Sultan of Brunei divorced Azrinaz

On Wednesday 16th June 2010, the world media reported that the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, divorced his Malaysian wife, Her Royal Highness, Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar after five years of marriage.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, the 63-year-old absolute monarch of this tiny,
oil-rich country on Borneo island, married Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim, a former
Malaysian TV news journalist, in August 2005.

Azrinaz, who is fondly known as Naz, started work as a Broadcast Journalist with Malaysian private and no. 1 television channel TV3 Malaysia in 1997. She won TV3’s "Most Promising Journalist" award in 2000 and received the Malaysian Institute of Integrative Media, M-I-I-M, Alumni Award in 2002.

She quit TV3 in May 2005, saying that she wanted to "venture into other undertakings", which actually means she was getting married.

Azrinaz, 30, gave birth to the sultan's 11th child, a baby boy, Prince Abdul Wakeel less than
a year after their wedding, on 1st June 2006 at 12.43 am.

A 21-cannon salute was fired at the vicinity of the Istana Nurul Iman to celebrate the birth.

On 28 January 2008 at 4.21pm, she gave birth to a princess, Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah.







Brunei's palace announced on state television and radio late Wednesday, 16th June 2010, that the sultan has divorced Azrinaz and revoked all her royal titles.

No other details were made available, but rumors of a royal breakup had been
circulating in Brunei.

This is the second divorce for the Sultan of Brunei, who was once the richest man in the world and whose private fortune has been
estimated to total at least USD$20 billion in recent years.

He broke up with former airline stewardess Mariam Abdul Aziz, who is of Bruneian, Japanese and
Scottish ancestry, in February 2003 after 21 years of marriage.

He remains married to his first wife, Raja Isteri Pengiran Hajjah Anak Saleha, whom he wed in 1967.

Their son, Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah Bolkiah, is heir to the throne.

The Sultan of Brunei ascended to the throne on Oct. 5, 1967, after his father
abdicated.


The Sultan's wealth is legendary. While playing polo with Britain's Prince
Charles, he once had his polo shoes delivered -- by helicopter -- to the palace
field.

The Daily Mirror (UK) reported on 26 October 2007 that the Sultan owned 130 Rolls Royces, 531 Mercedes-Benzes, 367 Ferraris, 362 Bentleys, 185 BMWs, 177 Jaguars, 160 Porsches and 20 Lamborghinis.

However according to Guinness World Records the Sultan's personal private collection has more than 600 Rolls-Royces, more than 450 Ferraris, and 134 Koenigseggs — the largest collection of that marque in the world.

During the 1990s, his family accounted for almost half of all Rolls-Royce purchases, bulk buying slightly modified vehicles for diplomats and adding unique cars to their own collection. He also owns the very last Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, a 1992 state landaulette.

For personal use, the sultan has two Boeing 747-400s furnished with gold plated furniture with an estimated value of USD$233 million including USD$3 million on furniture each. He also owns six smaller planes and two helicopters.

The Sultan of Brunei also operates a USD$3 billion theme park called Jerudong Park, which in the past used to be free of charge.




Michael Jackson once performed at Jerudong Park, Brunei on July 16th, 1996 in conjunction with the Sultan of Brunei's 50th Birthday. The mega show by the mega star was free of charges for Bruneians to watch the King of Pop on that day.

His official residence is the Istana Nurul Iman, with approximately 1,888 rooms, 290 bathrooms, and a floor area of 2,152,782 square feet (200,000 m²), undisputedly the world's second largest palace after Beijing's Forbidden City (720,000 m²).


Whenever the traffic stops at the entrance of the Sultan of Brunei's Istana Nurul Iman in Bandar Seri Begawan, either The Sultan himself, or his princes and princesses came out of the Palace. In this case, a Lamborghini or Ferrari is being driven by one of his princes.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah has five sons and seven daughters with his three wives.

Sekiranya video teknologi diguna pakai, Juara Piala Dunia 1966 bukan England, sebaliknya Jerman Barat sebab gol ketiga England oleh Geoff Hurst pada final 1966, sebenarnya tidak masuk, tapi referee kata masuk.. England menang final itu 4-2.

Begitu juga "Hand of God" gol kontoversi Diego Maradona pada perlawanan suku akhir piala dunia 1986 Argentina menentang England. Gol menggunakan tangan itu dikira, Maradonna menewaskan Peter Shilton dan Argentina menang 2-1.

Pada final Piala Konfederasi 2009 di Afrika Selatan, Gol sah Brazil ketika menentang Amerika Syarikat tidak dikira, meskipun bola sudah melepasi garisan.. Nasib baik Brazil menang perlawanan itu 3-2.

US man went on solo mission to kill Osama bin Laden

An American man has been detained in the mountains of Pakistan after authorities found him carrying a sword, pistol and night-vision goggles on a solo mission to hunt down and kill Osama bin Laden.

Friends and family say construction worker Gary Brooks Faulkner is a devout, good-humored Christian who was "on a mission" to kill or capture Osama.

"A lot of kids grow up and say, 'I want to be Rambo,' you know? Well, he is," said Faulkner's brother, Scott Faulkner, 43. He said his brother made five previous trips to Pakistan.

The 50-year-old Faulkner, who has a lengthy arrest record and served time in Colorado prisons, arrived June 3 in the town of Bumburate and stayed in a hotel there. He was assigned a police guard, as is common for foreigners visiting remote parts of Pakistan.

When he checked out without informing police, officers began looking for him, according to the top police officer in the Chitral region, Mumtaz Ahmad Khan. Faulkner was found late Sunday in a forest.

"We initially laughed when he told us that he wanted to kill Osama bin Laden," Khan said. But when officers seized the weapons and night-vision equipment, "our suspicion grew." He said the American was trying to cross into the nearby Afghan region of Nuristan.

Chitral and Nuristan are among several rumored hiding places for bin Laden along the mountainous border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Pakistan's military and intelligence establishment generally deny the possibility that bin Laden is hiding somewhere along the Pakistan-Afghan border, as Western intelligence agencies believe.

World Cup 2010 - if France played in that manners against Uruguay, they will never win the world cup

Les Bleus can forget to ever win the 2010 World Cup if they played like some 3rd world country during the 0-0 draw against Uruguay in the Group A match on June 11, 2010.

It was dissapointing for Les Bleus fans, but not for me because i am a Brazilian fan!!

During the disastrous 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan, France, the then defending champion started very badly, losing 0-1 to Senegal, before drawing 0-0 with Uruguay and lost to Denmark 0-2 in the final game.

France - the then reigning World Cup champion, exited the 2002 world cup without scoring a goal, earning just 1 point!!! Even the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry and David Trezeguet could not save the Muskeeters - Les Miserables!!!

In the 2006 World Cup in Germany, France also started badly, drawing 0-0 with Switzerland and 1-1 with South Korea in the first 2 matches. They only earned their tickets to the knock out round after dismantling lowly Togo 2-0. The rest was history, in the knock out stage, France trounced Spain 3-1, Brazil 1-0 and Portugal 1-0 before losing 3-5 on penalties to Italy after the score was deadlocked at 1-1 after extra time.

In the current 2010 world cup in South Africa, France drew 0-0 with their old 2002 nemesis - Uruguay. Remember France also drew 0-0 with Uruguay in the disastrous 2002 world cup. Will history repeat itself?? Les Bleus will be Les Miserables...

Strange, strange, strange.

During the opening match of the 2010 World Cup at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg on 11 June 2010, the stadium was filled with 84,490 spectators.

People all around the world as far as Alaska, Australia and Papua New Guinea and New Zealand and the south Pole heard the cheers and also the traditional South African musical instrument - the VUVUZELA.

Strangely, the South African goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune said there was not enough people cheering and not enough Vuvuzela for his side. In that match, South Africa drew 1-1 with Mexico. Mexico's Rafael Marquez 79th minute goal cancelled out Siphiwe Tshabalala 55th minute goal for South Africa.

Maybe Khune was half deaf???

But he was brilliant in stopping Mexico's dangerman Giovani Dos Santos, shots including a shot going towards Khune's left goal post.

World Cup 2010 - Mexico's Dos Santos is the new star of the tournament

AFter barely 1 game, the World Cup 2010 has produced one superstar - Mexico's striker Giovani Dos Santos. He is only 21 years old, yet he showed the touch of a genius during Mexico's 1-1 draw against South AFrica in the opening match of the 2010 World Cup played at the Soccer City, Johannesburg.

In that game, Dos Santos played like Maradonna, his hunger for goal was like Gerd Muller and Eusebio and his delicate skills was like George Best and Johan Cryuff.

Mexico can go far in this tournament if Dos Santos continues to play like that!!

However, my heart is for Brazil for ever. Viva Brazil!!!

How many "Fritzl" out there???

Well, another "Fritzl" has been uncovered, this time in Brazil.

Jose Agostinho Pereira, 54, kept his own daughter prisoner for 12 years, in a 2-room shack in a remote fishing village in Pinheiro, Brazil.

During that period, Pereira fathered 7 children with her, aged between 2 yrs old to 12 yrs old who are malnourished and can barely communicate.

Pereira was arrested after the local police were tipped by an anonymous call.

This latest case has chilling echoes of Austrian cellar monster Josef Fritzl.

Fritzl, 75, was jailed last year for locking up his daughter Elisabeth for 24 years in an underground cellarand fathering 7 children with her.

Hence, all cases of similar natures are now being reffered as "Fritzl".

It depends on the country of origins - we have heard cases of the Italian Fritzl, The Australian Fritzl and now the Brazilian Fritzl.!!!!

Recently, media reported that Argentine soccer prodigy and 2009 European and world player of the year - Lionel Messi snores a lot whenever he sleeps. Well Messi shares the same habit like me!!!

And according to his teamates including Juan Sebastian Veron, any person who sleeps in the same room with Messi will be in a mess and will wake up messy in the morning.

Messi's snored like maybe the sound of a Grass cutter or even the sound of a roaring Superhornet jet fighter!!

But who cares, as long as Messi scored 10 or 20 goals in this world cup, we humanbeings as well as the extra terrestials UFOs will be entertained.

20. Pasukan paling lama belum memenangi Piala Dunia sejak kali terakhir memenanginya ialah Uruguay. Pasukan itu juara piala Dunia 1950 menewaskan Brazil 2-1 di stadium Maracana, Brazil. Namun setelah 60 tahun, Uruguay gagal menjulang semula tropi keramat itu.

The Unduk Ngadau contest is heavily covered by the local media every year

Back on 24th May 2010, i wrote in this posting about Crystel Eve Huminodun Majinbon, who is widely tipped to win the Unduk Ngadau this year, 2010.

And i was right. Crystel Eve did won the UNDUK NGADAU 2010 held at the KDCA, Penampang on 31st May 2010 (Monday).

She is the pride of her family. Earlier in 1984 or exactly 26 years ago, Crystel mother - Esther Sikayun also won the Unduk Ngadau!! Deja Vu..!!

After the win, Crystel Eve became an instant celebrity in Sabah and also Malaysia.

But due to her very long and exotic name, some local and national media, spelled her name wrongly. Some wrote Crystal instead of Crystel and some newspapers printed Majinbun or Majimbon or Majimbun instead of Majinbon!!

But who care, the most important things is that Crystel won!!

One question however kept being murmured by people especially men - is she available? Does she has a sweetheart already?? Well only Crystel and Esther Sikayun know the answers!!

Congrats Crystel Eve Huminodun Majinbon!!!

Keunikan nama di Sabah

Seorang Lelaki Sabah yang boleh bercakap dalam pelbagai bahasa termasuk bahasa India, Cina dan Siam!!!

Sabah yang terletak di kepulauan Borneo, sememangnya dikenali sebagai negeri yang mempunyai lebih 40 kumpulan etnik. Kepelbagaian etnik dan tradisi itu menyumbang kepada keunikan nama masyarakat di Sabah itu sendiri.

Untuk rekod, antara suku kaum yang terdapat di Sabah adalah rumpun Kadazan Dusun Murut, Lotud, Tatana, Sungai, Tombonuoh, Kokos, Bajau, Dusun Gana, Dusun Tobilung, Rungus, Tidong, Lundayuh dan macam macam lagi.

Selain kaya dengan keunikan gaya hidup tradisional, rumpun masyarakat pelbagai kaum di Sabah juga kaya dengan keunikan nama individunya.

Jangan terkejut jika anda mendengar nama Bahaya, Liar Sungguh, Mahal, Manis Muka, Haji Kalipunya (California), Sikuk, Sahaban (Sabahan), Sabud, Cenderamata, USNO, Berjaya dan Malaysia dan sebagainya.

Di Semporna, pantai Timur Sabah, ada ahli wanita UMNO Bahagian yang bernama Puan Manismuka binti Mohd Dara.

Di Semporna juga, ada lelaki yang bernama Malaysia kerana dilahirkan pada 31 Ogos 1957 atau 16 September 1963, jika saya tidak silap.

Di Sabah Electricity Sendirian Berhad pula, pengurus perhubungan korporat adalah Puan Chenderamata binti Haji Sinteh.

Di Labuan, Ahli Parlimennya bukan jual mahal tapi sekadar namanya memang YB Datuk Yusuf Mahal.

Menteri Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan Sabah merangkap Bendahari UMNO Sabah pula adalah Datuk Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, kata orang menteri yang paling banyak naik haji.

Penulis berita Utusan Borneo - Abd.Naddin Hj Shaiddin pula pernah menulis dalam laman blognya mengenai pengalaman bertemu seseorang yang namanya Bahaya bin Unggus, 84 tahun dari Kudat dalam laman blognya

Speaker Dewan Rakyat pula adalah seorang pendekar berhati mulia dari Kota Belud, Sabah - Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Haji Mulia.

Di Sabah juga, beberapa lokasi masih menggunakan nama British iaitu Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Kota Kinabalu dan Hospital Duchess of Kent, Sandakan.

Dulunya, Pantai Tanjung Aru dikenali Taman Prince Philip sempena nama suami Ratu Elizabeth kedua.

Begitu juga pekan Beaufort yang bunyinya seolah olah sebuah pekan di Eropah.

Di Kinabatangan pula ada Paris iaitu kampung Paris I, II dan III di Kinabatangan.

Di Kiulu pula ada UK - Ulu Kiulu dan di Likas ada KL iaitu Kampung Likas!!!

Di Papar ada Pantai Manis yang sudah hilang manisnya akibat pencemaran sampah dan hakisan pantai, di Semporna ada penempatan belum sempurna dari segi kemudahan rakyat dan di Pulau Gaya, kini sudah tidak bergaya akibat kebanjiran pendatang asing.

Di Telupid pula ada USA - Ulu Sapi Agropolitan!!!

Di Sarawak, ada Ahli Parlimen yang baik hati dan berkhidmat cemerlang kepada rakyat tetapi kadangkala disalah ertikan sebagai bengis sebab namanya YB Richard Riot!!

Ada juga namanya diambil daripada makanan ruji penduduk Eropah dan Amerika iaitu YB Joseph Salang Gandum!!

Di Sabah pula, YB yang dikatakan pengurup wang paling terkenal ialah YB Tan Sri Joseph Kurup!!

Jangan marah YB2, Datuk2, Tan Sri2 semua... sekadar gurauan aja...

Hmmmm.. Macam Macam... Kata orang jauh perjalanan, luas pemandangan.

19 year old Malaysian teenager RM 8 Million gambling debts!!!

This could be the youngest gambler in the world with huge gambling debts - to the tune of 8 Million Malaysian Ringgit or roughly USD 2.5 Million!!! Yet that teenage heavy gambler is only 19 years old. He started gambling when he was 16 and still attending college. In 3 years, he lost RM8 Million or roughly USD 2.5 Million dollars.

He was financially supported by his rich millionaire father. He was also influenced by his father's compulsive and heavy gambling habit!!!

Like father like son hah!!!

Top Malaysian English language newspaper, the Star reported that the boy's compulsion for betting was so great that he came to be known as the Little Dragon.

According to the Star, the teenager grew up watching his father gamble and at the age of 16, he began to gamble after gambling agents gave him a credit line of RM100,000 or roughly USD 32,000.

Each time he was buried in debt, his father would bail him out. Over these 3 years, there have been several bail-outs.

However when the accumulated losses came to RM8 million, it was the last straw for the father. The man, in his 50s, barred him from gambling and stopped his son from attending college. He now works with his father.

According to the newspaper, the teenager who was pursuing an Australian degree programme at a college in Petaling Jaya near Kuala Lumpur had on several occasions used college fees to settle his debts and extend his credit line.

He would lie to his father that college fees needed to be paid and use the money to pay the gambling agents.

On occasions when he could not settle the debt, the agents would send Ah Long or illegal money lender to collect from the father.

Gambling agents were the culprits who went after teenagers from rich families.

Most times, these agents would go to ‘high-end colleges’ and look for these rich kids.

Gambling does not pay.

First Lady, Michelle Obama challenged by a Mexican schoolgirl!!

It happended when the United States First Lady Michelle Obama visited a primary school in Maryland, USA.

Can you imagine that, a tender and very young and innocent school girl challenged one of the most powerful ladies in the world??

When this video made its way to Youtube, viewers posted comments which included - "deport this kid and her mom to Mexico"!!!

During the visit, the girl apparently of Mexican descendant, said her mother - who she revealed was an undocumented migrant - said Barack Obama was "taking everybody away that doesn't have some papers".

In response, Mrs Obama said work should be done to ensure immigrants had proper papers.

The US First Lady was at the school with the wife of Mexican President Felipe Calderon, whose US visit has been dominated by immigration issues.

The exchange occurred when Mrs Obama and her counterpart Margarita Zavala were visting the school in Silver Spring, Maryland.

After being challenged by the unidentified girl, Mrs Obama said: "That's something that we have to work on, to make sure that people can be here with the right kind of papers."

The girl then said "but my mum doesn't have papers". The First Lady replied: "We have to fix that. And everybody's got to work together in Congress to make sure that that happens."

The headteacher said the school did not inquire about the immigration status of parents.

During his visit, both Mr Calderon and Mr Obama criticised a controversial new immigration law in Arizona.

Whoaaaa... Any comment Mr President Obama...??
