The second tale of Gaza or Gazza is not in Gaza, but rather in England.

Paul Gascoigne or better known as Gazza was one of England soccer superstar. He helped England reached the semifinal of the 1990 world cup in Italy – the best ever achievement since England became World Cup winner in 1966.

However after retirement, Gazza still hits the headlines of British and world Media because of his addiction to booze and drugs, which nearly killed him.

Even his 12 year old son, Regan, was reported to have said this “If I could wish, I would wish that he would go away from us. He's probably going to die soon” during a TV documentary shown on Channel 4.

But Gazza is determined to end that miserable life of his by staying sober for 1 month already….

We still remember what happened to Northern Ireland and Manchester United football legend – George Best… whose ravishing lifestyles of booze, drugs, girls and rock n roll had finally taken its tool.. Rest in Peace Mr Best..

In Danbury, Connecticut, United States of America, a 79 year old retired factory worker, Donald Peters died, but he unknowingly provided financial security for his wife of 59 years, Charlotte and their family.

Peters bought two Connecticut Lottery tickets at a local 7-Eleven store on Nov. 1 as part of a 20-year tradition he shared with his 78 year old wife. Later that day, Donald suffered a fatal heart attack while working in his yard.
On Friday, his widow cashed in one of the tickets: a $10 million winner which, in her grief over her husband's death, she had put aside and almost discarded before recently checking the numbers.
"I'm numb," Charlotte Peters, said at Connecticut Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill.

Donald Peters usually bought the tickets for 10 weeks at a stretch, so the winning ticket he bought Nov. 1 for the Dec. 2 drawing was among several that Charlotte Peters put aside as she, their three children and two grandchildren coped with his sudden death.
Charlotte Peters has 60 days to decide whether to take a $6 million pre-tax lump sum payment or stretch the winnings into 21 yearly payments of almost $477,300 each.

She does not yet know what she will do with the money.

But definitely Donald Peters is smiling from above. Happy because his family no longer needs to worry about financial matters. Donald Peters is definitely a lucky guy till his last moment in this world….!!!!

GPMG, Mesingan pelbagai guna TLDM menakutkan lanun Somalia....

Berikut adalah laporan muka hadapan Utusan Malaysia 2 januari 2009 mengenai insiden serangan lanun Somalia yang semakin menjadi jadi di perairan Teluk Aden :-

KUALA LUMPUR 1 Januari 2009. – Dua minggu selepas menyelamatkan kapal dagang China daripada dirampas lanun di Teluk Aden dekat Somalia, Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) hari ini berjaya menggagalkan pula cubaan lanun merampas sebuah kapal tangki India di perairan sama.
Kehadiran helikopter Fennec dari kapal perang TLDM, KD Sri Inderasakti yang dilengkapi mesingan pelbagai guna (GPMG) 12.7mm berjaya membuatkan lanun-lanun dari dua bot yang sedang menembak kapal MT Abul Kalam Azad, melarikan diri.
Dalam kejadian pukul 6.30 pagi itu (11.30 pagi waktu Malaysia), kapal KD Sri Inderasakti yang menerima panggilan kecemasan (SOS) dari kapal tangki itu segera mengarahkan helikopter Fennec untuk membantu.
Kapal perang itu berada kira-kira 28 kilometer dari lokasi MT Abul Kalam Azad yang sedang diserang oleh dua bot lanun.
Helikopter TLDM tiba di lokasi kejadian kurang 10 minit kemudian dan menyertai helikopter Dauphine dari kapal Tentera Laut Arab Saudi (HMS Al-Dammam) untuk menghalang rampasan kapal tangki tersebut.
Panglima Armada TLDM, Laksamana Madya Datuk Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin memberitahu Utusan Malaysia malam ini, menyedari kehadiran helikopter Fennec yang dilengkapi GPMG, kedua-dua bot lanun itu yang berasa terancam telah beredar melarikan diri.
Menurutnya, lanun-lanun tersebut sebelum itu cuba merampas kapal tangki itu dengan menembaknya.

TAWAU, Jan 3 — Tawau acting OCPD Supt Ramli Ali Mat was seriously injured after being stabbed in his house in Taman Ria 5 at about 2am today.
Bernama understands that Ramli, who was alone in the house, was stabbed in the abdomen in an attack by a group of five men.

Happy new year 2009 especially to Milagros Cerron - the real life Little Mermaid who captivated millions in the world. She will turn 5 on 28 April 2009.

Milagros Cerron, whose first name means "miracles" in Spanish, was born on with a rare defect called Mermaid syndrome, or sirenomelia, which is often deadly.

She is thought to be one of just three survivors of the disorder in the world.

Doctors said - Normally babies like her die within 72 hours of birth.

"She's a very happy child who likes to play with her friends," said Ricardo Cerron, her father.

Before her four-hour operation, Milagros' legs were trapped in a sack of tissue and fat down to her heels. Her feet were splayed in a "V" that looked like a mermaid's tail.

One-year-old baby Milagros Cerron is seen at a hospital in Lima May 30, 2005. Milagros, who has been dubbed the "Little Mermaid" because of a rare birth defect in which her legs are joined together, is to undergo operation very soon after this photograph was taken.

A German carpenter - Bruno Haptmann became the world most hated man in 1935 for a crime he purportedly commited and dubbed as The Crime of The Century..

And what is that all about????

Bruno Richard Hauptmann (November 26, 1899 – April 3, 1936) was sentenced to death and executed for the abduction and murder of Charles Augustus Lindbergh Jr., the 20-month-old son of famous pilots Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh.

The Lindbergh kidnapping gained international infamy, and has become known as "The Crime of the Century."

WHO IS CHARLES LINDBERGH??

On May 20–21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh emerged from virtual obscurity to world fame as the result of his solo non-stop flight from New York (Roosevelt Field) to Paris (Le Bourget Field) in the single-seat, single-engine monoplane Spirit of St. Louis.

Lindbergh, an Army reserve officer, was also awarded the nation's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his historic exploit.

However 5 years after the feat, Lindbergh son was kidnapped..

After Lindbergh child disappeared on 1 March 1932, posters like this were distributed across New Jersey.

The kidnapping of Charles Lindbergh Jr. occurred on the evening of March 1, 1932.

A man was believed to have climbed up a ladder that was placed to the bedroom window of the child's room and quietly snatched the child by wrapping him in a blanket and exited the same way.

A note demanding a ransom of $50,000 was later delivered to the Lindbergh house. The ransom was delivered, but the infant was not returned.

A corpse identified as the boy's was found on May 12, 1932 in the woods four miles from the Lindbergh home. The cause of death was listed as a very severe blow to the head.

It has never been proven if the infant's head injury was accidental or deliberate, or if it occurred if the child was accidentally dropped from the window by the kidnapper during the abduction.

More than two years later, on September 18, 1934, a $10 gold certificate from the ransom money was discovered;

it had a license plate number written on it. Gold certificates were rapidly being withdrawn from circulation; to see one was unusual and, in this case, anything attracted attention.

The New York license plate belonged to a dark blue Dodge sedan owned by Hauptmann. Hauptmann was arrested the next day and charged with the murder.

The trial attracted wide media attention and was dubbed the “trial of the century.”

Hauptmann was also named "The Most Hated Man In The World."

The trial was held in Flemington, New Jersey, from January 2 to February 13, 1935.

Bruno Hauptmann, was convicted and sentenced to death by electric chair for the kidnapping and murder of Charles Augustus Lindbergh Jr.

However in recent years, the case against Hauptmann has come under serious scrutiny, as it has been alleged that some of the evidence used to convict him was planted or doctored and that false testimony was given at the trial. What did modern forensic scientists determine about evidence from the kidnapping?

Datuk conrad mojuntin, nephew, jailed

He was a former Sabah cabinet minister of culture, youth and sports during the Berjaya led state government of Sabah in the 1980's. However New Year 2009 for Datuk Conrad Mojuntin, 60, is not what he has hoped to look forward to.

According to local news report including Bernama and The Star Online, Datuk Conrad, today January 2nd, 2009, was sentenced to six months’ jail for criminal intimidation of a businessman, in connection with the fatal shooting of a man three years ago, more precisely at 3.30 am, on October 23rd 2005, outside a nightspot -SJD Cafe & Sports at Donggongon, Penampang.

High Court judicial commisioner Datuk Abdul Rahman Sebli also ordered Conrad and his nephew David Mojuntin, 45, to pay RM2,000 each or face three months’ jail in default in a second charge of causing hurt to a businessman at 4 am, at the same venue and date. They paid the fine.

Justice Abdul Rahman however allowed a stay of execution of the jail sentence after Conrad’s lawyer Zahir Shah said they would appealing against it. Datuk Conrad was subsequently released on RM5,000 bail.
