildest dreams.

The next day, Sunday, 17th October 2010, i thought i am the new super blogger in Malaysia and is ready to say Bye Bye to Kenny Sia, Rocky Bru, Beautiful Nara, Tun Dr Mahathir, Xia Xue, Obama, JFK and Xingwei as the new undisputed blogger of the world.!!!

But after 3 days, the traffic was back to normal!!!

After doing a little CSI - Crime Scene Investigation - i found out that the sudden soar was solely contributed by balatarin.com, an Iranian digg-like portal.

The operation language of the portal is Persian.

Bye bye sunshine.. bye bye man.. Xia Xue is already married to her beau - the handsome American - Michael Sayre aka Mike in December 2009. I used to have a crush on her, that is why i am still blogging about Xia Xue marriage, even after almost 4 months passed since she tied the knots with Mike aka Mike Tyson!!!!

The glittering ceremony took place at a posh hotel in Singapore and i was not invited!!! hehehe

Well.... Xia Xue or Wendy Cheng is Singapore's top and most popular blogger.

She has won many accolades including Best Asian Blog and many many more awards.

Xiaxue, started blogging in April 2003 and by October 2008, her blog attracted some300,000 visitors per month. Singapore's National Library Board has added her to its electronic archives. By now, i think based on modest estimation, her blog could have atrracted some 1 million page views per month!!! She is definitely making money and getting a lot of perks, by blogging.

Compare that to the gadget blog Gizmodo which had almost 100 million pageviews in January 2009 alone, and fantastically profitable.

A personal-diary type blog, Dooce earns USD500K to USD1 million a year, which works out to much more than RM100,000 a month.

Tech blog TechCrunch earned USD3 million in 2007 and even more the next.

The Huffington Post raised USD25 million in 2008.

China top blogger, Xu Jinlei attracted some 3 million hits on her blog on a monthly basis.

Malaysia's top blogger like Kenny Sia reportedly earned more than RM10,000 per month via Nuffnang alone.



Well Xiau Xue also briefly became a celebrity blogger for The Straits Times newspaper, a Maxim columnist, and co-starred in a sort of reality TV series, Girls Out Loud.

She also did a fortnightly series, Xiaxue's Guide To Life.

As you'd expect, most of Xiaxue's readers – around 70% – live in Singapore or Malaysia. For the rest of us, she's a virtual tourist spot, providing an uncensored, unmediated and somewhat voyeuristic peek into a different society. Well, every nation has their own Xiau Xue in the bloggers world.

Bloggers beware - 6 Malaysians charged in court over web posting, insulting the Sultan of Perak

KUALA LUMPUR: In the first conviction of its kind, lab assistant Azrin Md Zain, 33, was fined RM10,000 or, in default, five months jail, at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for posting comments insulting the Sultan of Perak on the Internet on Feb 12.

He became the first ever person to be convicted under the Multimedia and Communications Act 1998 and was among the six charged Friday in courts nationwide for similar offences.

Azrin admitted to have sent his comments to the guests book at http://books.dreambook.com/duli/duli.html which has linked to the Sultan’s official website with intention to annoy other person.

The father of one has committed the offence using his personal Internet protocol account at his house in Taman Tun Dr Ismail here at 9.12pm on Feb 12.

According to the facts of the case, information technology officer Noorhaliza Masri, from Perak secretariat office, lodged a complaint at Multimedia Communications Commission on Feb 16 upon detecting the posting which insulted the Sultan.

The Telekom Malaysia had confirmed that Azrin had used TM Net Streamyx on that day.

The commission had obtained a search warrant from Kajang magistrate’s court on Feb 19 to check at his house and seized a laptop, a modem and a telephone bill dated Dec 28 last year registered under his name.

On Friday, Azrin told Sessions Court judge Rozana Ali Yusoff that it was his own mistake for committing the offence.

“I was not in the right state of mind. I was in the midst of doing online forex trading to New York. My profits were negative. So I just clicked to the website. I posted the comments without thinking.

“I will not touch the website anymore because the Malaysians are actually sensitive,” he promised.

The diploma holder repeatedly expressed his regrets to the judge.

In mitigating further, Azrin said he was not a member of any political party.

“I have also clicked on a website which praised Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak,” said Azrin who stood near the witness stand and promised to be a law abiding citizen if he got a lenient sentence.

DPP Nahra Dolah however pressed for deterrent sentence saying that the case involved public interest and the court had to send a strong message to Internet users about the gravity of the offence.

At the same court, self-employed Muslim Ahmad, 54, claimed trial to three counts of posting offensive remarks against the Sultan in February.

In the Butterworth Sessions Court, Penang, Chan Hon Keong, 27, pleaded not guilty while Khoo Hui Shuang was absent and was summoned for mention of the case on April 15.

The two were accused of posting and distributing comments containing obscenities and offensive comments on a website linked to the Sultan of Perak’s website.

At the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court, land surveyor Nor Hisham Osman, 36, claimed trial to defaming the Sultan of Perak.

Judge Balqis Ainin Mohd fixed bail at RM4,000 with one surety and fixed next hearing on Apr 14.

Meanwhile, in Kota Kinabalu, Bernama reported that a mobile phone salesman pleaded not guilty to spreading a comment which insulted the Sultan of Perak through a website.

Rutinin Suhaimin, 36, was charged with committing the offence on Feb 13 and linking the offensive remarks to the website http://books.dreambooks.com/duliduli.html with link to a website on the Sultan Perak, www.sultanperak.gov.my.

If found guilty, Rutinin can be jailed for up to a year or fined up to RM50,000, or both.

Sessions Court judge Ummu Kalthom Abdul Samad fixed May 25 and 26 for trial and allowed bail of RM10,000 with a deposit RM5,000 and two sureties.
