Miley Cyrus - she looks like Stacy (Malaysia's own Hannah Montana) Come this sunday 18 January 2009, 9 pm, most Malaysians will be glued in front of TV, watching TV 3's annual Juara Lagu - the 23rd edition since 1986.
Altogether 14 top songs will be sung live by Malaysia's top crooners and one of them will be chosen as The grand winner or the best song in Malaysia in 2008.
One of the favourite contestant is Sabah born Stacy Angie Anam - who will belt out the phenomenal success song - "AKU STACY"...
Another song to watch is Lagu Untuk Mu - by Meet Uncle Hussain.
Stacy gained instant fame and celebrity status when she become Champion of the reality TV show - Akademi Fantasia last year - becoming the first Sabahan to achieve that super feat.
But what strikes me most is that she cuts an uncanny resemblance to US teenage superstar - Miley Cyrus of Hannah Montana fame... the hit TV show shown on Disney Channel.
Cyrus became a worldwide sensation after Hannah Montana debuted in March 2006.
In December 2007, she was ranked no 17 in the list of "Forbes Top 20 Superstar Earners under the age of 25" with an annual earning of US$3.5 million (whoaaaa!!!)
Cyrus's solo music career began with the release of her debut album, Meet Miley Cyrus on June 23, 2007.
Her second album, Breakout was released on July 22, 2008. Both albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.
In 2008, Cyrus was listed among artists and entertainers as one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in The World.
Cute Stacy whose real name is Stracie Angie Anam, hails from Penampang, Sabah.
Maybe Stacy has a long way to go before getting near to Miley present accomplishment..
But mind you, we Sabahans and Malaysians firmly support you Stacy.
